Just for context, The Crew Motorfest has 119 Playlist races while NFS Unbound currently has around 58 if you jump online. And NFS had far less at launch. Replay races guys... It is a RACING game. Professional drivers don't do 3 laps and call it quits on their career. Racing is all about improving and repetition. IMO you shouldn't be playing a racing game if you play through the races once and get bored. And stop this trend of hating everything and shitting on someone because they enjoy something.
I really hope they get rid of those stupid ghost races and add pedestrians. The ghost races just add confusion, throughout the demo I tried to avoid them and ended up crashing lol. Pedestrians would be a way better option to make the map feel more alive.
But in the crew 2 they were low res and when u would try hit then they would do a ganky unbelievable move which really lowered player immersion so if they do bring it back the plp would need to be at least higher res and maybe be able to hit them
Just wanted to point out that only the first time you play the playlist you are using the loaned car. After you finish the playlist the first time you have the option to redo each race either as Main Stage, Custom Race or the Playlist mode you just completed. When you replay the race in Playlist mode now you are using the car you bought, not the loaned one anymore, full upgrades and customization.
The problem with this is that this only appeals to people who are in the habit of replaying and grinding For players who want to move onto new playlists and see more of the game (and there is a ton to see, with the game starting off at 15 playlists) instead of repeating the same few, there's next to no chance to use their own car collection
This was a very entertaining and broad review and I loved it. I played the trial and I enjoyed the game a lot and now I'm convinced that I want to buy the game. I'm just going to have to wait for a discount because 70€ is quite a price even though the game is awesome.
I like the game... I have only played like an hour of The Crew 2 when it came out so this is all new to me... Definitely not new to Simulation/arcade racers and I have to say, I love this handling model. I have every assist turned off and sometimes it's a struggle. The bad parts about this game imo are: - Nitro (why.... it's not NFS, change of pace probably but it doesn't make sense and if you disable it, it's only disabled for you) - AI... they are so fucking agressive, constantly bumping you, smacking you and besides that, they cut corners like a crazy person... I had to change my entire style of racing (which is follow the road to cut corners when you can because AI doesn't care either) The ghost cars are terrible but I'd say the overall way the AI races you is the biggest "dissapointment" in the game.. The pricing of the vehicles are just strange imo.. the most valuable car, the Merc 300SLR Uhlenhaut is 142mil irl, in game 500k. The F40 is 500k. A Ducati Diavel is 350k... it's just off. Graphics, feel of the game, the map and details are good!

Ppl complaining about grinding for in game money are the ppl we can blame for all the MTX bs we have. Those ppl dont want to play the game to unlock things they just want everything right now so instead of actually playing the fucking game organically they go in the shop and pay real money for fake currency. 🤷♂️
I don't really like some of the sounds on the larger engines, the V12 on the Aventador and Zonda don't sound like they should, the 350z, 370z and GTR sound like BMWs... They sound nice, but not the way they should. Some of the sounds are more realistic on TC2. With this, the much smaller map, being constantly annoyed by ghost street racers every 2 minutes while cruising around, less to do and inability for long road trips, I'm staying on The Crew 2 until TDU Solar Crown comes out. Yeah, it will have a smaller mapnas well, butbit will be more varied, more realistic, it's exactly what I'm looking for. For now, my best option remains The Crew 2 because the new one feels more like a Forza Festival game rather than a driving/cruising game like The Crew 2. It's not all about the racing. But I have to admit that the force feedback on the new The Crew is massively improved compared to TC2 where it's kinda weak and usually just feels heavy but weak actual feedback.
Ghost AI is a joke.. car livery’s need a fixing.. like I’m seeing the same stuff at the car show.. not to mention many times I see players sitting in the middle of the road then vanish lol…. I don’t mind so much for the loner cars like okay just use your car after you beat the playlist… so not bothered to much with that…. You’d think at the festival you would be seeing a lot of players drifting together in that one spot.. so much potential so let’s see what happens..
The motorfest runs great on last gen I have the game and have been playing at 1080 60fps easily and plus performance or glitches are not down to the game being on old gen as well and most of tc2 sells was on the later gen consoles also I think people are not giving them enough time to make the game perfect but overall this game is amazing also they are planning to add more islands in the future so don’t be disappointed with the map size

I don't play racing gamed that much in my life, but I tend to enjoy them when I do, and I'm not a car person. Especially since I don't know much about cars at all, but, this game has been an absolute blast for me. I love the game's handling so much more than all other racing games I've played, including nfs payback, heat, unbound, and underground 2. Other racing games too but those ones in particular I really enjoyed the handling of, but the crew motorfest has even better handling and the cars feel more realistic and fun to drive, and actually play in a way that makes sense, especially with the ability to change individual difficulty settings for each vehicle in this game. No other racing game I've played has gone that far with mechanics. As a player of rpgs, fps games, and tps games, I love the crew motorfest so much. And keep in mind, I'm not a car person at all, I just play video games that I like, and the crew motorfest has already become my game of the year because of what I love about it, including the map being set in Hawaii, which has worked well for the game.
I'm still gonna play the crew 2. I think they should take away last gen, and ghost cars. Add peds, instead of ghost cars give more traffic

I’m probably going to buy Motorfest on sale (hi Poor) but man, all of the Crew franchise have been such good investments, considering other racing game got dropped after less than a year. NFS titles have so much less value that they feel almost scammy next to Crew games.
i think they added the hurricane winds to boat/plane races to spice them up since most people find them boring, i actually thought they were fun since you had to look ahead and see if you needed to start turning into the wind

Would have been nice to use my personal cars in the playlist without having to “replay” the playlist. a story around the playlist where we could use our personal car to enter a qualifier to beat the playlist and move to the next would have been a nice way to do both. I havent bought motorfest yet. but i did play with the free trial on my g29. is it bad to say i prefer it over gt7 purely because of the engine sounds and the handling 😅
Forza Horizon 5 and Gran Turismo 7 have actual working mirrors and theyre on last gen, its just IVT being obtuse and thinking that people wont use their mirrors
This game is pretty cool. The only reason I’m not buying it is because it’s not compatible with my wheel. It’s hard for me to not drive in VR but I draw the line at driving with a controller.

Every game has microtransactions. This game isn't pay to win. Just play, get money, and then race. All the hypercars are balanced. You aren't going to go buy a jesko and then start winning.
By the way, in your video you said that the game is being held back by older hardware but it is not. They have made 2 versions of the game. One for PS4 and another for PS5 that being said the PS5 version has much better graphics than the PS4 version and is NOT being held back by older hardware. I can see this becoming a problem on other platforms but for the Play Station versions it is not a problem.

All these comments on every video complaining lol just play the damn game it hasn’t even been out 5 days yet games get updated all the time. My biggest issue is you can’t free roam with friends who have the game by sending an invite to your session. You have to do a grand race just to be in same lobby that’s ridiculous. The grind part isn’t such an issue people complain about pay to win but u don’t have to pay if that’s an issue for you. Also u should be able to use ur personal cars but being the game just released and don’t have many cars yet that’s not an issue anyway
The Game is nowhere near perfect however there are some good aspects. I actually really enjoy the map, even though it is smaller there are some really cool aspects to it. The playlist are alright, however buying a car and not using it in the playlist (not online and second run through) is pretty cheap. However, the car list is pathetic. yeah, what 600 cars is really 350 cars with multiple duplicates of others. Being new to the crew most cars I cant even get as they are locked behind the crew 2. I dont want to have to buy a whole other game to drive a specific version of a lancer. Plus there is no variety to the cars. Most are modern and barely having any JDM cars even though there is a whole playlist surrounding it, WHERE IS THE SILVIA. kinda disappointing for me
forgot to mention no fullscreen on PC is pathetic aswell. I have a 4k monitor for video editing however my PC cant run games like the crew at 4k 60 so its a terrible experience

Mines running fine with RX 7900 XT and Ryzen 9 7950X3D after a quick benchmark before playing it. More likely an optimization issue just like with TC2 having frame pacing as well as stutters

And that's the way the cars drive different and fun in tuning them yourself and learning how to get the most out of them with driving techniques. I also turn off all assist. 62 hours in and still have a TON of challenges and grinding to do. Love it!

Wish there was an option to pick what cars to import. I would only import my exclusives (summit rewards and event exclusive editions).

The EVs are far too loud in the game so that's not realistic at all

FYI new countach does have wide body as long as you have ea play which you get with gamepass n they gift you a few other cars

Forza Horizon 5 and Gran Turismo 7 have actual working mirrors and theyre on last gen, its just IVT being obtuse and thinking that people wont use their mirrors

This game is pretty cool. The only reason I’m not buying it is because it’s not compatible with my wheel. It’s hard for me to not drive in VR but I draw the line at driving with a controller.
Wheels have slways sucked iuntil very recently so in the past you were only torturing yourself by using one.

Easy to say spend the 79 bucks even though you got it for free lol.... I played all previous games and the 5 hr free trial of this game and it just felt empty to me. Great looking game and the Playlist are awesome but the over all game feels empty.... wish they had just put all this work into the map. Made what made the other two games awesome and had the huge US map

I bought the game yesterday, i like it so far. good visuals and sounds and im having fun for sure ..but its pay to win 😂 micro-transaction heavy! And nobody is talking about it. $50 credit packs and bundles to get the better cars without grinding, Ubisoft shit.

Every game has microtransactions. This game isn't pay to win. Just play, get money, and then race. All the hypercars are balanced. You aren't going to go buy a jesko and then start winning.

By the way, in your video you said that the game is being held back by older hardware but it is not. They have made 2 versions of the game. One for PS4 and another for PS5 that being said the PS5 version has much better graphics than the PS4 version and is NOT being held back by older hardware. I can see this becoming a problem on other platforms but for the Play Station versions it is not a problem.
YES, IT DOES. Listen to yourself. They made 2 versions of the game. That's development time and man hours. If they did not make a last gen version, that's 6 months to a year to polish and make more content for next gen only.
I see your point now but what I was saying is that the PS5 version of the game will not be held back at least in terms of graphics. Again as I had said the graphics part will be a problem for other platforms.

All these comments on every video complaining lol just play the damn game it hasn’t even been out 5 days yet games get updated all the time.
My biggest issue is you can’t free roam with friends who have the game by sending an invite to your session. You have to do a grand race just to be in same lobby that’s ridiculous. The grind part isn’t such an issue people complain about pay to win but u don’t have to pay if that’s an issue for you.
Also u should be able to use ur personal cars but being the game just released and don’t have many cars yet that’s not an issue anyway

The Game is nowhere near perfect however there are some good aspects. I actually really enjoy the map, even though it is smaller there are some really cool aspects to it. The playlist are alright, however buying a car and not using it in the playlist (not online and second run through) is pretty cheap. However, the car list is pathetic. yeah, what 600 cars is really 350 cars with multiple duplicates of others. Being new to the crew most cars I cant even get as they are locked behind the crew 2. I dont want to have to buy a whole other game to drive a specific version of a lancer. Plus there is no variety to the cars. Most are modern and barely having any JDM cars even though there is a whole playlist surrounding it, WHERE IS THE SILVIA. kinda disappointing for me
forgot to mention no fullscreen on PC is pathetic aswell. I have a 4k monitor for video editing however my PC cant run games like the crew at 4k 60 so its a terrible experience
Really? I played the beta on my PC and ran full screen. Yea they definitely need more JDM. We are getting the S14 and the 400Z next month though!
@@KingdomTwelve It has windowless fullscreen, but no true fullscreen. I cant scale it down from 4k. Had to buy a program called lossless scaling to scale it from windowed in 1080 to my screen.
Sounds hands down forza beats all games with sounds alone never mind the graphics subaru it's a subs amg it's grunting v12s are screaming it's scary like a wailing banshee v6 any car you drive in forza you feel that car I'm done have fun

Mines running fine with RX 7900 XT and Ryzen 9 7950X3D after a quick benchmark before playing it. More likely an optimization issue just like with TC2 having frame pacing as well as stutters

Got a refund on this terrible generic racing game. Played for a few hours and just never had a reason to use my own cars. Which blows my mind for a racing game. Playlists are fine i guess but nothing special. It’s informative and lol. Just kept asking myself what is the point in grinding this game…to buy cars that really dont serve a purpose. Miss racing games with an actual story and progression. The entire game is littered with micro transactions. Which they purposefully put in along side the summit. Which Most if not all the summit car challenges requirements are locked cars. Nobody has that type of money in game yet but you can spend your way to the top of the summit. Lmao. So im supposed to grind for cars for online racing? Yea ok. Just annoys me how out of all the racing games to copy. Forza horizon 5 was the one?? Really?? Most could argue Forza horizon series hasnt been great since fh2 or imo fh1. Im going to say the same thing i have been saying since fh4. Modern forza horizon games and now the crew motorfest are literally based on fomo and is a car collection simulator.Im really hoping tdu solar crown is the one that really blows this crap out of the water but who knows.

Purpose to you clearly has nothing to do with driving different cars that handle differently because it's fun to learn to drive each one and tune it. Likely get online tunes for a few OP cars and drive nothing else. Yeah "gamers" like that aren't gonna get horizon or this games best aspect. And that's the way the cars drive different and fun in tuning them yourself and learning how to get the most out of them with driving techniques. I also turn off all assist. So joy of tuning and driving each car gives me joy, if that don't mean anything why are you playing racing games?

And tbh, coming from The Crew 2, you could meet up and cruise with friends. Idk why they dropped it. Well every game these days gets released half assed and then in 2-3 years we get the full game through all of the updates, so I guess we wait and see.
It's got a really shitty character creator. "It's a racing game, who cares?" I care. It's 2023 and Ubisoft has been half-assing this for too damn long. Test Drive Unlimited puts The Crew and even most rpg games to shame, and that was more than a decade ago. If you're going to have a character creator, PUT SOME DAMN EFFORT INTO IT.

I played it for 2 months right at launch. EVEN then you could never get full 8 player lobbies. If you are supporting that shitty MP system, then you've got issues.
