- We're in Costa Maya on day 3 of our cruise on Royal Caribbean's Jewel of the Seas. We were booked for a snorkeling and beach excursion, but the snorkeling aspect was cancelled. Nevertheless, we had a wonderful time. After our day in port, we had dinner at Izumi (AGAIN!) and headed to bed early for a movie night. We thought that we'd be staying onboard in Roatan, but wait until you see what we ended up doing instead! See you soon! - - -

In Costa Maya there is a large area near the flamingos of all kinds of exotic birds. They have fruit and seeds out so you can feed them and its free!

This video is very informative. It's so hard to make a decision about resorts in Honduras. I've been to French Key and while the area is beautiful, the lounge chairs are broken and sagging. By the way Jalapeno is pronounced Hala-peno, no J sound.
