Awesome, I had a bunch of the same ones you have. I gave my collection to my brother since he had four boys. He added my collection to his. I don't have any kids to share the awesome memories.
I did and we had over 200 between three boys. I remember they were sticker priced at $1. My brother has them for his boys but not even sure if they still use them. Have not seen them in a long time.
i'm 45 years old and i live in the southeast of Mexico, in my childhood there was no free trade agrement between Mexico and USA so those cars were brought here as bootleg ("fayuca"), and all those cars, despite being new, were sold with out the cardboard box, I always. I remember several of those cars in my collection.
I just got 30 Matchbox cars are getting around 1968 at a Goodwill for six dollars it was an old Mattel case My pride and joy is the cabin cruiser boat and trailer it’s in perfect condition no chips at all no scratches no fadingI have the top to the Safari truck but not the safari truck

4:01 That’s a DUKW amphibious vehicle, known as the Duck. 4:08 That’s a Half-Track vehicle. 9:31 That’s a Mercedes Benz ambulance, not a hearse. The Ghostbusters also refitted an ambulance, not a hearse. 12:35 That is a Tate & Lyle sugar tanker. Tate & Lyle was a British based sugar refining company. They diversified into agri-business in the 1970’s. 12:51 That’s a gritter trick. You could fill it with very fine grit and by pulling the tab at the back, it opened a slot and the grit could be offloaded under the truck. 13:53 those are Dodge cattle trucks and they should have two cows in the rear. 15:15 if you flip the tailgate over towards the rear, that dump truck works just fine. 15:26 That’s a DAF scaffold truck. It should have 12 pieces of red scaffold on the flat bed. 15:32 those are pipe trucks and should have 6 interlocking pipes on the flat beds. 16:03 Those are Airport Crash Tenders and they are missing a white plastic sign on each side that reads ‘Airport Crash Tender’ and ladders and pipes on the roof.

Hi Timber Silvas :) Congrats on having them with the boxes, That adds value also. I compare to what they sell for on Ebay. If you type the name, brand and number on the bottom of the car, you should find it pretty easy. That is how I do it :)
I am 61 years old and my mother sent me my Matchbox cars from the 60’s and 70’s. Probably around 65 in total. What is the best way to determine their approx value? I’m sure there is some collector that would like some of them. I’m not looking at getting rich but would like to know a reasonable value. Recommendations are appreciated.
That is a super cool story, condition plays a big roll and the diecast itself. As long as the have good paint, no broking pieces I would say between 5 to 15 dollars each. Some cars command more money then others. You can also check Ebay and type the name of the car and date and odds is you will find it. Good luck :)

My Mum used to have her friends around with their snot nosed little kids - who would break my match box cars and super kings well I was at school.Little brats dribbling over my toys. Im 48 yrs old and I can still recall what ones got broken.
They came out with fast wheels to compete with mattels hotwheels - ironically mattell owns matchbox now- they also came out with rollomatics with engine parts that would move up and down on the hood louver- also came out with a steerable ferrari model as well as a track system to run them on- i have HAD THEM ALL

I now live in an apartment building so I have no room to do anything. The old Matchbox cars I have are 2 Ford Galaxies, a Fire Pumper Truck, a Studebaker Lark Wagonaire, a Volkswagen 1600 7L, and a Mercedes 300 SE.
