    Very well said, can you make a video to identify original piston vs duplicate piston. I brought a 1mm Goetze piston for Rx100 but it looks cheap and doesn’t have “goetze” print inside the piston whereas my old Goetze 1mm piston does have it

  • @vintubeable
    @vintubeable 2 месяца назад

    Very unique info. on the piston-rings-cylinder diagnostics. 👌
    My Rx135 is in storage in outdoors for the past 5 years.
    Now, I have been able to get hands on taking stock of the condition and revamping slowly. As expected the engine is in seizure. I removed the head to see the condition, and to my surprise, I see some kind of scaling and deposits on the cylinder wall, giving it a scotchbrite kind of surface. It has hardened. I could see this as the piston has settled at the BDC.
    I am concerned and trying to understand about this condition of the cylinder.
    As kerosene is not available, is it a good idea to pour some 2T oil or diesel into the cylinder and leave it for some days?
    I had sprayed WD-40 two days back via. the spark plug hole to see if it can loosen. Only then, I have removed the head. I have dipped the cyl. head in diesel for general cleaning and hoping to dislodge the carbon in combustion chamber of the head.
    The bike is 22 years old but run less than 20k.
    Request your guidance for saving the cylinder. Thanks

    • @Yamakaze
      @Yamakaze  2 месяца назад

      Use a a wire brush for cleaning the head

    • @vintubeable
      @vintubeable 2 месяца назад

      @@Yamakaze Thanks for the reply. Head is no problem. It got cleaned with WD-40 and diesel and some light brushing.
      The problem is with the cylinder wall where some crystal kind of deposits have accumulated. I see a direct contrast.... the cylinder wall is supposed to be the smoothest surface, where as right now it appears like the roughest sandpaper is stuck on the cylinder wall. 😊
      I have been spraying WD-40 on the cylinder wall and then soaking a cloth in diesel and forcing it in the cylinder, so that diesel keeps dripping on the scaled surface. I shall observe and keep pouring diesel every alternate day for next 1 week and see the changes.
      Any better method you suggest could help save the cylinder.
      Thank you very much.

      check the compression and if its low then take the piston out to look if there is excessive scoring. Price depends on your mechanic, the sound could be bearings, clutch bell or even the crank.

    • @Yamakaze
      @Yamakaze  4 года назад +1

      @@amanmahajan9234 White some means that you are burning the gear oil, white smoke is not to be confused with the blueish smoke that is a two stroke signature, some 2T oils produce more white than blue smoke. first thing to do is check the quantity of the 2T oil, max amount of oil should be around 30ml per litre of petrol. if that doesn't solve your problem than you need to see if real oil is shaping through into the combustion chamber. that would mean bad oil seals or worst, damaged crank case.

And stalls soon as I ride and stop.bad mileage. It is giving me around 10-18kmpl. And also it is not a constant mileage. Previously like last year it was in same condition but some what better, during those days it gave me around 40 kmpl. Exhaust was in good condition in those days. now there is not catalytic converter in it. Each and every time oil is dripping on the floor which is in pure black and thick in state. when i ride or else when i accelerate it hard it drips oil like hell on too the floor.
