Not a stan, but i think slim shady lp is about as good as adlibs get. He doesn't just use random sounds, he allows his imagery in his lyrics to decide them for him.
Haven’t listened to it but I’m sure its great. Adlibs don’t always have to be words though. And they don’t have to be random sounds. Can be either or. They can both be expressions.
IAMLXGEND I meant they were more planned sounds, as in, “She picked me up to snap me like a skinny twig(*snap*) Put me in a headlock, then I thought of my guinea pig (Wait, wait, wait, wait) I felt the evilness and started transformin’ (Rrrahh) It began stormin', I heard a bunch of cheerin' fans swarmin'(yeah go go go go)” point taken tho
This helped a lot! I was trying to decide what style to use for a project my teacher is making me work on! I listened to the different styles and ended up picking Melodic!
love your vids my man. just found you today. this video and the voice version of it, really helped. just started rapping and singing, but i have to do it; i cannot stop the flow from flowing, words phrases keep on coming. it's time.
Hey man, loved the video. And the camera switching was dope, but it was so frequent that it made it kinda hard to watch bc I couldn’t focus for very long on what I was looking at. I’m definitely subbing though, this was great

@@IAMLXGEND I don't know if that makes sense but I have an example to help you understand what i mean. I just started selling beats on beatstars and i got a offer and it was $60 for 50% publishing and i was wondering, what that is and if its a good idea?
Another good example of stacker is on eminem's the way I am Love the vid bro, i used to have a very monotone voice on my raps, but now I know my preferred approach
in the early 2000s t-pain made autotune famous though he is not a rapper but more on the r&b side but he made way to other artists to consider autotune..
Im obsessed with hooks and listen to a lot of signs for certain moments for example the very beginning of “ letter from Houston”or a lot of denzel curry. Any recommendations for this
I’ve heard the entire album and saw him live. Never said he couldn’t sing. Just that he uses moderate autotune to enhance his brand as a melodic rapper. I think people automatically jump to the conclusion that if you mention someone using autotune we automatically think they can’t sing. Untrue. Because even Ariana Grande used autotune. It’s just and extremely light amount for slight pitch corrections. That’s all.
My style is nothing. I try all styles. When im classic I wanna a be like black thought and Freddie Gibbs. Or Kendrick Lamar. When I'm melodic in wanna beat Roddy rich and kid laroi When I mumble I wanna be Young Thug and playboi carti. When I'm Emo I wanna be juice wild or xxxtentacion
I think you should talk about voices of nicki minaj kendrick Lamar cos they can change very well his voice and that’s so amazing for nicki minaj on monster kendrick on u they can play very well with voices and that’s mike them king of rap

Hey bro is there a video that shows like bass drops and a heavy bass sound? Trying to experiment and learn stuff if you can help
Not from me.
IAMLXGEND I’m using GarageBand, I’m a former metal musician but wanna get out of my comfort zone you know, is there any advice or future videos you can make if possible? Would really appreciate the help
I’m not sure what exactly you want to know about bass. Just good heavy bass sounds to use? Or?
IAMLXGEND exactly!
Well I’m an “urban” producer so I don’t really use bass drops. I use more sub bass. My favorite one is Feedback Bass.
I want that flo mili backpack type flow. Or that bigwinnn rock with you 2.0 type flow
If the greatest influences i want to take are Kendrick, 3k, Asap rocky and Drake which route would you recommend ?
The YOU route
Drake and Kendrick being mentioned both in this comment is hilarious now.

Jidenna is the Truth!!!
I always throw an automatically automated pan on my adlibs/back rapping so it’s always going left to right to left etc (pretty slowly)
I did this recently too for the first time. It was pretty slick.
Calling the part of travis's music displayed "rap" feels very generous.
It is indeed rap. It just sounds like robot orgasms.

I feel like if you use extreme auto tune you don’t have the confidence to hit higher or lower notes
