We are a family of 4 as well, and we also purchase the paper plates to use from time to time on the weekend, for the exact same eason as yourself! Sometimes, we just need a break from all the dishes!

I was today years old when I realized that asparagus came in different sizes 😂 Yes, pencil size is definitely easier for me to cook and I feel like it would be more tender but clearly I’m no expert! Thanks for the video!

Cara Cara are my favourite too!! First time I’m hearing about pencil asparagus…we learn everyday!

Wish I could shop as much as you, but I do find certain items because of your blog. Thanks. Yes, on item in the veggie drawer... snatch them out clean them up and freeze them. Onions, garlic, ginger, zucchini, whatever. Buy don't try and freeze lettuce. When you brush T-bone for shedding/dander take him outside or on the patio, so your home won't be so affected. Plants I have a green thumb don't give up too soon, if you must the roots never die. So don't discard them.

I love the power wash, I use it everyday. I made a lot of smoothie bags with spinach, strawberries, blueberries and froze them. I’d add yogurt and juice with half a banana. I made too many, and there was frost built up in the bags and I had to throw some away. But they were handy. See you Thursday Dee 💕🇨🇦👍🐶

Sweet potatoes are so good! I like to wash them and cut in half with s&p olive oil. I'll roast them on Sunday for the week when the electricity use is cheaper.

I do not have a green thumb. I also prefer pencil sized asparagus. Around Easter, my warehouse had Asparagus on sale for around $4 for the package. I grabbed that up for meals. But the price should come down soon as local asparagus will be available. Smoothies look yummy. See you on Thursday.

Thanks for the video. Asparagus bottoms can be used to make asparagus soup. Works great. Then there is no waste.

The only plants I seem to be able to get to survive these days are cactus 🌵. I usually plant perennials in the garden super easy to take care of.
Good morning, Dee. Love your videos, I do agree with you on the CcaraCara are the best! I just love the pencil sparetrees, they are soo tender, steamed and with a squeeze of lemon and abit of butter, sooooo yummy. T-bone is indeed growing up quickly, he will still be a puppy till he reaches 2yrs.

Hi Dee, I hope you and your family doing well,I’m on the West Coast. We’re having a beautiful sunny day 17°. I do like the red purple grapes better they taste sweeter but my second choice will be the green grapes but the red ones are way more delicious.
I find the green sometimes flavourless but both are good when you get a good pack

I enjoy Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry juice as well, it's sweet & tart & delicious.
I am "team pencils" when it comes to asparagus. I find they are more tender.
Dee, please be careful and check on the Romaine hearts from Salinas, Ca.
Ever since the recall, I'm just not comfortable enough to buy them again.
I've been using Boston lettuce for my salads and it is buttery-tender and delicious.
I love the KS blue recycling bags. They're perfect and keep the blue bin clean from any debris.
Your new plants are so lush. I especially love the leaves on the Calathea plant.
Your office refresh looks like a tropical oasis with all your plants. ☺

BTW, I wanted to ask you, you said you are no longer buying basa fish. Could you please explain why?
I just had the very best fish & chips from a local diner and, when I asked what type of fish it was, they said it was basa. Then I remembered what you said in your video 😮

Team pencil. I’m the only one who likes asparagus (more for me 😊) and eat them lightly roasted with a vinaigrette. That’s dinner. Our dog, Nacho, loves sweet potatoes too. Not saying he is spoiled but I bake slices for him in a slow oven.

Thanks Dee. Asparagus is something I wait to buy in season. When Costco gets Ontario asparagus in I go crazy and buy until they run out. Then that’s it until the next year.
The sweet Karoline berries are best. I bought 2 packs just for me 😂

Smoothies look delicious!
They are, hope you try them out!
I just put lettuce in a container with some vinegar and water to help reduce bacterial contaminants. Spin dry and wrap in aluminum foil and it last a lot longer. If there are still some water droplets on the lettuce, wrap some paper towels around it before wrapping in foil and storing in produce drawer. Team pencil asparagus for sure. I store mine standing in a container of water in the fridge until I use it. I don't snap the ends off until I am ready to use it. Looking for the update on the air purifier. Keep peace lily away from T-Bone, they are toxic to pets.

Happy Sunday Dee. I'm on team slim 'pencil asparagus, I didn't use all the asparagus I purchased it last month, but it was chunky/clunky and I should have waited for the slim stalks. I hope the pencil asparagus is in next time. I do like cara cara oranges however, can't eat oranges at all recently. Thank you for the smoothie recipes, they are simple with minimal ingredients. This time of year it is hard finding certain vegetables, lettuce, potatoes in good shape. Instead of iffy California lettuces, I make salads with Canadian cabbage red/green or broccoli/cauliflower salads with lots of things added such as red onion, grated carrot, dried cranberries, raisons, an apple if I have one and these salads are so much better nutritionally etc, . Like you I worry about the California romaine. It has been in the news too much and leaves me a bit squeamish about eating it. Our local farm market has planted lettuces already and I am sure looking forward to that in a few weeks. We try and not eat things like fresh corn out of season and wait for local.

So funny I have had a peace lily and dracena and spider planet for years but wish I could kill the. Lol At least the peacefully let's me know when bit is crime to water. Leaves go limp and perk backup. Fun to watch what you buy.

Hi Dee most dogs don’t like lettuce. I haven’t had a dog yet that did. Let use know if he liked it he might like the part that you cut off. Also don’t forget to tuck some paper towels in your veg lol. Also I don’t snap the bottoms of my asparagus I just cut the very bottoms off. I personally think it’s such a waste to snap it off. That’s just might be me.

I find ocean spray has hardly any cranberries in it but mostly apple juice . Also it's not even Canadian apples . 🎉
