- The new rollercoaster at Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA is Dominator, the longest floorless coaster in the world. This is a reverse point of view video of the ride with some ground shots, taken during the media day for the coaster on May 20, 2008.
I can't wait to ride this. Almost everyone I know who has been to Kings Dominion is telling me to ride this. It looks amazing!!!!!!!
I rode this yesterday, the 2nd day it was open, and it is intense, and awesome, its so much fun!!!I was so scared to go on, but am going to go on it everytime I go to KD. The hour wait is worth it, like you wouldnt believe, its very smooth

love this ride! flight of fear is my favorite at kings dominion, but dominator is my second favorite. (although volcano is pretty equal with it.) SO excited for the new ride this year!! it's gonna be amazing!

Correction, Dominator has the second tallest loop in the world but it is the longest floorless coaster in the world (the tallest loop in the world is supermans krypton coaster at 145 ft just ten feet taller than dominators loop)

@iamhoooorny thats because those are the real names of each part. Loop, cobra roll, corkscrews, batwing, pretzal loop, flying snake dive, are all roller coaster elements.
first off i cant believe you guys waited all that time for DOMINATOR when I walked on the ride every time I visited Geauga lake! the best ride ever and it still belongs at Geauga Lake, not King's Dominion where they claim it as the world's longest floorless coaster when Geauga lake was the first to claim it as that.
Also the location sucks at KD where on the shoreline at Geauga lake was sweet.
The colors are ugly too. The original Batman colors were awesome.

Geauga Lake is in Aurora, OH and is now closed and is being converted into a water park.
The whole awkwardness for me was trying to find things to say up until the point where the roller coaster starts getting really good. . . of course, I would be saying something similar to. "This is going to be awesome. YOU READY GUYS?! YOU READY?!"

Ok I went today and I got 10 rides on this. IT is awsome. Must ride. The ride op said its always a walk on during the week but on the weekwend its bad.
@darkandugly the top speed is 65 mph. dont worry you will be fine! you barely ever feel like you are upside down and its not scary at all! this was my first real roller coaster and i was really scared but i loved it and went on it over and over! it definetly looks much scarier than it really is

You're missing the point. Dominator maybe new to KD, but it was relocated there from Geauga Lake in Aurora, OH which closed last year. The coaster is really 9 years old.
this ride looks fun. I thought it was funny when they were going up the lift he said " we have a nice view of the parking lot..." at 0:55.
Yes, Superman and Dominator were both designed by Bolliger & Mabillard.

this is a new coaster in this KD maybe not in the other but this is a new coaster
i can't believe i went to KD 6 months before HSXLC closed, 1 year before dominator came, and 2 years before intimidator.

if you look closley i think the superman and this one are very similar made by the same people. the first drop then the loop are the same second hill too then after the block brake the twisty bits. see what you think
So I rode it, if its slow I want to ride Kraken, this coaster is awesome in my opinion and not slow at all. Well I didn't have to wait 2 hours though, no lines yesterday =)

I wanna do their job. I rode this for the first time last weekend & at night b/c it wasn't working all day until nighttime. & it was freezing outside too.

The only reason I don't like this ride, is 'cause it's too long. And after the first loop, it feels like it goes down a third of it's starting speed, which makes you feel kind of queasy when you make those next few loops.
