Had dit nog niet gehoord in het nieuws hier in Nederland. Maar dat kan ook aan mij liggen hoor. Ik ben in ieder geval heel blij ook eens (heel) goed nieuws uit Zuid Afrika te horen, in plaats van steeds weer die 'revengeracism', corruptie, destructie, criminaliteit, moord, enz.enz. What are you even talking about? There are plenty of places in the US which are modern and well-run. In fact, most modern infrastructure and technology was invented in the US. Imagine thinking that the entirety of the US is like the crime-filled DC.

The housing (white street) on 6'.02'' looks like the kind of urban development Orania needs if it wishes to grow into a town. It can't follow the urban sprawl, low density, car dependency of American towns, or, at least the majority significant part of it can't. This looks like a well-proportioned, pleasant accessible and safe street plan and allows for the village to grow. Low density housing = low rental charge with high cost (for tarmacing etc.).

We stayed in the camping ground a good few years ago. Beautiful community. Everything works so well. Each resident pulling their weight and contributed to things running smoothly. Amazing. I just hope it stays this way as Orania grows. Baie liefde en dankie vir die wonderlike memories van ons kamp by julle.

Hi all I will write in English as it is better than my Afrkaans.
However let me just say that I do love Afrikaans and can speak (quite well) it but not write it that we'll. This I learned in my sevice.
I am of English decent but just like my father can't stand the English, and to be honest with you am so cross with some of the Boers because the could have done some much 7, poin in case if Delarey lisstened to Siener.
So here is my question here is an English man that can not stand the English, can speak relative ok Afrikaans, married to a Ukrainain woman that is more on the Russian side how is willing to learn the language.
So will you accept us
If you can speak the language, live the culture and stand for the idea of selfbeskikking for the Afrikaners, you are in!

Just goes to show what is possible when you employ competent, non-corrupt persons first and foremost; as opposed to the ANC's thinking of: employing your family and friends as a favor, who are otherwise hell-bend towards making as much money for themselves as quickly as they can with as little work as possible, which is a recipe for disaster, as we are witnessing in the rest of South Africa today!
Orania is an absolute model for Kenyans to emmulate. In Central Kenya where there are only Kikuyus speaking Kikuyu. These tribal people could imitate the Oranians and demonstrate to the rest of the people of Kenya how the country should be run. Also the Luos could borrow a leaf from the Africanas and with the blessings of their Baba build or carve out such a village say in Siaya district and produce an example for the rest of the country to follow. Beneath all this lies the phylosophy of comradeship and non-tolerance to corruption.
The elders or leaders of Orania should try and invest in robotics assembling house boys, house maids, gardeners, nurses and garbage collectors thereby getting menial jobs reduced as much as possible. Once such a system is established there will be so many avenues for advancement. However the Oranians must practice a common Christian religion that binds their identity together. Good luck Oranians.

Ik vraag me af of zoiets ook mogelijk is voor dorpen in Nederland. Of dat de rechter dat afkeurt en boetes oplegt voor discriminatie enz.
De dorpsgemeenschappen worden namelijk overrompeld door stedelingen. En zo wordt hun taal, levenswijze en gemeenschap bedreigt.
De stedelingen op hun beurt vluchten weg van de steden door de overvloed aan vluchtelingen. Het is een sneu verhaal.
Dis goed om te sien mense wat iets doen ipv net op n hoop sit en moan! As ek nog in die land gebly het, sou ek aansoek gedoen het om daar te bly. Hou koers, mense!

Julle gee my nuwe moed virre toekoms waar daar lig inni donker tonnel is. En dis nie die trein wat oppad issi maar 'n toekoms van om onafhanklik te kan funksioneer en lewe.
Ek wou net iets vra; is die idee van Orania nie om 'n "ankerstad vir 'n volkstaat" te wees nie? As dit die geval is - is die idee dan nie om Afrikaners 'n meederheid in 'n streek van ZA te maak nie? Wat van al die arm blankes oral ZA? As hulle in die gebied van Orania tuiste en werk kon kry sou dit nie met die eindpunt help nie? Het Orania so 'n projek aan die gang?
Daar is twee koshuise vir arm blankes in Orania, waar die mense werk moet kry binne 2 wekeen dan word hulle gehuisves teen 1/10de van die koste. Maar ek stem, die proses is klein en Orania se erwe en huise word al hoe duurder.
Het gesien hoe duur die behuising is 😮
Eks ‘n verpleegkundige en kan ook nie daai huise bekostig nie. Afrikaners was nog altyd net vir hulle self 😢

I would like to live there. My mother is Afrikaans but we were raised English speakers so I guess I will have to improve my Afrikaans to live there. Would love to add a “tech/digital” dimension to the Orania economy.

It is a town/city specifically for Afrikaners although anybody can live their if you are willing to accept the rules and are willing to fit in with the Afrikaner culture and living standard.
