Same could be said about alpha. Karin, Sakura and Cody alone generates so much popularity with two of them essentially being guarantees. Even Maki (Final Fight character introduced in a ported version of SFA) is heavily requested.
There’s a reason why the base roster selection is SF2+Juri along with a practically SFV dlc bar Akuma. Only two series titles missing.

Urien’s SFV design is so good. The clean cut suit belying his domineering competitive behavior, along with the option to burn the suit off when things get real? Yes please. God, he’s such a baddie.

Don't play Urien that well but respect those that mastered him. He was a guy I used in SFV and basically helped me know my pokes and how to charge (the next one was Necalli). Ever since then, my gameplay has been crazier. And it's all thanks to funky aegis man

I was never good at SF III, I played it at the arcades but was never good enough or had enough tokens to get good at it. Still loved the game though. But one time I saw a guy playing with Urien doing the stuff you see on the video and it was a magical sight to behold. Were you allowed to do that? How? What? Why?

Some legendary 3rd Strike Uriens are RX, rkf, Messatsu, Anago, and RB. RX is basically the Urien godfather. The best Urien is RB most of the 3rd strike clips used were RB. rkf is a lab monster you can find his channel on RUclips he has some absolutely insane stuff on there. Messatsu is the personification of Urien rushdown.

Got into FG's around the time Urien came out in SFV. The moment I saw Aegis Reflector I said, "That's my shit!" and was a Urien main from that day forward. Even have a picture of his 5HP "chop" as the HP button on my stick. If they bring our boy back for SF6 I will probably cry tears of joy.

I really enjoyed this video, and while I can't talk about him at the level you talked about him, I'm feeling like he's popular enough to make it to 6, but not in Season 2. From SF3 series the character I'd like to come to 6 in Season 2 would be someone that had been missing from SF4 and SF5 so someone like Remy or Necro. I firmly believe that we need to bring some of the other up because we know someone like Urien will sell 100%. Thanks for the vid.

It’s the literally personification of “No U” and it sounds cool whenever Urien says it 😎
13:52 is absolutely sick as fuck. In any fighting game, theres 2 tier lists, the "character is objectively good" tierlist and the "sick" list, a rating of just how hype and/or cool a character is when played well. Urien in SF5 is absolutely at the peak of the "sick" list in the SSS Tier
