So proud of you. As someone who also deals with "intermittent " alopecia in the same spot, I just want you to know how brave I see you to be. Sending love and light to your beautiful soul. You have no idea how much you've helped me through. Keep up the wonderful work! Love a long time lurker and recent subbie!
@@Taj-Mahal I think it differs from person to person, however; mine is from stress. That spot constantly reminds me to "get my life," and evaluate what's stressing me out.
This was so helpful! I suffered a few losses lately and lost my job and all of the stress has made a bunch of my hair fall out. And the stress of losing hair is making my hair worse...it's an endless cycle 😞
You got this. It will help alot of people. My daughter's has a small bald spot from alopecia areata. It was first two large quarters next to eachother big on the side of her head. This was in August. Now it's finally grown mostly in. We got medication from the dermatologist. She also suggested trying to use powder to fill it in. I used her own hair to braid in funky styles until we can now for the first time do box braids again. You got this Daniel. Much love from the Netherlands.
I've a few experiences with AA and it's super discouraging. It started after I got a big chop so my hair was already centimeter length then I started balding too... oof. Mine have grown in a lot but are still considerably shorter than the rest of my hair. Super happy to hear that your daughter's hair has mostly grown in! Spot treatments help a ton.
I had alopecia on my beard and would wake up the next day with patches missing overnight!! I was crushed and hurt and confused because at 1st I didn’t know what was going on until someone actually told me that it was in fact Alopecia. I tried everything that I could and nothing worked at all and I was still smooth as a baby’s bottom in some areas from a full thick beard!! I found some guy name Mike Cooper on RUclips swearing on using garlic cloves and rubbing the garlic on the affected areas for 10 mins. I thought garlic eww at 1st, I would smell all day but also was so desperate for anything to work at the same time that I gave it a try, even bought organic lol. I would squeeze every bit of juice into my beard and rub the cloves on my bald spots making sure to get it directly in those areas and BAM my hair actually started to grow back! I was going to shave it all off but garlic turned it completely around 110% and now I swear on it myself! My length has since grew to matched the rest of my beard and nobody wouldn’t ever know if I didn’t tell them. I would do it before bed and leave it in overnight and wash it out in the morning and be fine without a smell so get a separate pillow and a silk or satin scarf just for this btw. I can’t make this stuff up but I urge anyone with this condition to PLEASE give it a try if you hadn’t already, Please!! & best of luck as well, LOVE
As an older woman I'm so impressed with the way look and dress, no extreme makeup, no showing off your body , please stay as you are, you are a natural beauty.
I don’t think you understand how much is a backhanded compliment this really is please let women do what they want that makes them feel confident?? not everybody cares about male validation
I feel like this whole video is just pure ✨ 🐶. The jokes, the edits, the music, the overall energy. Granted, every video is "you" but I feel like you're firing on all cylinders again. It's just great to see you shining in your content ONCE AGAIN.
I'm def using the tension method (it was news to me) and your braid-out strand separation technique! Watching your videos the past couple of years have helped me transition from going to a hair dresser's and geetting my hair pressed before the pandemic to being able to make it through the pandemic with length and natural curls! Ty, ty, ty for sharing what you know about 4c hair. I'm learning so much from you 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙏🏽🙏🏽
I just came to say your soo cute Danielle! Also, I really appreciate the realistic content. I love how you share the ups and downs of your journey, and how to cope when things are going well and even not so well. It's really needed in the natural hair community!
I have bald stops there too. I used to watch your videos when your hair was much shorter and you’d be so frustrated 😅 I’m just glad you didn’t give up on it. It’s amazing 🎉
It’s not bald anymore. It’s growing back in. Take some probiotics everyday. That might get it growing faster, bcuz hair loss is rooted in the gut flora, and imbalances or bad bacteria there.
I don’t know what happened to your hair that would’ve raised the porosity, but you might be able to lower it by using a sealing shampoo. I used to have high porosity hair until I started using Design Essentials Honey Creme shampoo that claims to “seal cuticles” on the label. I didn’t think a shampoo could do that, but it’s the only thing that changed in my routine around the time I started noticing a change in porosity🤷🏾♀️ As for thinning spots, I have the same issue around my temples. If your hair fall comes from stress/anxiety, Ashwagandha supplements have really helped me in this department by balancing my cortisol levels and reducing my shedding overall. I was skeptical about zinc supplements because a suspiciously high number of folks on social media were raving about it, but I might just be a believer now. My temples and crown get really sore for some reason, but I haven’t felt it since I started taking zinc (with a source of animal protein for max absorption) a few weeks ago. Externally, the only other interventions I love are rosemary water rinses (as a final scalp rinse on wash day), green tea spritzes (once or twice throughout the week; the caffeine blocks dht), Nizoral shampoo (ketoconazole blocks dht, cleans, and soothes my itchy scalp), and pre-pooing my scalp overnight with amla powder + fenugreek powder steeped in olive and coconut oils, plus a few drops of rosemary oil. I realize everyone’s not looking for a magic fix, so by all means, ignore the hell out my comment if you want to! 😆 I’m just throwing out some ideas in case you or anyone else could benefit ❤
I love your videos about hair lost. I suffer from aleopia as well for about 5 years now. Over the years, it got really bad. To top it off, I got pregnant in 2021, so my hair went in sleep mode. When it woke up after I had my son, it was a mess. So I chopped most of it off, I was embarrassed at first, but I embraced it now. It has grown back a little with some things I have done. I have short hair, so sometimes it's hard to cover up my (I need extra love spot), so sometimes I do sometimes I don't. Thank you so much for giving us confidence!
I have experience a bald crown least 3 times over the last 10 years. I have grown it back each time. DON’T let anyone tell you it’s permanent if it is not smooth.
the scream I scrumpt at 14:10 because my braid outs do that to me all the time😂😂...also hey Danielle, I wanted to ask what the difference is between this new dryer and the Dyson as you've used both. Or rather, which would you prefer?
Please don’t stop making videos and selling those cute pillowssssss pleaseee💗💗💗💗🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾🤝🏾 always happy to see your face on RUclips!!! It’s a breathe of fresh air seeing other black girls with my personality and styleeee😭😭💗💗💗 you will be missed😢😢 I took out my locs cause you made me miss my fro baby 😭😭also caused I missed her too but watching your videosss are everything 😭😭💗💗💗💗 hope you’re doing amazing tho, come back whenever you’re ready to be seen 💗💗
Lmfao I just love your channel so much. I just bought that sunflower clip from SheIn too lol❤ getting ready to take my natural hair back out and trim a LOT of dead ends off and be a bald headed skittle diddle til it grows back
Vraiment utile, je vais utiliser cette méthode pour mes tempes cette année (sans sèche-cheveux par contre) et acheter des nouveaux accessoires en satin ❤
My hair became high porosity from leaving in "protective" styles back to back for years.. I had tension and dehydration damage.. My only fix was for me to big chop.. So I commend your commitment and patience as you nurse your hair back.. I couldn't wait, so big chop it was..😅❤
So there’s this oil I use called “frobelle Naturale moisture enriching hair growth oil”, and it’s really helping my edges grow back. Pretty sure I’ve developed traction alopecia over the years because of excessive pulling. I know your alopecia is different, but maybe this could help with it.
I understand you want longer hair, however a tapered look would be very flattering. That being said, your personality definitely eclipses any hair style. Good luck with the journey.
Having alopecia I’m sure is a struggle. But overall for anyone, I think once u let go of need to have long hair, you’ll find freedom in your hair. One of things of being natural, it starts to feel like your a slave to your own hair. Free yourself
300.00 for a blow dryer when you could just buy the revair & do way less and in less time. I appreciate you getting your coins but don’t try to over sell us a 300.00+ dream when it does the exact same thing as a 40.00 blow dryer 😂
I would watch your videos if you were bald. Your so funny, intelligent and beautiful and your skin is just giving
I agree! Your Star Puppy Energy is EVERYTHING!! ⭐️❤⭐️❤️⭐️

What causes the alopecia in that area?

Did you use the music from Arthur? Lol. I'm glad you're doing this video.
Do you use hair pics trying to decided if they are damaging more then helping

We can't see the bald spot even without the scrunched. You're so used to your hair that you don't realize how thick it still looks
