Tony didn't see a difference between them, but there were a lot, for starters, killmonger is black, suffers from oppression, racism and so on. his motives come from a place of rage against the system, Tony just wants to build weapons.
Tony learned a lot in that cave. He built the MK-1 suit right under his captors' noses. He's never faced that kind of desperation, so he never needed to be that crafty.

I think the real Nexus event is that Kilmonger's dad did die from gang violence, or at least that Erik genuinely believes that. He would have killed T'Chaka otherwise
I assume Black Panther showing up to bust Klaw's sale is something that happened in the primary timeline- and is how Klaw got the Wakandan "thief" brand.
He got branded because he got caught. T'Chaka's brother helped him escape with the shipment, though probably didn't count on Klaue doing so much damage on his way out. That's my opinion though.

Slowly pushing more toward that climax of the series, where he'll most likely actually interfere after not being able to withstand all this.

He's unkillable, he's a 16th-degree wallmaster, and he's got the perfect "devil may care" attitude about stuff in general so he could be highly villainous when he wants to. Even if it's just a well-timed comedic relief insert to misdirect us from the real and probably not as interesting villain, it would be pandemonium.
Those jericho missiles that general Ross wants to launch on wakanda won't do shit on those barriers. Remember when Thanos's ships tried to penetrate through the barriers but couldn't go through, making winter soldier Bucky Barnes say "I love this place"
How are they going to send it anyway? Didn't he say they're doing it from the African coast? Wakanda in the MCU lore is landlocked, meaning the missiles will have to fly over multiple countries to reach it no?

anyone else notice that Killmonger gives away his game plan to each of his enemies while acting like an ally? he told Tony about covering their tracks by sending Rhodes to get the vibranium, and thats exactly what he did to Tony. he told King Tachaka that he would do anything to avenge his father's death, while manipulating him into making him the next black panther.
I felt like it was also a subtle touch when Tony mentioned the smaller arc reactor as a possibility he touched his heart/chest for a moment. Nice, Disney, I saw that.

Thor requests a Bloody Mary from Tony in Endgame, ending arguably his lowest scene before he if forced to confront his issues. Sadly Tony's request in this ep was just another drink, to recover enough, to drink more.
We could definitely use a What If Season 2 (of course depending if the last episode of Season 1 is a big crossover event) but all the episodes were left with heavy cliffhangers. It would be nice to see where they pick up from in the next season. Or we could have plenty of different scenarios for season 2 that come from Phase 1-4

Hmmm...I wonder if the relationship w/ Ross is a teaser for a still alive Killmonger being a member of the Thunderbolts. Also I absolutely love how they focused on how educated and intelligent Killmonger really was. That was barely glanced over in the movie.

I would just like to point out that tony and killmonger were drinking Lagavulin at the bar, and that reason alone makes this a great episode.
If you freeze-frame it, the bottle and font match that of Lagavulin (good eye!), but to avoid a trademark infringement, it is literally “Vulgarian” (which is a great dig at young Tony’s dissolute ways.)
