I'm new to Mack. Normally I engage the Interaxle lock at highway speed but with the Mack I get the PLDO lockout. There is no diff lock, just the interaxle. I referenced the manual but I do not see the speed that the driver is supposed to engage the interaxle. The manual confirms that it is an interaxle lock that I'm engaging and the symbol is familiar. So far it hasn't helped to call the dealer. Anyone know the speed to engage the interaxle?
Inter-Axle can be engaged at any speed without issues. The inter-wheel diff lock should only be engaged in no tire slip or stand still situation. Diff. Lock should not be used over speeds exceeding 25MPH as it could cause a under-steer situation. Be mindful of uneven tire wear if PDLO is engaged and driven for 100's of miles over extended periods.

Navistar doesn't have its own axle. Mack brand has been in existence since EARLY 1900's.
