Isbell's intelligence and kindness comes through whether in a song or during an interview. He is deserving of his success.
The LP is so solid. The man is a genius. Still confused why the record world wants to pigeon hole him into the Americana box. He’s as much Americana as Springsteen
The album is so deep and serious, so many heavy topics and the writing is amazing.
He did a nice job answering a lot of yes/no questions.
One of the best interviews I’ve seen in recent memory, with Jason or otherwise. Major props to Lyndsey, and to Jason for his honesty!

Great person, but no...people do not know what assault rifles are by definition, and if you don't have the facts you continue to not win the argument.
Your grandfather's ranch rifle was the same type rifle as an AR, but without the black "operator look" ,and when you make a law against that, they will move on to something worse. I'm not sayingnlet them have it their way, I am saying you have to be better at the facts than the gun enthusiast.
Having grown up with guns is not enough, you have to be more exacting to win this fight.
