  • This year's build got a little out of hand for the Great Guitar Build Off
    I wish I could say this was fun... but I did learn a lot from this build

    Not only a great build but I can't even begin to imagine the thought process of not only building it but creating the idea in your mind. Excellent work.
    As you say .. it's a bit delicate but the competition is not about building the most robust guitar.
    Beautiful work and great video/camera work.

      I struggled very much deciding what this build wanted to be. After the neck build I took a complete 180 and gambled on a new idea. Even after countless hours on the previous idea. Thank you for watching my friend very much appreciate the comment

      I am thinking of 3D printing a guitar body in PETG Carbon Fibre, this has given me some inspiration!

      That’s exactly what I saw. I think normal people don’t realize the time ratio of tool use:tool maintenance. I don’t love sharpening like some people, but a good sharp chisel is so rewarding to use and necessary for this kind of detail work.

    Very interesting and artistic guitar... I might have put a deep blue of the lighter parts though. Sounds fantastic too. Very well done.

    great result
    I really liked both variants. The "simply slotted" body of the first half of the video already looked great. I wasn't expecting the change starting at 08:04, but it turned out great.

      After I completed the build on the first variant I took a long look and it just didn’t satisfy something in my gut. Made twice the work for myself but I ended up happy in the end

    This build turned out amazing, I don't even want to think of how much work all these individual parts were. I was complaining about the cutouts on mine, but you have like 20 times as many :D

      Thank you very much! I can tell you it’s not uncomfortable at all on the lap. I will say that one should be careful resting it on your body Bc of the rear panel is a little delicate

    This guitar reminds me a little of of those dinosaur bone models you see in museums. Very cool, would love to hear some clean tones from it.

    with the black paint, it almost looks like a burned top, but damm how ever did you get through the build without breaking those ribs from the cutting, ive would probably brake a few while making it xD

This Guitar HAS so much Love put in this Design how Can Anyone Not far in love and the Sound is sweet with a taste of Metallic Sound. Well Done.     I love that he went to great pains to include the pickguard aesthetic, so many custom builders try to eliminate pickguards even to the point of those horrible single pickup surrounds that always cheapen the look of a "strat"

      Guitar was in standard tuning. Hardcore is music background. This is what I like to play

      “Sound” is what you do with it.
      Tim Henson sounds better on a Chinese squier than you do with half a million dollars in gear, and your mom will still blow Tim after.
