I've been shooting with Leica M rangefinder cameras for 40 years. I only have film cameras, but it's hard to justify film these days, so they are on a shelf these days.
When you get over the newness of your camera, you can start to learn the operation of that focus tab and develop muscle memory for the angle and the distance. Soon you will find the tab is very close to the right place for the subject from your ability to see the subject and your finger will start to move the tab to the correct axis for that distance before you raise the camera to your eye. Shoot outdoors with just a bit of aperture and the zone will cover you for very quick grab shots.

Great review. I'm looking to sell my Fuji setup for an M240 as well! Did you have any trouble with high speed SD cards? I know the M8 & M9 required slower/older cards.
Yes i had some problems with SD cards. The best for Leica are SanDisk extreme SDXC - no problems. I use 64GB.
End of an era. B.L.E and now in L.E. Congrats on the new purchase. I don’t know if I will ever get a Leica but eventually all the RUclipsrs that got me into Fujifilm switch to Leica.
I would love to hear how you chose which cameras to sell to get the Leica. I still have the Fujifilm x-e4 that lead me to your channel.

I used to sell x100f for leica... of course, ff is better than than crop and leicas are just mechanical masterpiece. Difficult to compare. Good light!
Hey Tudor, I'm happy you finally got one Leica M camera. Fuji cameras are great but so boring because, everyone can take good photos with it, but not the same story with Leica M (taken after analog cameras) especially the process of taking photos is wonderful.

Nobody can justify the price of Leica cameras. It is a brand for people who has a lot of money and the needing of demostrate something.
It's a next level tool that has no alternative - using it now I do understand it. And this is what I hoped to be and it seems it is.
It's a tool at a different price, you can play music on a 100 dollar guitar, but some people find value in playing on a 5000 guitar, holding that tool everyday, playing music on it, living with it for years, it has no price for some.
I don’t have a Leica, but I appreciate the fact that they aim to build the best camera they can, not just building to a price. They are the only game in town for what they do.

I have this camera and it’s definitely more than just a “tool” as so many like to label cameras. It’s functional, highly capable, art in a sense. It’s a legacy brand that produces stunning camera, that produce stunning images. Congrats!
