Great idea with the file clamped to the radius block. Been at it 45 yrs and have never seen nor thought of doing that! Not sure I'll change my ways but I am going to at least give it a try next time!
Many thanks for watching !
I will use the same truss on a neck fabrication project I am doing. I like simple and the ability to tweak the neck both ways. This project I may fail at and may have to slide off into the wastebasket but I will give it a go.
You are an artist!!!. Thanks for sharing
You have some great ideas/methods!

"Super glue, simple jig" guitar :)
Superb craftsmanship using inexpensive equipment & tools.
Thank you!
Great video. Do you make the same truss rod acces whole when you make a Maple fingerboard?
I think that's called a slab neck because of the thickness of the fret board, and I like it.
Yes. Thanks for watching!
I love this build you are doing my friend. My next build coming up I am going to do the same body finish....and few other ideas you gave me.
Glad that’s a useful video!
Thanks
@@BaradaGuitars Getting Birchwood Casey filler and sealer and the true oil was not easy in Canada but it is on order. Two different stores I had to go to. Later ✌️🎸😎
@@BaradaGuitars I tried applying the filler and sealer with a brush. Did one coat that way and realized your way of applying the the filler and sealer and true oil is the best way. ✌️🎸
@@johnstitt2615 thank you!
Yes
That is a good neck..You used a figured maple on neck. So does that mean it is a soft maple and that works ok for neck. I was told only use hard maple quarter sawn on neck. But i have some figured soft maple that is not quarter sawn that i would like to use on neck.Should I try to use it?
Hi, may I know what are the cutter that you use to cut your frets?
Yo at least you are doing it... BUT... I watch your videos to see mostly how not to do things... Or rather to get my mind to tell me better ways to improve upon your methods, so for that I thank you and keep going dude!! Much Love
I didn't think you woukd use a drill bit instead of an automatic center punch after using a micrometer for the tuner spacing.. anyway. Looks good. Hows she play ?
Молодец!!!!Отличный мастер!!!
Thank you!
@@BaradaGuitars Очень жаль что мне никогда не посчастливиться поиграть на ваших гитарах!!!!!Они просто великолепные!!!!!
@@user-od4oh6wh1i I hope one day you do it!
thanks a lot!
Necesito un mastil o cuello para mi stratocaster arce o maple de 22 freets o 22 trastes como decimos en argentina me podes decir cuanto me cuesta un mastil o cuello para stratocaster...?
Super awesome! After you polish tru oil with wet sandpaper, you use something like wax. What's that? Which brand does it come from? thank you!
This was from the same company but I didn’t use it in this case
Mr. Fletcher you are everywhere
I'm really enjoying your videos and very much looking forward to seeing the finished strat! Are you building this as a commission?
Thanks a lot for watching!
Dude you are awesome i wish i could make a neck and body
you absolutely can, and should give it a go! My only recommendation is use inexpensive woods to practice your first builds.Flamed maple and ebony are expensive and should only be used after you've gained some confidence. It's heartbreaking to screw up an heirloom quality piece of wood.I speak from experience lol. Now go make some sawdust:)
where did you buy your decal?
Подскажите пожалуйста, чем Вы натираете гриф?
me voy a permitir ponerte un apodo.... GENIOL....
My honour!
❤️❤️👏🏼😻
Thanks!
süperrrrrrrrrr
excellent work. What kind of oil did you use to bring out the wood grain like that? Especially for the guitar body...
tru oil
@@clartypaths840 only tru oil or do you use a base of another type of oil first? Can you please send me a link to know what kind of tru oil you used? thanks.
@@rosko613166 Tru Oil is a product name, it's made for gun stock handles but works great on guitars too. www.amazon.com/Birchwood-Casey-Tru-Oil-Stock-Finish/dp/B001I14QUU No other products required, just Tru Oil. 2-4 coats will give a nice matte finish. If you prefer glossy, keep adding thin coats (10-20 depending how thin you apply it). You can also use similar products, such as Crimson Guitar's Penetrating Oil www.crimsonguitars.com/products/penetrating-guitar-finishing-oil though I found the Crimson oil to be much stronger smelling and less pleasant to use.
Many thanks!
I'm using truoil as I said in the video
@@theweekendluthier thank you very much for this information.
How long is this neck?
Power tools 💰💰💰
Only thing i didn't like was the filling of the gaps between the fretwire an the fingerboard just seems like you went alittle too deep when cutting for the fretwire. Caused alittle more work for yourself than needed otherwise very well done.
i didnt know sebastian vettel made guitars
Why do I sound like him ?
@@BaradaGuitars oh, yes. Voices are very similar
