This is an amazing coaster! It's almost as much fun to watch as it is to ride... the way it soars around the tracks, so smoothly through the turns... it really is beautiful. And the ride itself is just unreal - so intense from start to finish! I don't gray out on many rides but that first turn always makes me lose some vision, and I love it!
This looks as awesome as my baby Millennium Force! If this ride is as good or better then it will be a first when another park owned by Cedar Fair competes with itself!!! Plus King's Dominion is nearly four hours closer so it makes for a easier trip to get there! I CAN'T WAIT TO RIDE THIS BABY!!!!!!!!!!
Just rode this last week. I'm 50 and was apprehensive, but took the plunge. Like nothing I've ever been on before! No black out, but the main drop is like falling nearly straight down! Awesome!
This ride is absolutely stunning. In terms of intensity and adrenaline its the most exciting roller coaster I've ever been on. Millenium force is a tad bit better because of its perfectly (and I mean perfectly) executed drop but these are my two favorite roller coasters ever!! ^__^ Go intamin
I agree. Greying out every time is not enjoyable. I understand that Intamin was attempting to push the boundaries with this coaster, but there are limits to how much G-force that the average person can withstand. With that said, I have ridden this coaster more times than I can count, just because it is there, and I pay good money to enjoy the park, but Carowind's Fury 325 is MILES better. B&M's are just superior, IMO.
I have actually ridden both and 305 is so much better! Those turns have very strong forces and the twists throw you around, so how is it boring? The one at Carowinds is just too mellow that I could fall asleep on it. And I actually live 1.5 hours closer to Carowinds but I still go to Kings Dominion more often because 305 is THAT much better.
this is my number 1 bucket list coaster in the world for me. I know there might be better. but this ride fascinates me. this to me is a true rollercoaster design.
While the train is being loaded in the station, water is sprinkled onto the wheels to cool them off . That was the first time I've seen a mechanism like that , which goes to show just how intense this coaster is.
@Romeighla trim brakes are brakes usually halfway on the ride of the coaster that don't stop the train but slow it down just a little so that it doesn't jerk or to make the ride smoother.
oh my gosh i've ridden this many times front row and back row and honestly, it's still intense where ever you sit! the g forces are crazy, i blacked out
Dude I just LOVE this ride it just is fantastic it doesnt do the roller coaster tease the last few ticks before you go down the hill it just blasts off you go as fast up as you do down
I ALMOST chickened out on this ride yesterday but I rode it and survived! I closed my eyes coming down the first hill and just before it went into that first curve I opened my eyes to realized everything went black! So, I closed my eyes again for a second and got my vision back! This was an amazing ride!! The only thing I did not like was when it went into the twists I hit my head side to side on the chest harness. Otherwise the ride was totally awesome!!
Mario Floyd id put them on an equal level. Skyrush tries to kill you with insane ejector and (enjoyably) painful restraints, and I305 tries to kill you with 5 G’s and the whippiest turns on earth.
Those were some really awesome shots on the ride! Very enjoyable video, and it makes me want to go again this weekend and hop on that sucker some more! Good thing I have a VIP Season Pass!
I rode this, and blackout the first drop. Going up the hill, I prayed for my life.. LOL. I was barely even down the fuck hill and thought I was falling to my doom. By far the most scariest experience of my life.
@mrcalmac27 I would think OTSRs would be less fun since getting thrown around with them normally means your shoulders and/or head get knocked around whereas with a lap bar there's nothing to get slammed into.
i've already been on it 78 times and i like the first drop but the first hill has trim brakes which sucks if it had more air time hills it would almost be as good as the millenium force or bizzaro both combined i have 1400 ride on them both. still a good ride:)
I freaking LOVE this ride. I think this might be my favorite roller coaster. The sad part was that I bumped my head a second before my picture was taken on it...
@acetoned76 Yes, it's made by one of the 2 best coaster manufacturers ever, Intamin. They are responsible for rides such as Kingda Ka, Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, El Toro, Bizzarro at Six Flags New England, and many other world-renowned rides. They are one of the pioneers in the amusement industry, and designed the first 300 and 400 foot tall roller coasters. This ride is truly state of the art, as well as amazing.
@itsoscarYO yea. but the track is the main difference. they are both Intamin gigacoasters with mostly the same car design. mabye it has something to do with the bearings used
Does anybody find those turns satisfying
Yeah
Who doesn’t
No
not when ur on it 😭😭
Very satisfying until you get on 😂
How is this boring? It's one of the most intense roller coasters ever.
it just is the most intense coaster in the world

Talk about SUPER FAST and Smooth!!!!!!
Just rode this last week. I'm 50 and was apprehensive, but took the plunge. Like nothing I've ever been on before! No black out, but the main drop is like falling nearly straight down! Awesome!
Rode this twice today and blacked out both times... Pure awesome! Baddest coaster I've ever ridden!
Never put a turn right after a 305 foot drop
smooth too
It's not even a 305 ft drop
No, always do that.

Luke Pederson I thought it was a 305 foot drop? Or 300?
IMO the best roller coaster ever made.
My new favorite!
1st - Steel Dragon
2nd - Intimidator 305
Amazing Ride!! and the VIdeo Quality is Awsome Just wondering what Cam did u use to film it :)
You guy's should get some offride shots of Leviathan!
THE TRACK IS SO CLEAN AND SMOOTH, AND YET IT STILL IS!!!!! I LOVE THIS RIDE! GOING AGAIN NEXT THURSDAY

I love this ride too much I love how intense it is rode I 20 times in one day
I used to not really like the layout, but now that I see this ride in full force, I really love it.
The sound it makes through the first turn is badass!
Best coaster at Kings Dominion. Probably my third favorite coaster out of all the coasters that I've been on though.
Holy crap... speechless
this is my number 1 bucket list coaster in the world for me. I know there might be better. but this ride fascinates me. this to me is a true rollercoaster design.

Very beautiful video. Looks like a really cool ride. Especially the fast twist.
I'm going there nxt Friday ! I'm extra hype ! Can't wait , this gonna be the first one I ride ; )

Excellent footage, camera work, quality the whole 9! I want to go on this so bad!
I love the sound coming off the tracks!
I'm going to Kings Dominion on June 4,2010 in Viriginia I'm totally going to ride that!!its insane!!
Skyrush's big brother
Mario Floyd id put them on an equal level. Skyrush tries to kill you with insane ejector and (enjoyably) painful restraints, and I305 tries to kill you with 5 G’s and the whippiest turns on earth.

great shots Rob. Looks sweet.
such an amazing ride. cant believe i ever doubted it
That looks totally insane... I LOVE IT!
It really sounds like a car
U sond like care
That looks insane! I wish I can go on it someday
to bad the 1st turn at the bottom of 305's 1st drop is beter than all of carowind's intimidator
oh my god....amazing...i need to be on this one soon.....thanks for the amazing vid....
cant wait to ride this tomorrow!
Great footage! Just out of curiosity, what did you shoot this on?
I remember stalking the Live Camera they put up while they were building this ride :)
That looks so fast and smooth!
I rode this, and blackout the first drop.
Going up the hill, I prayed for my life.. LOL. I was barely even down the fuck hill and thought I was falling to my doom. By far the most scariest experience of my life.
best ride ever invented
@footballbi1234 Yes they put a large trim on the first drop, but removed the trim on the airtime hill
@mrcalmac27 I would think OTSRs would be less fun since getting thrown around with them normally means your shoulders and/or head get knocked around whereas with a lap bar there's nothing to get slammed into.
@geogray1 Yeah, and both are actually only a 300 ft drop, but I305 is actually steeper than MF at 85 degrees.
This is the most intense coaster i've ever ridden. It literally kills Millenium Force.
AWESOME.
Front row is legit BEST seat since there aren't any other cars in front of you, you actually feel like you're falling
I love how twisty this coaster is, intamin sure did learn from mavericks success.
Haha, that's me and my bro in the blue shirts at 1:18 in that video!
this is actually like my fave coaster ever
Crazy intense coaster! I blacked out the first time! Love it though.
trims got removed bro. this ride is now more intense than both of the coasters you mentioned combined.
I rode it today its the best rollercoaster in the east coast
i am pround to live in the state that this is in.
@joshrexrode08: thanx 4 da heads up i am a coaster fanatic and i am go n to kings dominion and i will be ride n this ride.
305 ft, 92mph, beautiful
i was there 2 days ago....rode front and back....i liked the back seat the best
@oIIViiPeRIIo The trims were removed with the latest re-profile. They could go back on if the testing doesn't go as planned though.
this ride looks so cool! how tall do you have to be?
i've already been on it 78 times and i like the first drop but the first hill has trim brakes which sucks if it had more air time hills it would almost be as good as the millenium force or bizzaro both combined i have 1400 ride on them both. still a good ride:)
Still think Volcano is the best ride in the park, but this one is amazing! Hope you don't black out!
R.I.P Volcano
Only problem is the OTSR. Should've had lap bars instead.
No other ride in the world like this!
im going on this over the summer :D
Sometimes it looks like fast-forward when the train turn from the left to the right with high-speed...but is it really so fast? WOW^^
one of the best in the world love it so much I305
I freaking LOVE this ride. I think this might be my favorite roller coaster. The sad part was that I bumped my head a second before my picture was taken on it...
Fury 325 is the new giga coaster king now
Jake
Inimidator 305 still holds the crown in my mind!
Intimidator is way more intense
Giga coaster King.....of B&Ms
It's made by B&M, it's slower, and not as steep u raisin
Wow! This is a BIG hit! AHH! Can't wait to go ride it!
im plannning to go here in a few weeks is it easy to black out on one of the turns or twists
@acetoned76

its like the best ride ever
great ride!! my vision went gray for a couple of seconds after the first hill!!!
This ride is AWESOME. It shits all over millennium force lmao
Everyone Stops Screaming After The Drop, Right When They Hit That Turn. ( BLACK OUT!! ) xD Lol
@itsoscarYO then why do the wheels on millenium force last so long? or do they not?
how is the descent ? it looks very intense.
Very thrilling.
Thank you for Upload this.
I qioted this movie as suited scine for BGM
in my brog.
Haha, that's me and my bro in the blue shirts at 1:18 ! w00t!
did you ever consider getting on it?
now that is what you call a rollercoaster
It has a very cool sound to it im goin there in 2 weeks
305 feet! 83 or a 85 degree drop! thats like almost a stright drop! im so riding that thing!!
Wow that ride looks awesome. Damn I wanna ride that :)
Best roller coaster, my fav-one
oh my.. It's so fast... xD and the lifthill just looks insane
Those G forces are killer bro I can only imagine what our pilots endure
i wanna ride it, not only does it look awesome, but its inspired my the greatest nascar driver everr! Dale Earnhardt
@jimboguns Back seat it the best. You get whipped over so fast its insane!
I think they're making the second hill shorter so they can keep the rest of the ride at it's desired speed.
@hockybros how do you know? please post a link!
OMG, you have to see this one "Grown Man Freaks Out on Intimidator 305 Roller Coaster at Kings Dominion " LMAO!!!!
i think tht was my scream on 2:10 when it was like a scream then a quiet.
@F18Productions it still drops from the same height so how could the speed change?
this beast is so powerful.....
It looks like it's going much faster than it does now, even before the trim..
Awesome...
