Just played a game with 94.8% accuracy with this opening. Messed up the move order a little bit but my opponent couldn't capitalise. Sacrificed my knight and rook to get two brilliant moves on my way to win the game lol. Excellent stuff, GM Igor 💯
Love all these 15 minute videos going into different openings and tactical patterns. I subbed to your channel after you helped me crush my coworker who loves the wayward queen attack!
The other move would be Rxf7+!, which removes the f7 pawn that was protecting e6. If black plays Rxf7, then Ne6+ wins the queen. Black's other two moves are Kg7 and Kh7, with the last one being the worst of the bunch.
I am a big fan of this channel and it really helped me a lot to go from 1400 to 1800. But I am still struggling in 1800 and stuck at 1600-1700. Can you recommend me books or concept based on my elo and my weakness, which is maneuvering to set up a position where it favors my tactical skills?
Once again thank you GM Igor for this great video! Quick question- is this opening to be played against the Sicilian only or can you play this against other defenses by black?
At 6.45 you win the queen for a rook and knight... Would you please make a video about opening with white to get from rapid 1800 to 1900 or higher... I'm kinda stuck in rapid 1800 and wanna get passed this

this has to be the most annoying opening to face because you've got to think as black and most likely run out of theory very fast while the opponent gets to play Qe1 Qh4 and then throw every piece at your face every single game.
I congratulate you for your channel and I thank you for what you teach, I would like to recommend that you include in your videos Spanish subtitles because we are many Latinos who follow your channel and that would help us to be more sure of what we learn thanks to you, and God bless you and may you continue to succeed day by day.
Why would you not show black bishop takes at 4:08 line? Why is the assumption that opponent wasted a move capture a pawn when all whites pieces are in front of the black king? So weird

1. Rxf7 Kg8 2. g4 Nf4 3. Qh7#.
No need for more.
At 6:45 1. Rxf7+ Rxf7 2. Ne6+ forks K and Q
If 1....Kg8 or h8, then 2. Rh8 followed by bringing the c3 knight, e.g. Ne2
Good job 👍👍👍
2.Rh8 ?? Haw?
Yeah, you'll win the queen, but you'll still be slightly down in material.

Even winning the queen still leaves you behind though
Got to give this compliment to you mate, extremely helpful details that u provided in this video! love the grand prix attack & more power to u
Thank you, Igor!

Thank you igor love these type of videos
My rating is 1800 and i won a lot of online games with this opening. Thank you for the video.
Brilliant Igor
Rxf7+ so you can fork the King and the Quenn

6:48 Rxf7+ (Rxf7 Ne6+ wins the Queen) (Kg8 Rg7+ (Nxg7 Qh7#) (Kxg7 Ne6+ wins Queen) Kh8 Rh7+ Kg8 Rxh5 gxh5 Qxh5 Kg7 Qh7+ Kf6 Nd5+ Kxg5 h4+ Kg4 Qxg6+ Kxh4 g3+ Kh3 Nf4#
Now I need to learn *more* theory just to play my sicilian now
@GMIgorSmirnov What's the best opening for black for a beginner and intermediate player?
Sicilian defense
@@zxvc849too complexe...maybe the dragon variation tho
nice
Aggressive opening❤
Spoiling the fun:
~ 2...e6 3.f4 d5 4.Nf3 exf4.
~ 2...e6 3.f4 d5 4.Nf3 Nf6.
~ 2...Nc6 3.f4 e6 4.Nf3 a6.
I always get destroyed when I try that opening.
Im stuck on 1500 an 1600 its like I don't want to make a mistake
yep, it works very well, thanks :)

I love the grand prix, but often i dont know what to do when black puts the bishop on e7 or f6 preventing my queen from going to h4.
Common opening ❌ complex opening ✅
Complex openings are hard to navigate for the opponent too. That helps boost winning chances
@@DanacChess As a Sicilian player, no it's not. GPA is easy to crush when you know what you're doing
@@jedrekpobocki7534 I am a sicilain player too and I don't find it hard to counter
2700 is a strong grandmaster.
Rating inflation is real, I remember when 2700+ meant current world champion. 🙂
World champion this year will most likely be 2700 lol
It’s just rook to f7 check if rook takes rook then fork the king and queen if king moves to h6 then check mate on h7

Probably tied for the most annoying opening with the rossolimo attack
always watch your video and will always see it, just keep doing and give your valuable time for amazing knowledge and information about trading.
ne2 ,+then ng3. other way rxf7 check, rxf7 ,+ne6 check
Which is better, grand Prix or Alapin?
I keep watching Igor and am in danger of going below 600.
Sicilian is still great!😎😏
Ouch.

Awesome to hear that from you!

Thank you IGOR, You're one of the best chess teacher on RUclips, I really enjoy and learn alot from your videos
Great lesson
Please make vedio about how to destroy double fianchetto system
i thought this was the recent arjun erigaisi game
It is English opening with more tempo. I like it a lot.
Igor please make a video on the old Benoni
Well sir thank u
Thanks for another great lesson!
Why would you not show black bishop takes at 4:08 line? Why is the assumption that opponent wasted a move capture a pawn when all whites pieces are in front of the black king? So weird
then take back and sac the rook next move, makes no difference
Rxf7 Ne6+
