    Hi Steve. I’ve been thinking about the Sigma 100-400 on a deal so I’ve been nerding out on videos about it (as photogs tend to do), cool video and nice shots, man.

    Love your videos steve. You are correct. Goshawk are tough to photograph. Tried to shoot one a couple of years ago but as soon as I pointed the lens around the corner it was gone. In northern new mexico.

    You were lucky to see those goshawks. An extremely elusive bird that just flits around the edges of forests. A killing machine too. Well done. Its going to be exciting next year.

    Thanks for taking us along again. Your pelicans were great in that light, and you got some pretty swell Goshawk shots. Nice of the bears to share the berries with you.......you did say bear spray or was it beer spray? May see you downtown next week.

    On the second part of your video where you said you had to put a coat on because of the mosquitoes, were you using your thermacell at that time? I wanna know if Thermacell is actually efficient.

      Thermacell works great! But not perfect, I haven’t found anything perfect yet.

    You needed a rain jacket? What happened to the Thermacell?

    • @SteveMattheis
      @SteveMattheis  7 лет назад

      Good question... the thermacell works really well, especially when standing still or moving slowly. But if I’m moving quickly, it doesn’t work as well so I threw on the jacket.

    We're you near signal mountain

      Further south. But there are lots of good huckleberry patches on Signal, as you must know... Thanks for watching!
