Your family is so impressive! How wonderful that you could purchase the Starlinks and take them to North Carolina! Those people will be so appreciative. God bless those survivors and God bless you!
I have never watched your channel before today, Thanksgiving. It seems fitting. I was brought to tears recollecting what “my people” just went through and many are still experiencing in WNC. I grew up in Asheville 70-80’s. Many areas where I lived no longer exist. My mother lives in Brevard, NC and I am overwhelmed by the devastation to my mountains when I visit her. I am so grateful for you helping to connect WNC to the outside world.❤
Thank you. My mom lives in Swannanoa and lots of friends and family around the area so I know exactly how you feel. Sorry for your loss. Hope you enjoy our channel.
Thank you so much for going into this area. They are in desperate need. I donated on Ryan Hall's page and they raised over 100k to help. Chimney Rock and Black Rock Mountain were completely wiped. I saw a video where ppl from WV came and made some roads through the area. Not something you could do in your RV but enough for 4WD. And the Cajun Navy did absolute miracles. Such a great community. I haven't finished the video yet, but you may not be prepared for what you see. This was a catastrophic event for W NC. God bless you all.
Amazing Trip Thanks for all you've done and do and may GOD Bless You and Your Family over abundantly and above. Have Fun Stay Safe and Keep Making Memories
I went up in the Arch about 40 years ago. I'm originally from St Louis and I got to watch the progress of the Arch as it reached its height of 630 ft. I'm claustrophobic as well. But it was worth it. Blessings to you all!
Amazing what you have done for you community! my brother in law was been helping from Ottawa, ON in NC for a few weeks with hydro.....God Bless and keep up the great work
I am from WNC. I started watching this video just to watch your travels across country. God blessed me today with it. Little did I know that I was going to see a family helping along the way. I must say I was misty eyed from the point you mentioned what our part of the state was going through. Things are better but emotions still come up when least expected. I wanted to take the time to thank your family and everyone that joined you in helping. I don’t live in Asheville but in a little mountain town outside of Asheville called West Jefferson in Ashe County NC. Again thank you so very much for your love and kindness.
I live in St. Louis so I’ve been up in the Arch many times so it doesn’t make me nervous. I hadn’t been in years and finally went up again this past fall. ❤️
The Arch!! My family was there in 1977 when I was 16 years old. About all I remember of it was wondering if my dad was going to pass out or not because he was extremely claustrophobic. He was determined that he was going to do it and he did. That's why he is my hero in more ways than can ever be expressed!!! It's on my bucket list to go back there someday!!! Thanks for your videos and sharing your family experiences!!
Love your videos! Just found you guys last week and I am really liking sharing your adventures. Thanks for being you and taking those of us sitting in our homes, with you. Safe travels and many blessings! Rick
I can't wait to go get some Kachava and Greek yogurt to try out that snack. Great snack idea, Sarah! As for Willis's perfect array of pepperoni slices, I approve!👍🏾💙🤍❤️
I just found your site and watched a few of your vids and there really awesome i enjoy them very much you have a nice family thank you i will be watching more of your vids!😇🥰❤💯🙏
I live in KC, MO and have been to the arch a couple of times. I like that you collect patches. Me, I collect coffee mugs. I’m 63 yrs old so I have so many coffee mugs I’m not sure what to do with!! Love your videos! 😊
It's funny how we all have our little collections! I wouldn't mind having a new coffee mug from time to time but there is no way we could collect them in the motorhome. :)
That is cool. We started trying to add an ornament each year but we forgot to date them so it just kind of went by the wayside. The last 9 years of being on the road we have such a small tree we just dont have room for anymore.
Just found your channel, absolutely love it and just subbed. Great job with your videos, love how informative you are, watched the video on 5 parks in Utah, now I have a plan! Thank you
You should consider the Loves ap. With the ap you can start the pump from your Smart phone. I have my Open Roads # programmed in for the payment and typically have the pump ready to turn on before i get out of the coach. Love your videos, safe travels!
I will look into that. I have the Loves app but not tied to my Open Roads account. I have found the app difficult to use. So thank you for the heads up.
@glennc8761 put your tsd card # into the loves app and pay for the fueling with your smart phone. You already have your loves # in the app so when you use your phone to pay you do not have to insert any cards at the pump. You can select to pick up your receipt at the desk or you will see the transaction on your phone. When I am done I can also see the transaction on the Open Roads app so I know how much I saved.
Hello Shinpaughs: Black Friday I was laying in bed watching RUclips and just started watching your channel I forgot the first video I watched but when I saw the St Louis Arch I got so excited “Oh their in St, Louis.” The tram ride to the top is nerve wrecking the first time, I went up the first time on a school trip and for my grandkids birthdays I would take them,Did they tell you guys that it sways? Helicopters use to fly between the legs but they put a stopped to that real fast, they also tried skydiving to land on top that also was prohibited. Tell Jason I’m glad his truck wasn’t stolen 😂 I saw the look you and Sarah gave him. I think you guys probably parked your rv on Jefferson & mlk {that’s the only rv park I know of) the surrounding area is a lil sketchy but it’s safe it’s just an old part of town. I hope you enjoyed the Arch as much as I enjoyed watching your fam, Tell Jason he’s the man 💪🏽 got that house parked at Disney the first time he’s a pro Safe Travels Ahead/Detrice
Thank you for watching our channel! Glad you enjoyed our Arch video. We stayed at a Harvest Host outside of town and drove our car to the Arch. It was cool to finally see it in person. We have driven by so many times in the past.
Can you make some videos about you guys daily life during the weekdays? Like how your kids do the school and you and husband at work? Looking forward and thanks!
My Brother lives in Edwardsville, Illinois. We have gone but I am too scared to go in the tram. I want to but the time were we’re going to do it the winds were to high and the closed the Arch.
What a great video. Thank you for caring. We are home in Sarasota Florida. One if our properties had damage from hurricane Milton. We are cleaning it up now. The insurance adjuster has come so now we are waiting to see how well Citizens Insurance pays their claims. Keep us in your prayers. Tomorrow my wife has an appointment at 1 pm with the radiation oncologist. She had her cancer surgery six weeks ago. Both Helene and Milton have pushed her radiation treatments back.
Thank you!! I hope all is well for your wife and your properties had no damage from the storms. I stopped and prayed for her as I typed this response:)

Just a small observation, but have you ever considered the possibility of having issues with obtaining bad diesel from these smaller outlets? It does happen. I get the whole saving money process, and we all focus on that especially with 235 gallon fuel tanks. However, I have been warned by more than a few owners, Prevost techs, and professional drivers about the pitfall risks of taking on bad fuel. Most of them like Loves, Pilot, TA, etc because they are constantly all day turning over their fuel supplies with fresh fuel.
We very seldom stop at a small place. But sometimes we have to.Our Open Roads card is good at all the places you mentioned which is where primarily stop. Do you use Open Roads/TSD card?
We vote where we are from in Florida. We can mail in our vote, but this year it just worked out for us to be back in town. Thanks for tuning in from South Africa!

We had a bad experience in mo with our tow vehicle. We were on vacation in the month of October and we were heading back from Walmart in St Charles mo and someone behind us rammed us and pushed us into the car that was making a left turn. I had the wind knocked out of me my glasses flew out the back window of our 2019 chevy sonic hatchback my dad broke his nose on the steering wheel due to the impact. Unfortunately our airbags didn't go off because of where the vehicle we hit. Only the head lights and the hood was bash in. In the crash report the person that rammed us couldn't see because of the sun was blinding her from our back window and she couldn't see that our brakes lights were on. If you can't see a bright green car on the road you shouldn't be driving a vehicle at all.
We do. We only have lap belts in the passenger seat and in the back. Not sure why they didn't put a full seatbelt upfront. Our rule is to always be strapped in. You will see us sitting on the couch and not in the arm chairs on a travel day. Appreciate your concern!!!
You drive to fast. Please hold it down to 60 miles per hour. What's the rush??? I have a fleetwoodFleetwoodRevolution and I try to stay around 60. My class A weighs 43thousand pounds and I know you weigh a lot more. If something happens you are going to kill someone or your family. Slow down!
Thanks for watching our channel. I keep our cruise control set 67-69 mph depending on the situation. I think its way more dangerous going to slow. Cars drive so fast now a days. I see them run up on slow moving vehicles and almost run into the back of them.
You are such generous people. Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Thank you. We have a whole bunch of people who helped us and supported the cause. We are just the connectors:)
You have to laugh at the old man he is a treasure funny as hell and so knowledgeable a real pleasure to watch them. Watching from Australia.
Thank you. That is what I’m always telling them😂😂😂 Welcome to our channel. Hope you enjoy it.

God's blessing to you and all who donated and helped with those Starlinks.

Agreed.

Thanks for tuning in from Saudi Arabia!
I live in St. Louis so I’ve been up in the Arch many times so it doesn’t make me nervous. I hadn’t been in years and finally went up again this past fall. ❤️
That’s awesome!
And, the tailwind gods smiled 🌬. I tend to go for the magnets or stickers, but yeah, patches made into a quilt is a stupendous idea!
:)
The patches are a great idea. I mentioned it to my wife as she is making a quilt for our Alpine Coach. We may need lap throws to track our travels!
Love it!
Beautiful family and thank you for helping those in Asheville 🙏✌️🇺🇸
Thank you!!!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the kindness. It helps us so much:)

Doesn't it feel great to be able to give back? Thank you for doing so. I am sure it had a huge impact!
Yes it does! It was amazing to be able to help like that.
Made me cry remembering those first few days here in WNC. It's still tough and weird and heartbreaking on day 31.
Us too! We think about NC every day.
Wow so moving you guys are just a delight love what you do !

I like hat pins and magnets. Sometimes Christmas ornaments
It is fun to hear what others collect on their travels!
We did the arch in August the tram was a little tight
That is generous:) It was so cool to see what it took to build t. The video made our feet sweat:)
My Brother lives in Edwardsville, Illinois. We have gone but I am too scared to go in the tram. I want to but the time were we’re going to do it the winds were to high and the closed the Arch.

I loved it and I'm not afraid of heights I used to be a construction worker so I'm all good with it❤❤❤❤
Oh wow!!!
That elevator.....not today thank you😮😮
Yep. lol!
We loved the arch!! Scared to go up in the little Enclosed shells
That was 20 yrs ago, thinking it's different now.
Ours swung back and forth - scared me to death, but worth it once up there
Love your channel
Thank you!!! I wish I had known what to expect better. I was definitely surprised by the little shell.
Went in it this past summer. Sitting and waiting for the real crowded part of when you swap with those going down. Not a whole lot of room there
Linda and the kids were surprised by that too.
Beautiful family
Thank you!
I just stumbled on your channel and love your content. What do you do for a leaving? I am a teacher and my husband and I want to travel but we still need to work.
Love it!! We are in the real estate and mortgage business.
How do you tow your four wheel drive truck with all fours on the road?
It is 4x4 so it had a neutral transmission. That is what you need to flat tow a vehicle.
Next time ur in St. Louis. Try imos pizza. Best pizza only in st louis
Will add it to our list! Thank you!
im with Jason, just watching you go up scared me to death
😳
Beautiful
🥰
I have never been there. Glad for the info. Lol.....I won't go up.
Afterwards I was disappointed in myself for not going up. Linda said there were windows once we got going. Oh well next time!
Im with you dad. Back to the bus
😁
Did you ever get/find your truck after it got stolen or did you get a new one
They found the truck and we have it back. That is what you see in our videos now. However, almost all of our personal stuff was gone.
@@TheShinpaughsHow terrible 😢
It was but we have moved on!

🥰
Love these videos! Just curious though how do the kids make any friends?
Oh wait lol! I’ve only watched two episodes and I think this one you said you go to Florida in the winter. Got it! ❤
They make friends everywhere. One or two trips to the pickleball courts and we have all the social interaction we need for the entire time we are somewhere.
Where was the fuel needle at we you filled up?
When we started in Colorado we added 103 gallons to start the trip.
❤❤ God Bless
Thank you!!

We did it when we got.to the top my husband wouldn't move
Completely understand!
Done it several times.
It’s a long flat drive through Kansas isn’t it😊
Noticed the headphones. Have you found good noise canceling ones?
The kids wear Skull Candy headphones and they really cancel the noise. I have tried to wear them but it makes me feel like I need to pop my ears. It's too much "noise cancelling" for me.
@@TheShinpaughs Thanks so much for responding 🙏
Of course!
The men that built it are Union Ironworkers.
Yes they are!!! It was amazing to see how they worked on the project.
