Not only a great build but I can't even begin to imagine the thought process of not only building it but creating the idea in your mind. Excellent work. As you say .. it's a bit delicate but the competition is not about building the most robust guitar. Beautiful work and great video/camera work.
I struggled very much deciding what this build wanted to be. After the neck build I took a complete 180 and gambled on a new idea. Even after countless hours on the previous idea. Thank you for watching my friend very much appreciate the comment
That’s exactly what I saw. I think normal people don’t realize the time ratio of tool use:tool maintenance. I don’t love sharpening like some people, but a good sharp chisel is so rewarding to use and necessary for this kind of detail work.
great result I really liked both variants. The "simply slotted" body of the first half of the video already looked great. I wasn't expecting the change starting at 08:04, but it turned out great.
After I completed the build on the first variant I took a long look and it just didn’t satisfy something in my gut. Made twice the work for myself but I ended up happy in the end
This build turned out amazing, I don't even want to think of how much work all these individual parts were. I was complaining about the cutouts on mine, but you have like 20 times as many :D
Thank you very much! I can tell you it’s not uncomfortable at all on the lap. I will say that one should be careful resting it on your body Bc of the rear panel is a little delicate
Sir. If THIS GUITAR 🎸 Does not Win one Or Two Awards those Judges have a TASTE For 💩sh1t. This Guitar HAS so much Love put in this Design how Can Anyone Not far in love and the Sound is sweet with a taste of Metallic Sound. Well Done. Sorry but back to Work on Marking a Bass Guitar with this Design. Peace Be with You Man.
Incredible work. Well done! Please get a push stick/handle for that table saw. I'm positive you're competent, but one mistake and your building days are screwed.
@@miamiguitarscustom thank you for sharing that awesome build. I popped over here from r/luthier, where I saw your post. Glad to be your newest subscriber.
I saw the video of the guitar you built. I just love the way it looks. How much would you charge to build one for a lefthanded guitarist? As I said it's different like me.
Hey thanks! No classes just yet haha we started around 2019 and operate from a communal workshop finding time to do so outside of our regular jobs Thanks for watching friend
with the black paint, it almost looks like a burned top, but damm how ever did you get through the build without breaking those ribs from the cutting, ive would probably brake a few while making it xD
More Complicated???? I'm surprised you didn't when by this video. Or maybe disqualified for over building...Too hard to judge. Beautiful workmanship...
Probably the most beautiful Strat build I've seen in all my years...... Then to ruin it with that shit song on the end, was so looking forward to hearing its tone...
gets my vote - can't understand how you can pay for the wood, and parts, and make it, AND post it to me in the UK for under $200 🤣🤣🤣 - yeah - freakin awesome.
“Sound” is what you do with it. Tim Henson sounds better on a Chinese squier than you do with half a million dollars in gear, and your mom will still blow Tim after.
Finish was a little challenging especially getting into the tight spots. I disagree about it being uncomfortable tho, this piece doesn’t have any strap buttons since I would only advise playing this one sitting down. The rear cavity panel is somewhat delicate so it’s best to handle it not to aggressively. Other than that it’s perfectly comfortable👍🏻
@@miamiguitarscustom I wasn't just referring to the actual finish you used on the guitar... I mean when you zoom in and view a close up.. the wood looks practically unsanded.
Seems to me you spent far too much time thinking about if you *could* do it, and not enough thinking about whether you *should* . Total waste of materials.
come to brazil 🇧🇷
Glad to see not everyone relies on epoxy or resin to make a totally cool build
@@machinebeard1639what if they use Craftsman tools?
Could definitely use some epoxy

hands down the most meticulous hand build I've ever seen. Stunning work.
Hey thanks for the nice word friend 🙏🏻
Now we know what to do with leftover popsicles sticks!
Beautiful build, totally unconventional that’s gotta win for sure.
Hey thanks for commenting. Collecting popsicle sticks as we speak
I once saw a guitar body made from coloured pencils, it was trippy!
Truly unconventional and imaginative! Painstaking build, especially in such a noisy environment...
Well done!!!!
Thank you it wasn’t easy when pieces start breaking on you!
looked more elegant around the 3:24 mark Loved the neck.
I also thought so, I love that heatsink look!
I am thinking of 3D printing a guitar body in PETG Carbon Fibre, this has given me some inspiration!
Same as other comments, to imagine that is quite something, to build it something else!! Amazing job, good luck in the ggbo
Thank you Philip I’m pretty proud of how it came out, it’s not perfect but I’m very very happy with it
Cool idea, looks like tons of work to make it!
You don’t know the half of it! Thanks for watching !
@@miamiguitarscustom Ive got a bit of an idea lol. Congrats awesome guitar.
This is amazing, i appreciate the amount of work that went into this.
I can only imagine the hours of chisel sharpening that went into making this amazing work of art!

I’m glad you do think it sounds nice
Thanks for sharing this. It was helpful to see your process.
I’m glad to share the process. It’s nice to rewind and see the process from the start again
Awesome!
Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Very interesting and artistic guitar... I might have put a deep blue of the lighter parts though. Sounds fantastic too. Very well done.
Thank you kindly, not a bad suggestion thank you
Very cool guitar 🎸
Thank you I tried 🙏🏻
What a bold project 🔥👏👏👏👏💯💯💯
I’m glad you think it’s bold !
I don't know what's better.. the guitar or the demo at the end! I love it ❤
I’m biased for both !
That was a huge load of work, but it was worth it in the end. Incredible! You have my vote dude and best of luck!

that is just bonkers. i'm not saying i like the result, but damn, what a determination.
halfway through it looked cool tho.
Thanks for thinking it’s bonkers !
I redact my last statement. That was harsh and I apologize. That's a lot of hard work and it looked great. I hope you win.
Hey thanks so much my friend. All is well
Your builds are so creative!
Great work!!
Glad you think so. I hope to keep making them nice
Very unique guitar but it is mostly just a wall hanger too beautiful to play at gigs but a wonderful piece of art
Sometimes you make the art. Sometimes you play the art
I would so play this 🔥
Every part of this is unnecessarily complicated. I love it!
That was the frustrating part. When I found ways to make it complicated
Very unique build, nice craftsmanship

This guitar reminds me a little of of those dinosaur bone models you see in museums. Very cool, would love to hear some clean tones from it.
I think I had a human skeleton one like that haha
Brilliant!!!!
Hey thanks for the comment !!
Ben will be proud of this. !!!
Carried away 😂😂 Looks like a build that could have been ejected from the nearest window on multiple occasions. Never seen a guitar quite like it 😮
Nearly tossed this one out the window many times ahahah
Nice riffage at the end btw!

that fretboard is beautiful.
Simple yet nice right?

Beautiful build. Work of art. The headstock extreme angle doesn't bode well long term though.
Hey thanks for the comment! What angle are you referring to ?
@@miamiguitarscustom 11:07 the angle from the nut down to the string tree looks severe. Maybe it is just the camera angle.
That is amazing 👏
Thanks so much for checking it out 🙏🏻
That’s insanely cool

That tone tho 🔥
I keep that thing on me 🔥
More complicated is an understatement.

I would end up accidentally breaking off a bunch of those body fins. I already know it
He does a more expensive version with some body fins already snapped 😊
You don’t know how many I’ve broke throughout this build
@@miamiguitarscustom lol I can imagine. If you're anything like me and don't baby your guitars. Mine have chips and dents and dings in the paint lol
with the black paint, it almost looks like a burned top, but damm how ever did you get through the build without breaking those ribs from the cutting, ive would probably brake a few while making it xD
You better believe I broke a bunch
I'd only be concerned about bumping into something and chipping off the edge! It's cool though!
Did plenty of that leading up to its final assembly.
Wow, talk about a labor of love... Awesome build. Must be a bitch to wipe down if it gets dirty! Good luck with the contest.
It was a bitch to build I’ll tell you that much
Nice shape guitar, will that last 30 years of playing¡?
Maybe yes maybe no !

Great work!

Interesting too look at, but I cant imagine it is comfortable to hold.....
Ehh it’s okay
Do you use wood glue for the frets?
Typically yes

Dusto'Caster?
ah an externally chambered guitar
Needs more chambers. Working hard right now
one word dust collector
Gotta do it the old fashion way with a bench brush
Amazing but standard tone and volume knobs were a let down.
True wish I would’ve had a little extra time to fashion a nice set. Not too late to get on that tho
Please tell me you named it the “Slat-O-Caster”
I’ll name it whatever chibson deems it
More Complicated????

Yes, that's seriously undervaluing the piece. The labor and brand cost alone should be several times that.
Omg, what you are trying to say: custom guitar + shipping US>UK was in total less that $200 ?
Thanks so much for the nice words 🙏🏻 I’m sure we can work out a deal hahaha

Mmmmm. I am not sure what to think. Obviously amazing woodworking skill. Really amazing. The look however is not for me. Wow nonetheless.
Hey thanks for the kind words anyways !
@@miamiguitarscustomAnytime friend. Your skills are absolutely top notch.
Tune the guitar down 4 whole steps, gain on 11, play only the E & A strings & only use the bridge pickup. Ummmm.....o.k.
So what, if that's what he had in mind when he built the guitar?
Guitar was in standard tuning. Hardcore is music background. This is what I like to play
Очень сложный инструмент и прекрасная,кропотливая работа

Hey thanks so much for watching and for the nice words! 🇷🇺
It would’ve been nice to just see the whole damn guitar instead of cutting in different angles of someone playing it.
Fair enough! Wider shots next time. Didn’t have a proper booth to take quality pics so I had to cheat and get only close ups
