Honestly, when they sent it to me I was expecting it to be kinda flimsy, yet their products keep punching above their weight! Interesting that you've noticed the issue with the effects, hopefully they'll look into that.
Good content! Have you compared this to their Sprite 40 offering? Trying to figure out which one to get and can't make heads or tails out of which one is best.
Hi there. I haven’t compared the two of those I’m afraid so I can’t advise on that. What I would say is if you’ve check out reviews on that other light and it seems to be good on the technical side of things you have to ask yourself which product is better suited to you and your current needs / workflow. Make your decision based on that.
Do you (or anyone) know if it retains the colour settings when switched off and then back on (I want to know because I'm thinking about using one as an enlarger light where the exposure duration is controlled by the power source switching on and off).
Definitely would recommend for a beginner but if you’re planning on lighting faces, I would also recommend picking up a decent sized pop up diffuser which would also require a second stand.
like the way you demo

Would you reccomend this light to a beginner filmmaker? I'm looking for an affordable lighting setup and this product caught my attention
