Thank you! Rebrickable link on the way!
Yes please parts list!!! 😊
it looks so much better now!
Glad you like it!
Agreed, such an improvement!!!
Bro this is seriously impressive work! I'd written off this set as a display piece, but now you have me genuinely considering picking it up and following your mods...
Thank you! Loving the look on my shelf after modifying it
Wow. If I didn't want one from the Box image, Lego should Thank You for selling me on getting one. Yours is Truly Beautiful.
Thank you!
It actually looks so much better now! The proportions are so important for this ship in particular, I was pretty surprised with the Lego model ngl
Major improvement, convinced me to pick up the 2025 set! Last one I had was the 2005 version as a kid. Great job!
Thank you! Excited that it’s convinced you to pick it up 🎉
Man, probably the best mods I’ve seen for the ship so far nicely done!
Definitely let us know if you make a lil parts list or rebrickable instructions id love to make these changes myself :)
Thanks! I've never made a parts list/instructions for rebrickable but I'm looking into it!
@@NookBricks-z4v plz do 🙏
@@NookBricks-z4v please make a video on the mods for the Arc-170 as well as making the parts list and instructions on rebrickable so we can build these mods. I have 2 Naboo Star fighter sets. 1 from 2015 and another one from 2007 with the vulture droid and plan on hanging them up on my ceiling to look like a star fighter battle
I had no plans on buying this set but now I'm having second thoughts thanks to these mods...
Perfection. Seriously great job.
Thank you very much!
This is INCREADIBLE! These are the exact changes I was hoping to find (especially the engine cells you put them in so well and the fact they are both flush with the rest of the engine AND the side of the cockpit is just perfect).
I'd love to see a part 2 extending the heat dissipator wings as well (maybe also showing a potential wing design that puts the extra bricks on the large wing at the beginning vs center?) but this design is just perfect. When I get my hands on this set I'm definitely running to rebrickable for your design.
Thank you so much! Wings are definitely on my mind to keep tweaking - might not make it into V2 and the rebrickable instructions but I will update them as soon as I find the time :)
Great video dude! Hope to see more awesome content from you.
Thank you! Hopefully more to come :)
@ glad to hear it
Great video! Your modifications elevate the sets to a ucs level of accuracy and sleekness
Glad you like them!
Looks great!
this is great. I'd really like an instruction video on how to change the Lego version to your version
love the video bro!
Thank you!
This is how the official set should look like
I've been modifying my lego star wars sets for the past couple years and it honestly fxcking sucks that lego, proffesional lego designers, can't produce something we can and want
I totally get you, I have to remind myself that there are loads of contraints on the designers that we can't see, and I'm not sure my design would pass their quality assurance as a kid's playset - I wonder though if those contraints are too limiting these days, especially compared to the sets I grew up with - that said, I do love modifying them so unfortunately I'm still having fun hahaha
Cool video dude, that was one set I never got I always wanted to
Thinking about getting it this time round?
@ for the price the new one is… I’ll probably just go back and get one of the old ones and probably the original as that’s what I grew up seeing back in the day when revenge of the Sith came out.
The 2005 set is a golden oldie for sure 🙌
Just use the 12x3 wedge plates in white for all six wings, looks amazing that way, i did it on mine and the model real shines in proportions since ten. U just need 6 of them, but a bricklink order should do the trick.
Great idea! I’ll have to check how many of those I have (I think a fair few) and see if I can modify them in time for V2
Epic Build!
Great vid! I have also been doing the modifications over the past few days. One thing I'd suggest, at the very front, replace the 4x1 curved slope with a 3x1, that way you can also add a 1x1 tile or plate to represent the nose light like on the 2010 version.
Regarding the small wings, I have added a 1x6 tile and 2x6 wedge plate on top of each to extend them further into the engines and create the V shape the on-screen model has.
And another thing I must mention- the two stickers near the rear canon are completely wrong per instructions- if you check the actual ship their places should be swapped.
Thank you! I’ve been working on a new nose, will include it in my next update :) Will be thinking about what to do with the smaller wings too - and I knew something was off with the stickers when I was applying them 😢 will always double check source material when I’m using stickers in the future, shame Lego got that wrong! Not the end of the world though
Love the video dude!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice!
Love the modified form of the arc-170!
Thank you!
Awesome! Really feels like you and I were on the same page with these changes! I much prefer your solution to the engine intakes, especially with the lacquered parts, and I love that it's not a complete rework of the entire thing, just some needed improvements in the right areas :)
Hey! thanks so much for the encouragement, I’ve just gone and seen your video - absolutely love your design! Great minds think alike 😂 have you been able to build your mods since the set released?
@NookBricks-z4v I'm hoping to get the set soon I think! I've ended up really enjoying the set while working on modding it :)
Looks great
Just Subscribed! Great Video!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very nice modifications...actually considering on buying the ship to apply these modifications!
I often wait to buy sets until I've found the right modifications to apply right away!
The engine's arent a problem for me but im definitely going to modify the cannons. Over all though i am happy they made this, i never had the 2010 model so im happy this came out.
That’s fair! Cannons definitely had to go 😂
Really great job. Looks much better. They should have left the cannons alone.
PLEASE do a step by step tutorial for those cannons, they look so good
Thank you! Will hopefully find some time this week to put something together so keep an eye out!
Any parts list or in depth assembly video?
Rebrickable link in the works! Subscribe to stay in the loop ;)
@ absolutely!
The stand for the model looks really great too. Did you come up with this design yourself and can you share in a future video?
I did yeah, I make all my own stands - I’ll make sure to showcase it in the next video :)
The front engines of the new model really bothered me. Your version looks so much better.
Awesome, if you could release a part list for all your modifications that’d be much appreciated!
Working on it!
You are a genius
Hahaha there are definitely some more impressive ones out there but thank you 😂
Need those canons builds asap!
Parts/tutorial are on their way!
nice
Any consideration for paneling off the tops of the heat wings? The round disk at the end sticks out like a sore thumb IMO and making it all flush might help
I just got the set Imma do these mods with similar pieces, you should do a video showing how to do your stands. Thx for the ideas
Thanks! Will show the stand more in my next video
Definitely need a proper tutorial and parts list so I can do this to mine!
Subscribe so you don’t miss out!
It would be amazing if you could make instructions for this. It's really good!
Instructions are in the works! I’ve actually made a few updates in the meantime so expect instructions and a new video later in the week :)
I'm not a big fan of modifying sets usually, but I'm also not a fan of the new official arc 170 model. I was planning on skipping it, but with these mods I might just pick one up after all
Let me know if you do!
@@NookBricks-z4vI just might. Do you have a parts list/instructions?
Lego Star Wars : “Only the best is good enough.” Lego SW fans frequently having to add to or mod their lackluster designed sets, which have increased DRASTICALLY in price within the last 4-5 years. Yet quality, size, and detail have been compromised. I love Lego because when I’m finally old enough to afford their toys and collectibles the builds are worse than the ones from 12 years ago when I was a kid 💀
I like everything except the engines, those red curved slopes are super hard to find
I know, not ideal for an easy fix but I struggled to find a better alternative at this scale :( worth the search though for me!
Love ityt
Step one: make it 35€
Unfortunately my Lego set modification skills are not that magical - but that would be lovely 😂
Well done!
