@@Tudor_Mateescu I have an M240 + Voigtlander 35 f2 Ultron 2. After checking out the 50mm Summilux ASPH version 4, 0.75m closest distance, I got hooked! Try it Tudor!
For daylight shooters, it will forever be a beast of a camera. I don't think prices will go any lower. I watched for a year and prices actually crept up not down. All the old digital M bodies are going up, little by little. Glad i snatched one up, finally. All digital cameras are good, but the M240 is what suits me.
Tudor, I see the magic too. Before I knew your channel I was amazed what people could pull off with even their Q's. I sensed something different from other cams, realism. Your images were great once more. But one thing you didn't adress: what if the electronics break down, for example the sensor stops working? Leica repairs are very expensive and it can take a year before you get your repaired camera back. Total loss? 2400EUR down the drain? THAT"s my fear.
I had issues with my original M240, but not with the M-P. Using a Samsung Evo card and having my lens usually set on auto. Perhaps something like this only start occuring over time, or with some cameras. I actually thought it had something to do with the buffer. Anyway, good to hear you enjoy it. If there's one lens I'm confident you like on this camera, it's the Zeiss Sonnar 50mm f/1.5.
I love the extravagant lengths you go to Tudor to justify your gear acquisition syndrome you must be married enjoy your Leica Tudor that summarit renders beautifully 😊
@@MarcocramVnz X-PRO3 screen will break in time... so you must take this in consideration... I think m240 is much better, but x-pro3 is more for every day use...
@@Tudor_Mateescu There are no other cameras on the market with a direct viewfinder, only Leica and Fuji. I have a Q2, the image quality is incredible, but the electronic viewfinder tires my eyes, they hurt after a few hours.I like the Leica M and being able to share my lenses between digital and analog. But the M240 is old and it feels like it. lol
Depends on the condition. I almost bought one in almost bad condition for $3000. I waited for a month trying to get the money together and it was sold…saw images of it on Reddit the next day…someone had taken sandpaper to it to bring out the brass. Anything in good/excellent condition is $3500. I just saw a safari addition and plenty of silver ones for $3200. So now I’m considering the older m240 which has the slower buffer of course…but maybe I don’t need to shoot more than 3 shots rapid fire anyways? Also I’m trying to sell my Sony kit to fund it all…complicated 😅
Basic contradiction between on the one hand saying you can get previous used models cheaper, but on the other hand also saying that you will not lose money in the future when selling because prices will stay the same or increase. You can't have it both ways.
If you buy one from an authorised dealer you can minimise the risk bc you will also get 12 month warranty plus 12 month extended warranty if you register on Leica website. This is how I bought mine.

🤣
try Zeiss lenses, they are not very expensive, but the glass is crazy for Leica M
Yes!
Just out of curiosity, how do you feel about going from Xpro to M240? I'm thinking about going from m240 to xpro3. I don't know.

Wish I could find a reasonably priced mp240 it seems that all this hype is upping the price of them considerably: (
What is the lowest price you've seen?

No it's not... Check the price evolution over the years, and you'll get it 😜
@@Tudor_Mateescu It is and I have. What I said is straight out of Logic 101. But, hey, it's your channel. Good luck.

Great camera! I would never buy it though because of all the hidden possible issues 🤣

Tu cual elegirías??
But man, these tiny lenses and playing with superb DOF, I can't wait. But also I'm too afraid to gamble with 2400EUR for M240 body only.
Still less likely to have any issues than a Sony!
