    I agree I've been vegan for 6 months and I've saved so much on my weekly shop, but I get my fruit and veg from Aldi plus frozen fruit and veg and everything else from Asda, with a few special things from my local vegan health food store. I also make most of my food from scratch, so I don't don't eat processed food or ready meals. Some of the things from the vegan health food store are a bit expensive , but with shopping at Aldi and Asda it balances out

    Fantastic!! I have been vegetarian for 25 years and have been considering going vegan for a few months. Suddenly decided on Saturday it was a definite go but I'll wait til I've eaten all the cheese stuff in the freezer :( but then decided I was a hypocrite, now in a blind panic because all we have that is vegan is chips, popcorn, peas and sweetcorn, so your video has given me some great ideas; even though I knew it was going to be easy, you've really made me refocus.
    And I was absolutely over the blooming moon the other day when I realised LM sausage rolls are vegan, I absolutely love them :D

    Guys, Morrison's & ASDA both have really big vegetarian & vegan ranges. Morrison's & ASDA are much better with their labelling than the other super markets too. Holland & Barrett sell a load of labelled vegan goodies, frozen,chilled, canned & conffectionary. Some of the products they sell are bland or inedible & very over priced but I just love the chilled frankfurters & tartex pate's & Tival vegan sausages. Great for tasty luxury foods but no good for your main shop as it's so pricey in there. Iceland does a few nice things (vegan) but not a lot of choice

    Try a local Asian supermarket for dates. You usually get big trays of dates for £3 - £5. Especially if you use them daily in smoothies.

    I've never understood the 'being vegan is expensive' thing. Unless you're buying lots of vegan junk food I can't see how it would cost more than animal products. Most people buy several different meat options as well which must cost a fortune!

    • @Sarahslifeandstyle
      @Sarahslifeandstyle  8 лет назад

      I totally agree. I think our shopping costs less than it would if we bought meat too. x

    Tesco are the only ones who have organ vegan kale. I didn't see it in your shipment. Kale is very good for you and there are lots of ways to prepare it. Thanks for taking the time to do this.

    I noticed the Chinese boxes in your fridge! Could you possibly do a video like a Vegan takeaway guide! That's what I'm really struggling with, knowing what I can get when all my family are getting a Chinese/ Indian etc! Love the videos xx

    I used to think being vegan is expensive and use to think of wholefood stores and... Now I'm vegan myself I see how wrong I was :)

    • @Sarahslifeandstyle
      @Sarahslifeandstyle  8 лет назад +3

      Yep totally! There are for sure some shops where being vegan will be expensive and Wholefoods is one of them! I can spend a small fortune in their and walk away with just a few items! It's crazy. But every week shopping from a normal supermarket isn't the same and vegetables have to be one of the cheapest foods in the shop! Some of the vegan bars tend to be a bit overpriced though and it's weird because surely not using dairy would make it cheaper. x

    i do really like Tesco though & they were first to change their labelling on animal testing yet I don't see the clear labelling anymore?

    100% agree i have no idea what people are talking about when they say being vegans more exspensive then buying meat, even the most basic poorly treated chemically injected scrap meat *eyes ears & arseholes* is double the cost of meatfree products and double the health risks. bloody tired of that argument. Even if I was buying soley organic finest fruit n veg that would be cheaper than organic grass fed farm raised meat. and just like you said when they buy meat thats not all they eat they also buy fruit n veg n grains ect to go with it so it cant be cheaper.

    Too bad they deliver in plastic bags instead of boxes.
    Like your videos! :)

    • @Lucadonta

      you can select a bagless option :)

    • @Sarahslifeandstyle
      @Sarahslifeandstyle  8 лет назад

      Yep you sure can! Mine seemed to be automatically selected to bags for some reason. x

    • @Sarahslifeandstyle
      @Sarahslifeandstyle  8 лет назад

      Yep there is an option to go bagless. It does make the whole delivery of the food shop quite an ordeal without bags but you can give the bags back or recycle them anyway. X
