Alot of folks don't realize that texture (fine, medium, coarse) refers to the diameter of your hair shaft, NOT how your hair feels when you touch it--which is more related to curl pattern, porosity, and moisturization. Also, there's a difference between texture (the size of the tree trunks) and density (the NUMBER of trees in the forest). You can have 4c, fine, high density hair, so you have ALOT of hairs on your head, they are tightly coiled, AND each individual hair has a thin diameter.
No. Thickness is fine , medium, course. Texture is spongy, silky, thready, cottony, wiry. People confuse it with hair type. The misinformation is exhausting.
I'm glad you mention not doing length checks! for me personally, I find that it's a strange concept. My mind compared it to weighing myself obsessively for a healthy weight. I didn't want to get obsessed with measuring my hair. Pictures were a healthy alternative to me than numbers.

Braids and oils have really worked for me. When I box-braid however I keep them in for minimum 1 month, maximum 2 so that I do not manipulate as much. My black castor oils are used on my scalp and ends. My hair has looked the best it has in years. I avoid using gel to manipulate my edges as well.
I LOVE your quirky self oh my goodness !! I will definitely do more natural products, I too love me some aloe Vera. I usually use it on my face and it is love ❤️
Oh! I was ready about that sunscreen then I looked it up. The active sunscreen ingredient is avobenzone. That's GOOD! That's the ingredient you want to use. It's one of the few that DOES NOT cause chemical hormonal changes to the body. I'm actually going to buy it now. Thank you for making me aware of that product line!
I confused avobenzone with the chemical that sparked sunscreen recalls (benzene). What I ended up finding is that avobenzone isn't bad by itself. However, it breaks down too fast and so it is paired with chemicals that are endocrine and estrogen disrupters (octocrylene and homosalate). Tula has homosalate. I also double checked my Black Girl Sunscreen and yeah ... Might be shopping around for a different sunscreen, IF there are any completely safe ones out there.
Yes please, bring it back! And I would love for you to talk about managing finances while still living your life because, wooh...some of us are taking a beating... Also, thank you. You genuinely make my day brighter.

I buy like a pound for a 3.99 USD though I don't know if its different in your city

You are so beautiful, quirky, unique, and engaging (things I aspire to be fall very short). I really like your channel and yes, I subscribed a couple of months ago. I had sudden crown balding in late 2018/early 2019. Not round patches but long and irregular shaped. I think it was because I left hair bleach on my scalp for too long (30 mins) and/or because I hit the top of my head on a doorframe. Scalp was sore, sensitive, and inflamed. I cut my hair off immediately to focus on my scalp, but that was a mistake when going to the dr because then she couldn't see the baldness and my scalp didn't look damaged. She prescribed an antifungal corticosteroid, triamcinolone acetone. It worked! But its only through prescription and after giving me 3 small tubes she didn't wanna prescribe anymore. The balding, soreness, and inflammation came back about two months after using my last tube of triamcinolone acetone. Antibiotic ointment helped but I didn't like petroleum base, so I made my own with peppermint oil, camphor, beeswax, rosemary, and other EOs and carrier oils. My head is almost numb to the tingling sensation but I can feel it and it seems to be working. I don't like plain oils, I like a natural cream or grease base consistency for my 3c/4a hair and scalp.
I could really use your help. My hair used to be thickish, now I can see my scalp. I have tried everything I can think of. I came across your video & your are hilarious & educational. Fluff Nugget has come a long way. PLEASE HELP.

I started with a lot of heat damage, but I never cut my hair for the first 2 years I think. Now I haven't been using anything from the dollar store this year and my hair has grown 3 inches since the end of May when I straightened it and cut off 3 inches 🤯 I don't eat healthy at all or drink enough water but my hair has gone from shoulder-length to half way down my back in these 5 years

I highly recommend black girl sunscreen. Been using it for years now. Black woman owned business 😜💪🏾😉🥰
You. Look. Radiant. Continue to be good and care for our Daniel. God bless and see you when we see ya!!! ❤️
You’re giving all these amazing tips and talking about your hair journey and I’m just looking at your skin and cheekbones like🤤🤤🤤
Yaaaaassssss! I love #3 - MANIFESTATION!!!! Dani! We are so proud of you. Soooo muuch growth and weirdness! :)
I LOVE your quirky self oh my goodness !! I will definitely do more natural products, I too love me some aloe Vera. I usually use it on my face and it is love ❤️
i feel you on the wigs lol i used to wear them all the time and looking back i’m like howww
You radiate beauty, inside and out. I enjoy your videos so much!
I loooooooove her skin😻 I ALWAYS admire it❤️
I love your hair in that style. Pretty, pretty.
I agree with all of you said lmao especially about the aloe vera. since I started using it, my hair really flourished 🥺
do u use aloe vera juice or different kind of hair products?
The hair tips are much appreciated…but girl your cheekbones are beautiful 😍
Yes please, bring it back! And I would love for you to talk about managing finances while still living your life because, wooh...some of us are taking a beating... Also, thank you. You genuinely make my day brighter.
StarPuppy, you're one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. And also, you have a perfect ASMR voice!
I am trying the oils you mentioned in a previous video to see if will help to grow a bald spot I have in the top of my head back. My fingers are crossed!
I hope all goes well😁
Massaging your skull is also a god thing for circulation…
what are the names lf those oils
@@tsuyuasui7297 it was in her previous video of Danielle fixing her bald spot
I love Fluffy Nugget. I'm glad she is healthy and flourishing. 🤗🤗🥰🥰
Congrats Girl.
I have Alopecia. mine has been for years.
The length you envision for yourself is great.
I am starting to doc. mine here on RUclips!
Good job on achieving so much!!
I love listening to you when I’m doing my hair. It makes the process seem more enjoyable! Danielle is hell a cool even though I’m a little bit older than her I wish more people were like her.
"Wigs take my lunch money." 😂😂
I grew a hibiscus plant for about 3 years, very robust plant, however I will say that it doesn't flower for a very long time (and I felt terrible everytime I cut the beautiful flowers)
You could purchase dried hibiscus from hispanic/latino stores, if you go looking for it ask for "jamaica" (hah-my-cah), or "té de jamaica". I buy like a pound for a 3.99 USD though I don't know if its different in your city
I watched Castlevania on your recommendation and it was AMAZING but also so violent omg. So I am always down for your “what Danielle likes” content :)
Oh my god your natural complexion... just radiant, even and beautiful. 😍
So many quotables and so much knowlege and joy came from this video. Thank you.
Aaaaaye! Afro Samurai! Was my fro goals too! lol!
I would love to see a passion twist tutorial 😲
Not TULA with the jaw chop lol 😂 I’m dead…you crazy funny
What phenomenal energy you encompass ‼️. Ase’
so we got ourselves a PROTECTIVE STYLE🥰🥰🥰🥰IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A LLONGG WHILE DOLL.
I FEEL you about having thin strands.
I have 4a, naturally thick, naturally high porosity hair because my strands are so fine! I wish so much that I had more coarse strands 😭 but accepting that I have to be like overly and insanely gentle with my hair is part of accepting and loving my hair💕 fine strands gotta stick together (literally they always tangled)
I love your scrunchie!
I loved my hair gave her a name and developed a relationship with her credit to watching you. It was like a moment of reflection for me.. I had no hairline and now I have a full head of healthy hair almost strap level.. I would say attitude is everything.. When you love sth you take care of it..
I absolutely love your rosy cheeks 😍, keep shining daniel you're such inspiration 🌠🌠
I want really thick and long hair but I didn’t get it from any of my parents🙁 I feel like genetics play a huge role. Also, even before fluff nugget was fluffy I got the idea that you’re meant to have thick hair mostly because your eyebrows gave it away. I try to be positive and to find routines for my hair type but it’s hard when you always have to try like 50 times more than other people for the same result (sometimes less lol).
I have 4c hair and I one day had a genius idea to stop prepping my hair with water in a spray and instead use aloe Vera water (jug at Walmart) and my hair absolutely ABSOLUTELY response sooooooOo well and then I spray my face and body when I get out the shower (tmi) so yea dope
thanks, I'm going to try that? did u add water to it
@@honeycomb4073 so it’s actually called aloe juice it cost about $10 at Walmart.. And I use it as is no water added try it your hair will love you for it
@@winterfoxx2727 thank you! sure will try it, good looking out👍🏽🤗
Takes hard work and dedication. Congratulations
Yes, sunscreen is a great to wear every day!! My husband was cleaning up after the hurricane out side, and in a few days his skin became hard and chaff!
He is a milk chocolate man!
"let's be victorious together" that part was so unexpected, it took me out 😂😂😂
I looooooove your intro! I sing along every time 🤗😬
You’re not alone..🤣🤣🤣🤣😎😎😎😍😍😍
I adore this girl! She's my kind of dorky people!
GuurrrllllAAHHH Aloe Gel changed the game I feel you on every level I love love love Aloe Vera Gel on my 4C natural hair and body!!! It changed the game in my natural hair routine. BTW your skin is popping I will be getting TULA! Thank you sis
You have a beautiful personality ❤️
I read, "I shaved my hair" and had a mini heart attack
Same 😅
I really saw the same thing. I’m scrolling through the video like when did fluff nugget get cut bc......😂😂😂
Same.. I panicked.. lol
Glad I'm not the only one😅
Same lol
I love your energy!!!!!!!!!!
That intro was probably one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a minute 🥺✨
How tf you do twists in 45 mins 😲
Takes me 2 days, even if I do crochet. I don't get it 😫😭😫
Hell nah even when I had shoulder length hair I needed at least 1-1.5 hrs wow
Just believe and you can do it. Źzzzzzzeeeeeennnnn.
I laugh when I see your vlogs You are talented and you have a stand up comedian in you
You are so beautiful, quirky, unique, and engaging (things I aspire to be fall very short).
Your videos are so much fun and so very informative. Keep up the awesome work. Also, your hair truly looks amazing!
Pink couch!!!?? Of course you have a pink couch. Of course.
Love it.
I saw that 😄
I love your humor! Up beat fun way of getting info out! Thx
So happy you and Fluff Nugget are flourishing! I see you!!! Your hair looks great! Yet, the "so much work" that you've mentioned is precisely why I've put a pause my quest for the perfect wash-n-go! Happy hair vlogging!
i am SO HAPPY TO HEAR ABOUT HOW YOUR HAIR IS DOING! (i'm a patron but i hardly have time to watch you regularly!) catching up on what you have going on in video form is so heartwarming and YES GIRL you deserve. YOU DESERVE!
Thanks for the laughter and for making me smile 😊 I love your videos💝 You are such an inspiration! Don't ever stop🛑
I used to only use products from the dollar store but I always had some nice deep conditioners when I started my hair journey (it's been 5 years). I started with a lot of heat damage, but I never cut my hair for the first 2 years I think. Now I haven't been using anything from the dollar store this year and my hair has grown 3 inches since the end of May when I straightened it and cut off 3 inches 🤯 I don't eat healthy at all or drink enough water but my hair has gone from shoulder-length to half way down my back in these 5 years
Love the poofy hair scrunchie just like back in the day
I literally love these passion twists sooooo much
This is delightful! Thank you for sharing, especially about goals. I found working on my goalsetting to be transformational. Never occurred to me to apply it to my hair. Your skin looks like melted chocolate and/or satin.
My hair is nothing like yours, but watching you learning to understand and love your hair makes me so happy! Thank you for the awesome content. Also, I love your 20 series. That kind of things are not talked about enough.
Aloe Vera, hibiscus, and other Ayurvedic herbs have been game changers for me! Still a work in progress but I’m going in the right direction.
I LOVE ALOE VERA! One Love 💕
I never believed in measuring hair mainly because I’m lazy but now I see the growth without needing a tape. And one thing is I don’t really believe in trimming too. But to each their own. Alhamdulillah
Try out a rhassoul, kaolin or bentonite clay mask with oils, essential oils, Ayurvedic powders and an acidic liquid like apple cider vinegar, Aloe Vera juice or hibiscus tea. It will step up your game! ❤️😍 I'm here for waist length too.❤️
I just love your personality and sense of humor. ☺️
I LOVE your energy! Been going through a transition with my hair and it’s been a struggle. So glad I came across your video and page.
Your hair is looking beautifully healthy and so is your skin. Just gorgeous!!
If anyone is interested Bri Hall has a herbal hair growth oil recipe. Ive made it myself and its very hydrating (which I never thought an oil could be) It includes all the herbs star puppy also mentioned in the video
Just shaved my head today!!! Needed this!!!
We all read the title wrong 💀💀
@@fedorah8315 i know right, I read shaved loool
😭😭😭
Thank you for reminding me to buy new sunscreen. I'd been using Neutrogena, not one of the ones that had been recalled, but my aunt (a nurse) had already told me to switch to something without oxybenzone because of my eczema, so I figure the recall is my sign to actually listen to her.
Have you tried Black Girl Sunscreen?
I absolutely love your personality! Thank you for your channel💖
I love watching your videos! They make me happier and I love your energy 💫💯
