Been 3-4 months since I started at first I was at 55-60 WPM as an average speed now I am at 90-100. for those of you who think its not possible to increase typing speed in a couple months and that it takes years of practice. Try not looking at your keyboard while typing even if you are not at 70 or 80 if you are above 50 WPM speed start typing without looking at the keyboard it will start to grow rapidly

I've been touch typing for a few months and I can say that more you practice , it reaches a state that your fingers develop muscle memory and while typing it's kind of a direct coordination between eyes and fingers...before your brain would even process , your fingers just type them!

I recently have been getting into competitive typing and good lord people are fast! I cap out around 90, sometimes 100 if im just on fire and usually after I just woke up and haven't been typing all day. It's weird, I benefit greatly from a short warmup after not typing, but I slowly get more and more errors as the typing session goes on. I find that fixing my errors is probably the biggest thing that will increase my speed.
