it actually isnt how the engine derives its eval, because once you get to the "position where the losing side has to sac material" the engine will show a different number at that point than what it started with before the combination of moves. Levy just says things sometimes without knowing what hes talking about
I'm not a computer scientist but considering you can get like a +n engine eval position in a rook and pawn endgame where n is greater than the amount of material either side can possibly sacrifice I don't think that's true
@@cecilasen yeah this sounds weird so to me it may mean that my reasons maybe true upto a certain point then is no longer applicable, or it may be that my reasons are totally wrong from the very first word I started to write 😂😂 in that case the specialists should be doing a better job so as we get what's going on or lastly it could also maybe be explained by the horizon effect these engines I hear they have like when it's sensing mate but that mate is prolly 9moves mate but engine has depth of calculating say upto 7moves...since it's impossible for the comp to give the mating line coz it can't see beyond 7moves but it knows that position in 7moves is so bad that even material on the board can't begin to cover it... don't know if I explained well

I think the idea of Bc5 was that the bishop is protected by the knight on d3, forgetting that the knight on d3 is black's knight, not white's.
