The problem with 2 XLR's with different signals isn't lack of inputs on the board, but sound engineers who will choose the easy way out: they'll take your clean side only, and all that perfectly dialed in grit will never make it past your amp or in ears. Dear guitar players, if your music in any way involves a bass guitar being treated like a type of guitar that's heard above 80 hz, you have to help your fellow man out, because the only time bass guitar will get more than a single bare XLR to plug into a DI without a discussion is when you hire your own sound person. Otherwise you end up with one instrument covering all the others with mud, or not being heard at all, because it seems modern sound engineering education says bass guitar belongs in bass frequency region only. Sorry for ranting, but that is my experience as a gigging bass player.
If you actually talk to your sound engineer, maybe send them tech specs they will usually deliver. no sound engineer is going to think that there is going to be a dual channel bass system before the band gets there and usually 5 mins before the set starts is not the time to run that (sorry but usually other instruments are more important than bass though that depends on the band). You could always get a mini mixer.

This was based on a bi-amp rig by a guy called Morgan Nichols. He’s an incredible bassist, criminally underrated.
Got mine two months ago or so (thanks, Thomann), and still love it to bits. Great pedal, I'd rather part with my amps than with the Bass Butler.
Pleasantly surprised to see my Sandberg. Bought mine in 2011 and has been my favourite since. That blue version looks nice. Mine is black 🖤 Anyway, thanks for such a great review of the bass butler - such a clever and simple, yet great sounding device

11:11 but you could feed the signal from the AMP out to a passive DI and problem solved, right?
that, or if you want the cabsim signals you can use a Radial Mix 2:1 and blend the two XLR outs together ;-)
So far great. I wanna hear it Live in PA. The xlr speaker sim is where the Butler is supposed to deliver.

It can be better! If there can be added some sort of effects loop on the guitar side, so we can use another pre or pedal, if we dont like the sound of built in pre in that pedal. Although the built in pre sounds good, to my ears!

I just wish you could turn the cabinet sims off so I could use my own, or have two jack outputs so I could still have it biamped but with no sims.

@@josephfelice8308 yes but that is the two channels blended, I personally would want no analog cab emulation and dual biamped outputs so either a switch or dual 1/4 outputs. It's just odd to me to design an entire amp around a biamp idea yet you can't actually biamp if using real power amps and cabs.
I had mine modded. I have an effects loop out on, but you could easily have an XLR out out on.

Ive only got 1 XLR input on my interface, would a 2 to 1 XLR cable adapter work in making the two signals into 1?
You could take the blended output into a DI box and add an impulse response on your DAW
