    Great shots- really leaning towards an M240. Thanks for sharing!

    I use a pair of 240s and just love the images and the operation of them.

    Next time, skip the music. The video is interesting by itself. Or at least turn it down a lot!;)

      Thanks for the recommendation. I've been a musician for years and I got excited about my music choices for this video. However, I've tried to correct this on my newer videos. Thanks for watching.

    Nice video. Agree on the music being distracting. For the m246, if you do want one it’s the most unique sensor I’ve ever used. The files are just different. Keep your eye out and can get one for sub 2500. Keep it up!

      Thanks for the recommendation. I wasn't aware that the censor was much different the M240. What have you noticed that makes it stand out more?

      @@Stephen-krohn the best way I can describe it is there SEEMS to be a much richer/more abundant scale of grey. For example it feels like if you move a highlight or shadow slider 10% on the M246…it is similar to moving the same slider 20-30% on the 240. I’ve not tested this…but it’s my perception. I have a 240 so maybe I’ll do that to prove it to myself or maybe it’s just placebo…

    The M240 camera is very nice. I prefer the rendering to that of the M10.

    Great video. I like your enthusiasm. The M240 is a wonderful camera that shoots beautiful photos. Please post more M240 themed videos and photos. Like others have mentioned, in future tone down or get rid of the music which at times completely drowned out what you were saying. Please make more videos about using the M240.

      Thanks for the kind words and recommendation. I'm new to producing videos and did this one using AirPods. Didn't realize it was too loud until after I uploaded. I've since taken the car approach: export the video and listen while in the car, if you can understand everything then it's usually a good volume. Thanks for watching.

    M240 is a great value for it's price, only drawback is the relatively short buffer, so you need a second camera to continue shooting while it records your frames

    • @Stephen-krohn
      @Stephen-krohn  Год назад

      Yeah, I've come into that issue a few times. However, I kind of like it. It reminds me of shooting film and allowing me to only go as fast as my thumb can wind the role. Definitely a restraint for certain photography styles like sports and fast paced shooting. What other camera do you like to pair with the M240?

    The M240 and the MP240 are the best digital M cameras. I own both and use them as a press photographer. I've Leica lenses. Keep on rolling!

      I love my M240. Have you found the MP240 to be much different? What inspired you to get both? Thanks for watching.

    How bad is the buffer issue?

  • @vampolascott36
    @vampolascott36 Год назад +1

    Congrats on the cool camera. I just got into a used M10 a couple months ago. I love the look and feel of the camera, and I enjoy the rangefinder focus process. I got a matching chrome Voigtlander 28 2.0 Ultron and 50 1.2 Nokton to go with it. The M10 is getting outdated too and I need to take the camera's sensor limitations into consideration when I'm shooting. My Sony a7III has better IQ, but it's not as portable or as cool as the Leica.

    • @Stephen-krohn
      @Stephen-krohn  Год назад +1

      Congrats on the M10. There's something about using a camera that inspires you, and the Leica M's inspire me to go take photos. How do you enjoy the 50 1.2 Nokton? I've been considering purchasing that lens.

    • @vampolascott36
      @vampolascott36 Год назад

      @@Stephen-krohn The Nokton 50 1.2 is sharp, but has a lot of glow wide open, which is a nice effect if you’re going for that. Glow disappears by f/1.8. Bokeh is more vintage in character compared to my Sony 50 1.2 GM. You can get nice circular bokeh swirls with it. Sun stars are easy to capture. I think the Nokton is a great portrait lens with plenty of character. It’s also large, so I just bought a used Zeiss Planar 50 2.0 so I could have a smaller size 50 to keep on my camera. I’m not selling my Nokton though.
