Meh, passively fianchettoing both bishops and sacrificing pawns for long-term positional compensation is definitely not the way that chess was supposed to be played. Black takes all the credit for making this game as crazy as it was. White was just lucky he came up against a creative opponent, but is himself most certainly just another generic, boring player.
This game was the perfect chance for u to turn the Tabels and let us guess the Elo, cause i would never expect this game to be played between two 2400 ratet players. Missed Opportunity there but okay. NICE VIDEO!

What really helps with the craziness is how Levy breaks down any tangents that could have happened. Each time this is done, crazy events become even more ludicrous and rare while the game shows off just how expansive the skill gaps can be.
It reminds me of one of those math problems in which depending on how you try to find a value through limits you get positive infinity, negative infinity... or zero. Really amazing game, thanks for the commentary.
Holy shit, that King on a1 looked like a Shogi kingwalk. (For those who don't know, there's no castling move in Japanese Chess-and most pieces are good at attacking forwards, bad at attacking sidewards. So running your King to the opposite backrank can save a lost position into a draw.)
