I just saw the alternator bracket you made coming off the timing cover i did the same thing haha .
Don't forget to recheck your cam float when you fit the aftermarket pulley back plate. Sometimes they're slightly thinner!
Good looking out thanks!!
I can't see re-timing being any fun with the engine still in the car. Hey, I meticulously rebuilt the starter clutch on my BMW motorcycle and got it all back together, tried to start and wzzzzzz, yep I put the starter clutch in backwards. Had to take the whole side of the motor apart again, it happens.
Best way to do it, you can see what’s going on! Good Chloe 👍
I realize I am kind of randomly asking but does anybody know of a good place to watch newly released tv shows online?
@Jayce Marcelo Flixportal :D
@Samuel Chaim thank you, signed up and it seems like a nice service :D I appreciate it!
@Jayce Marcelo No problem =)
Need to buy the MED hardy splicer joints. For all the future engine removals 😉 so you don’t have to drain the oil
Ugh my wallet.....
Be careful the council doesn’t come around again
Yeah the car is already back on the ground. That was the agreement. I can work on it as much as I want as long as when I am not, its on the ground.
Love that MED cover and I look forward to the install. - I have never seen those engine lifting eyes that screw into the spark plug threads where are they from?
Thanks! I think I might grab an MED crank damper for it too. Just complete the whole look. :-) The engine lift eyes are custom made by a friend of mine and a TIG welder. Hahaha
@@classicminidiy very nice. You should start manufacturing and selling them. Keep up the good work sir
Cole, have you ever done a detail step by step for removing engine and putting it back, tips and tricks, gatchas? This is not a trivial task and I would love to see a step by step from start to finish. I imagine there are other beginners that would benefit from it too.
I guess thinking about it I haven’t done a full step by step on it. That wouldn’t be a bad idea. 🤔🤔
Sorry about the typos and spellcheck! I corrected them. 😊
The classic mini has a very distinct ‘whine’ when you lift off and change gear, but the Metro’s 1275 don’t sound quite the same. What’ The reason.
Might be the positioning of the engine. They also might have different style drop gears between the crank and the gearbox. Which could change the note for sure.
What are your clutch symptoms?
Pulling your engine 8 times makes mega #youtubemoney

Is there any good Brake conversion kit to replace the back drums by my 95 spi mini? Im looking for a 4 Piston in front, and 2 piston in back. maybe you could help me out :) Like your videos :P
In my opinion replacing the rear brakes with discs isn't worth it unless you are trying to trim weight. The stopping power of the brakes that they sell is only marginally better in the rear. For the front, I like the four-pot brakes. I have a conversion set from minisport on my car. (link at the bottom of text) If you want 10-inch wheels you will need the 7.5 discs.
