People who don't like Benny Hill are not the sort of people you need in your life. Benny can always brighten your day with his harmless, laugh out loud funny humour.
My Aunt was a warden at a sheltered living facility where Benny Hills mum was a resident. She said he was a lively man. Visited often, and always put a Xmas show on every year for the residents.
Great reaction again EB. As you say just simple, classic comedy. The irony of this is this and many other older comedies are being repeated again here in the UK.
I absolutely love watching your reactions to our British comedy, I grew up watching the two ronnies/ black adder/ allo allo / only fools and horses and some mothers do av' em, you can't beat the classics for comedy, thank you for sharing your laughter" and much love to you from across the pond 🤗💛
Hard to Beat Benny Hill!! MANY MANY great Benny vids you haven't hit on! One of the best "quickies" is the "old wishing well"!! Very quick, but SOOOO funny!! EDIT: You are right though in what you say, anything Benny done would be considered as so Disgusting this day and age! Sad world we live in now, eh?
Couldn't agree more Colin. I did see a documentary some years ago where the UK executives went to the States trying to sell the show to the American TV networks. They showed that one clip initially and the US producers practically fell off their chairs laughing - they bought it on the spot. 'Ye Olde Wishing Well' (with the late Dave Prowse) remains my favourite Benny clip of all time - a masterpiece...
@@johnnyonenote376 Yeah, defo one of the best clips of all time, considered sexist or homophobic or something ridiculous this day and age though! Not allowed to have a laugh anymore or you could be up in court!😂
I'm 47 and used to watch Benny Hill as a kid. My mom hated him and called him a dirty old man. Had to sneak to watch him. Show was on at like 11pm or 11:30 in mid 1980's
My all-time favourite sketch, Benny in a French restaurant: Benny: Garçon! There's a fly in my soup! Waiter: Pardon, monsieur? Benny: A fly! Er . . . Un mouche dans ma soupe! Waiter: Ah, non, non, non, monsieur -- c'est LA mouche; it is feminine. Benny [Peers closely into the soup bowl]: Is it . . . ? I say, you've got damn'd good eyesight!
Benny didn't make it in our house, basically because of the naughty stuff - my mother would make noise comments like "Huh!" and "Hmmph!" and the disapproval got too wearisome. When I went to art school I had to hide up all the life drawings and fortunately she was only about five foot tall. The only one she caught sight of got the predictable response. "So, that's what they're teaching you to draw!" Amazingly totally different from my grandmother who took a pair of opera glasses to the Moulin Rouge in the late forties.
I was watching a Christopher Reeve Superman movie in the cinema when I was younger -- we were living in Ohio at the time -- and my mother and I were delighted to see Bob Todd's cameo as a Metropolis citizen. Nobody else understood why we were so excited to see an old bald guy on the screen.
1:34 "Excuse me, you pregnant again ?" is one of my all time favourites of Hill's (except I always thought her paw said 'Molly' - listening again, it's definitely 'excuse me')
Hey man been watching your videos for a while. Love laughing along with you, I'm 33 and have a real love for old British comedy. May I ask, have you ever watched Steptoe and Son? About a father and son rag n' bone business. Well worth a watch. One episode had Leonard rossiter in, so damn funny.
As a young woman I loathed Benny Hill because he WAS creepy the way he filled his show with barely clad women he leered over - it made my flesh creepy.
@@O.O.O.K999 Well, yeah, unfortunately, that's what life was like back then (or worse). Thing is, when you see interviews with the women he worked with on the show, they always say how well he treated them and their families, and several of them were friends with him right up until his death.
I wonder why Benny Hill clips featuring 'Hills Angels' are all over RUclips but shows that replaced them with 'Hill's Little Angels' are very hard to find. Can anyone explain why, if it was Hill's genius as a comedian that is important, shows not full of underwear-flashing young women are not held in such high regard? Cue outrage from the dirty-mac brigade.........,
I was a teenager and then a young woman when Benny Hill was on tv and I LOATHED him. He was a creepy, lecherous and totally objectified women. The clips shown here were pretty innocent but his shows were littered with barely clothed women that he leered after, often with his tongue out.

Benny Hill was fantastic, very, very funny! Naughty British seaside postcard humour as we would say.
Apart from the paedophilia and rape jokes, yeah good clean fun.
Let's face it most things were better back in the day.
My Aunt was a warden at a sheltered living facility where Benny Hills mum was a resident. She said he was a lively man. Visited often, and always put a Xmas show on every year for the residents.
Grew up watching Benny Hill, he was hilarious. Loved his series.

Benny Hill had a subtle little mustache when he gassed the guests at the restaurant table.
Even Charly Chaplin acknowledged Benny. He had a room full of his tape's
i love this type of comedy lol
Like you, that "the pianest" had me in stitches!

Best Easter egg in the Wishing Well sketch is you get to see Darth Vader outside his armour.
Benny Hill, comic genius!!!

Old comedy is easy and direct. And you had to laugh it loud.
Good old Benny Hill , Had me in Histerics when I was younger ! 😂😊
We miss Benny so much.

Glad Antenna TV is rerunning the Benny Hill Show.
Back when comedy didn't take itself too seriously.
Well said that man
Absolutely hilarious 😂
Brilliant!
These always get me, as does you cracking up, thanks EB
Talking of Bishop’s Walk there’s a pub in Canterbury called The Bishop’s Finger!
In Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) Benny Hill was the toy maker...

Henry McGee , one of the best support cast

BH was one of the best comedians of all time.
He was cheeky, smutty but not vulgar. Alas definitely not PC.
Far, Far funnier than anything on TV these days
Love BH. Old school is the best school. 😂❤🇮🇹
Naughty ,seaside postcard naughtiness 😅😅😅❤❤❤
Old school funnies! 😂

Benny was brilliant. You should watch some Steptoe & son another great British comedy. xx
Uk slapstick from 1970 _1980😅
Good clean and silly fun, back in the days when comedy wasn't frowned upon.

I've reacted to one episode of it in my channel member discord. Other than that I haven't gotten too far into it yet.
Benny hill quality 😂😂
Ladies in the UK wear knickers. Not Panties!
I have to say...this is a bit before my time, these guys😅 but is good you seem to like it.
"Shorts" from decades before anyone had heard of TikTok.
Hi
I gather he used to walk around outside all the time carrying shopping bags
claimed somewhere down the line bags held a lot of his notes/cash
I recommend this one for a reaction A Life Of Grime Original BBC Grimefighters Mr Trebus 👍👍
modern comedy , perhaps Lee Mack not going out has the cheesy dad jokes in it
I like oldskool.
For the algorithm 👊
😂😂❤
The British are the true masters of comedy. The USA comedy is crass with hardly any subtlety.
It's not crude comedy like today it's thought out comedy with a bit of slap an tickle
In a world where they tell young girls they can be online prostitutes as a 'career', Benny Hill is regarded as 'creepy'.

Tbf america doesn’t really do good/funny comedy x
I wish you stop halting the video again and again
What happens to bottom live no part 3??
Benny Hill as as funny as terminal cancer
Get well soon.
Maybe to you. But for those of us with a sense of humour (i.e. the vast majority) he was/is a comic genius.
Which terminal? Departing or arriving?
That is poor taste
