What I love about Toriko is that he’s a tribute to all the old 70’s/80’s Shonen protagonist in Shonen Jump characters like Kenshiro from FistOfTheNorthStar, ryo saeba from City Hunter and Tsurugi Momotaro from sakigake otokojuku

Man, I remember that ending, reading it over and over again and trying to imagine their space odyssey and wanting to know more about his inner demons, or whatever entity they were supposed to be.
I appreciated that you talked about the author terrible action, made the better video and more honest that you didn't skip it.

Yeah I remember when I finished toriko back in 2016 it was when I was about to graduate highschool and even though it wasn't the ending I wanted it was a Manga that taught me to grateful in the things in life. It also marked an end of a chapter of my life. (Naruto and Bleach included)

I was never into Toriko but I do remember being vaguely curious when I saw those crossovers with One Piece and DBZ. Its disappointing that its anime and manga ending were so underwhelming.
I actually remember reading this some. I really liked it. Allowed me to embrace my inner foodie. Sadly my library only went up to the 8th installment at the time lol, and I kinda just moved on to Shugo Chara. Nice to see it get some recognition from you!

If you’d like a recommendation for a manga I would try Kongo bancho it’s really enjoyable and pretty short only has 114 chapters
I love Toriko and always considered it the 4th place guy to the big three. Still I feel like it started going downhill during the pair arch. Perhaps it just wasn’t matching my sense of humor but it felt stretched out and just started to loses me with more and more nonsense gimmicks being added in that made the last fight a bit of a blur to me. Still the last chapter did make up for some of it.
