    Would you suggest taking Pharm for Health Professionals BEFORE I start Nursing School?

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  2 года назад

      Roberta Burke, the best thing you can do is reach out to your program (a student if possible) and get their opinion on it. Each program is different, so seeing how in depth your program goes into pharm will be helpful to gauge if that course would be a benefit for you before you start your nursing courses!

    Do you provide private tutoring about nclex?

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  2 года назад

      Thank you for being here, Nur! 😊 We don't offer any private tutoring at this time. BUT inside the NursingSOS Membership, we have a really great option to get all your questions answered.
      We have a tutor form where you can submit specific questions that you are getting stuck on or if you just want an easier step-by-step breakdown of a topic. Then a nurse on our team will get back to you with a personal video explanation within 24 hours, (yes you read that right!).
      Have a question, submit a Tutor Form, and a nurse from our team will get you an answer!
      This is SUPER helpful!
      So don't worry, even though we do not have 1:1 tutoring, we are there to support you every step of the way. :)

    Is there's a guide anywhere online with the drug classifications and their MOAs like the red section in your Davis's textbook. My Mosby's doesn't have this SUPER USEFUL section and don't want to buy a whole new book just for one section.... I've been looking everywhere for one... 💛💛💛

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  3 года назад

      Sarah Jolliffe, we haven't heard if there is a place where you can purchase the classifications along with their MOA, but the Davis drug guide is worth the investment! We absolutely LOVE it!!! And it is useful after your schooling is done too! :

    But don’t you still need to remember that those specific drugs belong to the class?? Unless they share the same suffix but what if they don’t??

    What about the medications that work for more than one thing? For example it can be classified as an anti seizure med and antidepressant or antianxiety how would I classify these types of meds? Should I make flashcards and include them in both or if we are talking about anxiety and it’s also a seizure med just include it with the anxiety meds?

    • @NursingSOS
      @NursingSOS  3 года назад

      Dominique573 N, focus on the mechanism of action, what the medication does inside the body. Knowing that will help you classify it too, and then you will be able to recognize how it could be both an ant seizure and antianxiety medication. Categorize them by pharmacological classification it will correlate with the MOA and how the medication works. As always, if you have specific questions you can always email us at hello@nursingsos.com :) Have a fantastic day!!
