I was raised not to just wonder about people when they "randomly" pop into your head, but to pray for them. This was the case a few weeks ago with you, Danielle, and I am thrilled to see that you are well and that your hair is flourishing. All the best in 2024 and beyond, sis.
Chile yes! Even leaving a message on the prior video to see if she's okay! She is one of my favorites in the natural hair community who have similar vibes and interests in books and animations!
Danielle, I’ve been following you since 2018, when I first began my natural hair journey. I was only 14 at the time and now I’ll be turning 20 in just a couple of days. I know this doesn’t relate to the contents of the video very much, but I wanted to thank you for being you. I grew up in an environment where anyone who liked anything from the “black norm” was ostracized or called weird. Seeing a black girl/woman be herself and unapologetically showcase her interests was so amazing for me as I developed. You are so beautiful and important and integral. Love you lots 💕
Yes I'm getting frustrated with my hair as well mostly because of life, but I can't let it get to me. I also agree with her being who she is. I'm weird like her and it's nice to see someone who's not afraid of it.
THIS MESSAGE^^^ All my life, felt like I have to feed into the "Black girl" stereotype...big butt, nice hair, glowing skin, not brown[never felt light enough or dark enough] and though at 35 I am still learning to love myself for who I am, I can say I have let go of the "perfect hair" dreams. I have balding in the front of my hair, so challenging for me to hide it and its like the first thing you see. I just pray that we can move past this, that not only men deal with hair loss issues, women do as well even though its not "medically" or "socially" expected, it happens and we should not be made to feel subhuman bc of it. Thank you for this comment! It's helped more people than you realize! 🤍
I stopped using shampoo and all hair products and my alopecia healed❤ I use ACV to wash my scalp once a week and I use african black soap once a month. I am finally retaining length again thank you Jesus!
Im so glad to see you back! I have Sickle Cell so I totally understand how stress affects ones body. I really struggle with hair setbacks when I'm having a crisis. Hopefully I lve finally figured out how to preserve my hair when I can't take care of myself. Odd side note: You should be cast as Kyle Barker & Maxine Shaw's daughter if Living Single is ever rebooted. You not only resemble them physically, but I believe they'd rause a child like you, who is proud to be Black & is an artistic, educated, free spirit..
OMG you're so right about the Living Single thing! I knew she resembled someone, I just could never put my finger on it. I totally agree! And Maxine is my crush in that show. 😊
@EpicRealistTV Yes, I was trying to place her too, as she always felt familiar. I'm glad I'm not the only one who can imagine it. They're all so beautiful.
I'm a thalessemia carrier and at this stage I want to shave it off and spend the time, money and mental energy on something else that I'm not genetically predisposed to lose every time I feel stressed. Stress is a normal part of life but no one normalises hair loss.
@marleyhill34 That's very true. There's so much of an obsession with hair in the Black community that people rarely offer compassion to those dealing with hair loss or other hair issues. So many choose to judge 1st. I wish you the best possible outcome on your health & hair journey. I hope you can find a solution that makes you feel confident & exquisite.
So glad to see your gorgeous face and to see you’re feeling better. I’m actually ok with less hair content especially if it’s harming our beloved fluffnugget. I just love your positivity and humor so I’ll make more of an effort to see your nerdpuppy videos.
I go through the same thing. I'm a thalessemia carrier and I have neurodivergent stress and I live somewhere with little to no sunight for most of the year. Every year my hair falls out....Mostly in my crown but it falls out in other places too. it usually grows back but I'm exhasuted and need a break from it too. People who only have hair loss from not looking after their hair or damaging styles have no idea what the other reasons for hair loss are like. They basically try to gaslight us into thinking that we are doing something wrong...when we take far better care of our hair than most people. It's just that we have this genetic weakness. And in modern life, you can't avoid stress at all!!
I use Curology and this is the best my skin has looked since I was maybe 9 or 10,. I'm 55 years old now and it helped with acne, acne marks and fine wrinkles. I missed you young lady
YAAAAY SHE’S BACK. I feel like as content creators we HAVE to have that very needed rest our bodies and “mentalies” need. No matter how long. Glad to see your hair is thriving again. Gonna check out that second channel. 💖🫰🏾
Whew I immediately started crying because currently going through the same thing. The rest of the hair flourishes, but that crown????? 😢 But it’s good to see you back and sharing your experience.
Have you thought about changing the order of your hair care? Like if you are doing a wash and go and you start by placing product on the sides of your hair, start at the crown instead? I noticed that my crown is drier, so it needs more attention while it's wetter instead of allowing it to dry out while I'm paying attention to other areas first. For some reason, spraying it down just isn't the same as caring for it fresh out the shower.
It's such a relief to know that you are okay. I was frequently visiting the channel to check for updates. Your hair seems so healthy and beautiful 🤭 Best wishes from Brazil ❤
Dang when you said OG, it made me realize I've been following for over 6 years @_@ sheesh time is flying. I remember when you started the outro (I also hold my arms up and say away lmao). I dont even have loose natural hair anymore (sisterlocks now 4 years in). I still love all your content and you!!
I've been here since 2019 and Fluff Nugget has definitely come a long way 💜 I've learned I have tension alopecia due to so many protective styles(braids) and me pulling my hair back for work 😬 So now I have a mohawk but I'm glad I learned about a lot of oils from you and have a guide to my hair growth. Thank you so much for helping me through my loose natural hair journey 🤗 I'm officially locced now but I will always stay tuned just for black hair care content and to support another nerdy black woman! Keep going and overcoming 🥰💖✨️
I also got a unintentional mohawk last year, I don't have traction alopecia (yet) but my hair is very fragile and decided to break in half when I decided to love my own hair and started doing some very basic natural hairstyles for the first time in my life. It's so nice finding other people with the similar hair so I don't feel alone, unfortunately 4 type hair is SO DIFFICULT to deal with, I never feel like it's happy
You posted this video right when I needed to see it! I’m getting so frustrated with my hair, but your video really made me take a moment and see that hair has its own ebbs and flows and it will be ok. I also wanted to say I got to meet you at momocon this past year and honestly, it impacted me so much. Thank you for being so sweet!! I genuinely lit up when I saw you walk past me and despite my social anxiety, I forced myself to walk up to you because I couldn’t give up the opportunity to tell you how much your content has helped and positively impacted me. It’s lovely to see other nerdy black girl in a space when you feel so alone. So thank you! ♥️
I have trichotillomania and struggle with my self-image because of bald patches on my scalp and facial hair. Seeing the progress your hair has made during your recovery is really, really encouraging. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us and wishing you a wonderful year ahead!
WELCOME BACK AND HAPPY NEW YEARS🎉 im glad you took a needed break to reset your stress! Fluffnugget is looking amazing! You have a lot of growth in your journey! Happy that you focused on your health!
Anemia will absolutely drop your hair from the root. My arch nemesis for sure. Seamoss and joy are helping. I big chopped because it was looking dumb and making me sad but it’s coming back like a chefs kiss!
I was also diagnosed with Alopecia fairly recently. I’ve been subscribed for years but it’s nice to see someone with similar struggles. Recently it just ejects itself whenever I try to grow it out past a certain length 😭
Damn.... this hits in the feelings. I was diagnosed with lupus this year and I hate my natural hair. I have a big spot and is not growing as it used to. It's also attacking my skin. So have no motivation to take care of non of this.
My Alopecia Areata came from having Covid. I looked like a dog 🐕 with the mange. Two years later, after the Dermatologist lab said it wasn't going to grow back, surprisingly to EVERYONE it grew back.
StarPuppy, your fluff nugget will flourish again! A good hair tip is to use betaine on wash day. Betaine is the true moisturizer for dry hair and scalp that prevents tangles, breakage but many naturals do not know about it. Ytube vid: betaine hair moisturizer
i'm w/ you, in that lol Last year i lost soo much hair due to stress (i'm a alopecia sister, but mine is androgenetic) and i'm SO happy to see you back and happy like that!! Not only about your hair (which is amazing, tho), but with you being able to reconnect with yourself, slow down and take your time. wish you this 2024 historiaclly amazing things, Danielle ♡
I have experienced several bouts of telogen effluvium from stress, products and just life. I'm thankful to Jesus it grew back (2yrs since the last episode). As hard as it was, I've just decentralized hair. I don't worry about growth or length, just doing the basics, focusing on health and thankful for every strand. Yes, your skin is beautiful!
Hey beautiful. Self love is the best love. I've been healing and resting too. My 4c hair betrayed me yet again and I did another BC after 4 years. Fluff Nugget will always recover. I'm glad you're feeling good again to do hair content. ❤
Awe I needed this content today ❤️ it felt like a good catch up with an old friend and made me also think about how much my life has changed since I last watched your videos 😊 wishing you the most beautiful growth journey beloved! 🥰
Soursop dandelion root bitters iron vitamind deficiency hmmm some content doesn’t need to be shared with the public eye most discovery is needed. in times stress healing and recovery is needed so we isolate to recreate and find happiness again quietly record and show what you have learned overtime all in a all you did the right thing sometimes we get a setback and the journey needs to be done alone WITHOUT OVERsharing everything at once but eventually glad to you see you are back ☺️❤ you’re doing great 😊
You are absolutely beautiful. The entire video I was mesmerized. Congrats on being at a better place mentally and physically. Looking forward to the challenge as well.

Oh man ur right
@tmhaddock, from today I’m just going to do the same. Thank you for sharing.
I was just think about her the past fee days and then she returns!
Chile yes! Even leaving a message on the prior video to see if she's okay! She is one of my favorites in the natural hair community who have similar vibes and interests in books and animations!
Thanks for sharing this. It encourages me to do the same🙏🏾❤
You're aliveeeee!!!!! You were terribly missed 💖

What a lovely message, I hope she reads it one day x

Happy Belated birthday, darling!!
Diet and stress management so important when it comes to hair thickness and growth. Take good care of yourself my love I know I’m trying
Looks like that break was much needed because fluff nugget looks amazing 😍😍 and so do YOU!
I stopped using shampoo and all hair products and my alopecia healed❤ I use ACV to wash my scalp once a week and I use african black soap once a month. I am finally retaining length again thank you Jesus!
May I ask what you use to seal moisture in your hair?
Your hair looks so much healthier, fuller, so beautiful!

If you wear slickbacks they will definately cause that😢
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Yes, child! We already know what to do what we have been doing! Glad to have you back, Baby ❤❤
I’m so proud of you for taking a step back to heal and find yourself again! Your hair looks amazing 💜
You look so happy! It’s good to see you back!
Actually, I don't hate that line. "Call him coyote because he be wylin"... I think we can workshop that
It's such a relief to know that you are okay.

I know you have mentioned in previous videos that you also deal with Trichotillomania. Did that have an impact on your growth this time around?
Missed you and glad you’re doing well!! Your hair is growing and looks so great 🥰 just flourishing 🤗

i'm w/ you, in that lol
