Depending on who you ask, Q is considered by a good chunk to be on the lowest end of Mid Tier, because the usual stuff shared with the bottom tiers in this game is low power overall... which is NOT the issue with Q; He can hit harder that most even with a fair few small combos, more so following up on a Super successfully. I feel that wasn't covered a whole lot, how his strong swings actually have a bit of sting to them, as his size being an issue isn't exactly unique to him.
A lot of people forget that the end of the day…it’s just a game. Should be meant for fun and growth. But some play for validation of self which is unhealthy.
@EchoTheLight Well it being "just a game" isn't as valid objectively anymore as it used to be back then. Because back then gaming wasn't as varied and huge as it is now. Just like many people can have passion for something or hold a certain amount of sentiment for something also. If games aren't something you have a huge passion for PERSONALLY then that's okay. But to act like games are excluded from being of a significance to others? Then that's just ignorant. Games shouldn't be the exclusion. Otherwise if it was "just a game" then their wouldn't be tournaments, livestreams of it, channels & videos about it, etc. Yes there are still morons who stroke their ego but that's a case by case situation. You can play and take a game serious while being humble too. It's just a lot harder.
@@Unholy1In this instance, it still works because they are playing with no stakes. Ultimately, it's a video about the pros and cons of Q, not a competition.

@@sonicphoenix7Very true, the few I have seen are absolute beasts though. Bringing it back to the video, basically Q is everybody’s favorite low-tier. I just personally feel like out of all the low tier characters, he’s the one I see the most played.

Easily one of the nicest things about watching JM play is how nice he is when he's playing an opponent, never have to worry about negative energy when watching the channel, keep up the kindness 😤

Like the analysis of playing low tier characters. It really can be a better a way to get good at game since you can't just unga bunga your way to victory.
Q’s taunt is actually a 3 stacks per round effect. Each stack is a 12.5% defense up. So against Q if they get 3 taunts off unharmed you need to fight them with a 37.5% damage down for an entire round
This might be a odd or bad question. However, which street fighter 3 should I get to play with other players? The one on steam I am guessing? I don't know that much, my apologies.
Fightcade 2 is what is used in the video. You can tell from the tags and ranks at the top of the game screen. It’s a bit of a process to set up but it’s what a lot of people use to play old fighting games nowadays
I wonder if you'd ever go a little bit in on Street Fighter EX's Doctrine Dark? I don't know why, but his design has stuck with me well into adulthood, after capturing my imagination as a edgy childer.
Q was my favorite back in the arcade days, but ofcourse when the game first came out, it wasnt as big of a hit, there was no what the kids call "meta" these days, tourtaments were in there infancy and getting info from a magazine rather than the internet was the norm. I had no idea what his taunt did back then, if only i did, i wouldve wrecked my friends.
If it turns out to be accurate that G is Q in a retained state, and it's known for a fact that SF6 is some years after events of Third Strike and V, it could be quite the opposite actually.
I wish I could keep the mental fortitude this guy has to stick by Q. I stuck by Q since the moment I touched this game, usually didn't taunt, but I'd sneak them in if someone was too strong for my normal defense. But it became too much at times. Trying to improve, get better at throw breaks, going for a bit more mix, poking with his quicker moves, upping my block game, etc. it seemed like no matter what I did, how I varied my play, none of it matter. I couldn't rank up any more and more than that, I couldn't stand a chance against any of my friends (they're insanely good, having fought JWong and the like and play better characters like Chun and Dudley by default) but still that shit is just disheartening when you play a friendly set amassing like 50 to 60 games and not even getting 3 wins, and even when I do win it feels like they just took it extra easy or I got lucky that they auto-piloted at some random interval. As of right now I'm "retired", not sure if I want to return or just let that part of my fighting game experience die out. Playing a different character besides Q could be in the cards, but I just love him so much and no one else appeals to me as much as he does other than Twelve and that is NOT a good idea. The plateau is just... too frustrating.
I get that feeling of being disheartened after so many losses man, but don’t take it as your opponent taking it easy on you when you win. Instead, think of it as you really fighting to earn those W’s. Might not happen often, but it’ll feel so much sweeter when it does.
It's hard to see it that way when they can shutdown or parry anything I attempt to do for 30 games straight then all of a sudden I get a few good hits in and pull away with a single win. I don't now how good it is for my mental at the time, but maybe I'll hop back on to see what I can do. But not too soon , and especially not against them right now. They're PHENOMENAL friends, but fighting them just reminds me how unfair 3rd Strike can be at times.
@@sonicandshadowsjunction yeah...I played 3rd strike for years and I only main Ken. I feel that I reach a plateau and I cannot improve any further...I feel after losing to any pro on fightcade after 10 losses , I feel so shitty and just quit and took a break.

No, Makoto already wins neutral against Q so often the defense doesn't affect her much. That matchup is considered one of the most lopsided in the game, favouring Makoto. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt either.
