I've been going back and forth between my s21 ultra and iPhone 13 pro for the last year used S21 from launch and I'm just fully convinced s21 Ultra is the best Phone that's been made to this date

Absolutely, i still have my S21 ultra phantom black and it stick kicks ass (just got the buds pro2 black also and they match perfectly). Battery life and performance are still top notch in my book, wont be getting the S23 either, im completely satisfied with this phone 💯

Is it still worth it to buy this phone this year?
I am a iPhone user but always see the Android videos since I used to be android user 6 years ago. I am happy that android has finally reached to the point where people can use their phones for multiple years no lag. My experience with Samsung 7 years ago was bad but looking at the videos nowadays and if they really are that good and that fast then honestly people should keep using their phones for 4 years without upgrading. I used my iPhone XR for 4 years then upgraded to iPhone 14 pro.
I'm also still very happy with my S21 Ultra, (Exynos and 16GB Ram). The cameras are very good, the display is stunning, the finish of the phone very noble and beautiful, and in my opinion better compared to the S22 and S23 series. The only things I wished though, a longer battery life sometimes, and most importantly for me, an integrated S Pen. However, I am still not sure if the S23 Ultra would be worth the upgrade.

Great video, I'm interested in buying this phone at the moment. What is the speaker like? My old phones HTC One and LG G7 had v impressive stereo speakers (and dac), I have the Samsung S10 at the moment, but the speakers are very poor in comparison.
I always thought the speakers on the 21 were really impressive. I watched a ton of video without headphones and hard to turn it down to hear what my kids were trying to tell me.
I jumped from a much loved 512Gb Note 9 to an Exynos 512Gb 16Gb RAM S21 Ultra two years ago, and I have to say that my 21U has been the best phone I have ever had and it has just gotten better with all the software updates that have landed on it. Fantastic display and speed and camera ability, excellent battery life and so easy to handle rounded corner design and a lovely premium weighty and solid feel to the whole phone makes owning one a delight. On a photographic level the phone is stunning, and I mean STUNNING, and light years ahead of my very capable Note 9, but excess noise and occasional detail dropout in the shadows even in good light when recording video (4K 60) through the main lense has been the only low point for me. This is a shame as video quality overall is good with excellent stability and natural colours and sharpness. I will be switching to the 23 Ultra in the next month but I will be holding on to my 21U as a back up phone as I just love the thing so much. My old Note 9 is still performing well as my current second phone I must add. 👍

@@neilmcguinness4422lol well I only use the mix, note and oppo now and again for youtube, netflix and cod mobile. The tab S8 ultra will see use soon and be used for the same things but will be the tab I take out with me, 2nd gaming laptop will be just for taking out with me. Only running an rtx 2070 max q in that. Been sat in a shop window trying to sell it for years but no luck - probably due to my buddies shop location.

I'm looking to upgrade my Note 9 which I bought in 2019, and I want to look at an upgrade due to wear and tear (screen burns, issues with charging port etc). Realistically with a budget on a flagship phone with no issues, it's most likely the S21 Ultra I'll be going after, potentially S22 Ultra if the price is knocked down a bit more now S23 is around the corner this year

I agree. I think there haven't been enough upgrades to justify it. As I said in the video, I'm only upgrading for the larger screen real estate of the Fold 4.

Still love my s21 ultra (exynos version) 🙂. great performance,solid camera,love the design and battery is great still to this day.I get between 8-10hrs sot with easily full day battery,120hz wqhd.
I've purchased many phones since(iPhone 13 pro, oppo X3 pro, pixel 5, pixel 6 pro, s22, flip3) but still love my s21 ultra.
It really is a great phone and can still to this day stand up against the best of them.

Did the exynos 2100 version become better and get updates? Heard that it had heating issues when it came out

The link that you provided to buy it, have you bought it from there too? I'm jusat wondering because I don't know how reliable Amazon's renewed phones are and given that I dont live in the US, I basically am out of that 3 month return period if anything is wrong and I will only know the state of the phone about 3 weeks after buying it given that I have to ship it to my country. Would you recommend still buying it? Have you had experience with Amazon renewed devices and specifically from that seller you linked?
I purchased a "Renewed" device from Amazon a while back. I didn't read closely enough and didn't know it was renewed until after I got it. But it seemed like new. Had no issues whatsoever. Obviously there can be the ones who aren't so lucky, but if Amazon guarantees it, then it should be reputable. Just check out the seller and make sure you find one that looks trustworthy and has a good rating. I will look into the one I have linked and double check. I don't want to accidentally get anyone taken advantage of or get a bad phone. Thanks for the heads up!

I'm waiting for the Unpacked event on February 1st to see if maybe the S22 line up drops significantly in price in Amazon but if it doesn't, I think a renewed S21 will be the way to go.

I have the Huawei P30 Lite and am currently thinking of updating my phone to the S21 Ultra. I am so indecisive because my phone is amazing but giving it to my husband to upgrade his phone due to his work (I previously gave him my P20 Lite, ha ha). Wished Huawei still had Google (Amazed at their longevity). Anyhow, would you recommend the S21 Ultra over the Samsung A series (esp. A54)? Love the video.

Hi, my samsung s21 ultra is giving around 6 or 6 and half an hour screen on time(continuous video streaming) with few battery saving precautions taken like dark mode but ive seen people saying it is giving aroung 8 to 9 hrs sos, does changing battery to get me 8 to 9 hrs sos a day?
I'd say 8 or 9 hours wouldn't be possible if you're video streaming, unless you turn off background apps running. But easily can get 8 or 9 hours if casual scrolling or social media.

I just bought a refurbished S21 ultra on ebay & got it yesterday. It was listed as good condition. It's in great shape, cost $430 total. But it's now 2023. I have a question or two.
My laptop screen went out on me so I use this instead for now. I use it off & on all day & night. Should I expect it'll get hot? How many years might I expect to get out it?

Not sure how long you'll get out of it, but mine was showing ZERO signs of slowing down or any issues when I upgraded 5 months ago. I never had an issue with mine overheating, either. And I used it to its max potential.
I came to Samsung from the Motorola z4, discontinued. I am loving this model!

Does OneUI show nay lag through the year compared to Oxygen OS? I have Samsung phone before but the OS is sluggish after a year of usage and I have switched to Oneplus since then. I have Oneplus 8T for 3 year and it's performance does not degrade much. Not sure how Samsung phone perform these date.
My phones haven't degraded much in my time owning them. Usually it is my screen that is the first thing to go where it loses a little of its response, but the phone maintains its level of performance pretty well.
You're not telling us much. What Samsung did you have? I've had the problem you're talking about with alot of older phones. I bought the galaxy 21ultra 128gb and I've had zero problems so far

I love your review ... and I have loved my S21 Ultra + 5G. So, the question is, given that it is still quite competitive and that there are still Android updates promised, is it worthwhile updating to S23 Ultra?
Depends what you're looking for. The announcement the other day makes the 23 looks really nice. I like the S Pen being in the phone again since the Note series. But if you don't need that or a very specific use for the new camera set, the 21 will do just fine for now.

My S21U after updating to OneUI 5.0, it always gets overheating 40-46 *C despite I don't use heavy task or gaming, and the onscreen time is only 5-6 hours. Too bad!!!
That's a bummer. Hope they can fix the issue with another update.

Yes, I can confirm that it's a great phone in 2023 except for the battery I'm always on power saving mode and I wished that mine was the snapdragon version it would be faster with some tasks.

@The Drone Dad No it's new & got it from the Samsung dealership here in Jordan (middle east) but the max screen time on from 100 to 0% can't get over 6 hours with QHD+ 120Hz dark mode & with power saving mode FHD it can last like 9 hours screen time on.

Samsung just announced they have extended their updates to 4 years instead of three previous rule of 3 years. So the s21u should be covered until 2025.

I had the vivo y21 last year and last Christmas I upgraded to the s21 ultra and it was one of the best decisions I've ever made, I'd only upgrade when the s25u or s26u comes but but I know for sure that I'm not getting an iphone
I just got the 24u in February. Working on a review of that now.
Keeping my s21 ultra for AT LEAST another 2 years... probably upgrade the the s25 when it comes time....

This phone really was a game changer. They may need some time to come up with enough new stuff to really "wow" us after that.
I just bought a Samsung certified renewed S21 Ultra to replace a Motorola G5 plus. Haven't fully changed over to it yet but it's a massive upgrade for me. I still like the old phone.

@The Drone Dad i feel like its a bg upgrade over the s20 series expect gaming were the s20 series especially the ultra is still the king of android flagship in terms of tens gaming it would do pubg at 90fps which alot of gaming phones can't do

I'd be inclined to go with the Ultra model over a regular model. But that's without doing a side by side of the specs.
S21 ultra 12gb 256gb, and s23 8gb 128 gb. Both have almost the same price.

I loved my S21 Ultra, it just started having a data problem and I decided to try iPhone. 6 months later and I'm using an S23 Ultra.

I love my samsung s21ultra coming from s20 ultra horrible ability photos. This phone has a lot of features, and better battery life. The photos are amazing. I'm not upgrading anytime soon love this phone.
It is gonna be hard to convince most to quit this phone.
I have that phone in the exact same colour and it's not going anywhere. For one thing the design is beautiful and I really have no use for the S Pen. When is do use a pen cos it supports it I just grab the one that came with my old Tab S3. Not a fan of the new boxy design of the S22 Ultra and the S23 Ultra. Besides I think it's the best phone Samsung ever came up with....it'll have to be something really drastic to make me swap like a much improved UDC for instance or when the updates run dry.
I’ve been using iPhone for the most part except when I broke my iPhone 11 Pro Max two years ago and got the Galaxy s10+ it was a great phone but I didn’t like that is wasn’t getting updates anymore except for security patches. But now that I’ve been back with iPhone for awhile. I’m just not impressed anymore. Sure apple updates their older devices for a longer duration but they’re overpriced for no reason because the Samsun S series line up offers way better specs like screen resolution, and RAM, Battery life, processors, download speeds, etc. Personally I don’t feel the need to go out and buy the latest phones as soon as they come out. I let them age for a year or so then get them on a deal. So thank you for this video I have made up my mind I’m ditching appl and going for the Galaxy s21 ultra

The PPI and resolution is still superior to the S22, S23 and iPhone 14. The chip is a bit faster in the other phones, but it is barely noticeable. Speed is not even needed, unless you game on your phone. S21 ultra is a keeper.

I'm not a fan of the 20:9 aspect ratio its way to narrow and takes away from the enjoyable screen experience
I didn't mind the ratio too much. Weird at first, but I got used to it.

I'm happy with my S21 Ultra, it's a terrific smart phone. I have no plans to upgrade. But security updates end next year.

Since Samsung galaxy s 3 i have all phones of the galaxy S series and more or less they are the same as hardware performance. And am a person working on my phone every day all day.

My 21 Ultra never overheated unless it was laying out in the sun in the middle of summer.
without a doubt even the s8 and s9 are still good its just the software and it was powerful enough to handle android 13

Hell yeah it is. The Note 20 Ultra is still a great option especially with the expandable storage it has.

I had the s22 ultra I traded it for the iphone 14 pro max (dumbest decision of my life) I still use my s21 ultra a lot more then the iphone I've been buying phones since the early 2000's back when Nokia 3300 was poppin sidekick was my number 1 and s21 ultra is currently my number 2 then it's the blackberry definitely my favorite smartphone

Except for newest processor (which most people would barely notice) their nearly the same on the inside and same screen…just different shape.

Yeah. Most phones are these days. I use a case since I've got kids who sometimes wanna watch movies on my phone, but if was nice to spend some time admiring the look of the phone itself.
