I really enjoyed this. Very informative. To help with audio, try plugging the mic input of your camera into an aux headphone jack using a 1/4 to 3.5mm adapter. I believe it even works for smart phones.
Thank you for your nice comments! In fact I played around with all kinds of mic setups ... spent and wasted considerable amount of money on all kinds of cables, adapters, .... The thing I never liked is that once you connect to the headphone jack the videos turn sort of sterile without the ambient noise of a cockpit. To somehow mix radio, intercom and ambient noise a much more sophisticated setup would be necessary I believe and I want to keep it simple (basically an Iphone 6+, a Ram Mount and an external stereo mic on the Iphone is what I have been using lately)
