From what I understand, going based off the 3-space house rule you had implemented on the Motion Tracker, you could have, on that last turn, moved into the suit storage, dropped the canister, used two actions to move into the hallway 3 spaces from the Garage, popped your motion tracker to potentially move the Alien into the Garage and been safe for the next turn... Of course I say that with the benefit of knowing which encounter card you got.
@@The_MightyJingles Maybe an enhanced motion tracker, use an extra scrap to build it, gets you an extra range for it. Maybe also at the cost of limited uses, if three spaces is too OP.

Then makes a further error in judgement and uses the motion tracker to needlessly reveal a conceal token which moves the alien and then forgets to refund an action for revealing the alien. Further poor judgement causes him to move Dallas instead of either taking the incinerator from Parker and using it to drive the alien back to finish out the turn and not draw an encounter or do nothing and take the moral hit on the chin and get to move both Parker and Dallas when the alien inevitably jumps them (moral is only taken once regardless of number of crew in a location). 47:25 jingles makes a minor error in judgement and needlessly crafts an incinerator instead of a prod (he is dangerously close to dead and -2 moral damage would ultimately have saved him). 50:30 Jingles makes another (this time ultimately fatal) error in judgement and chooses to move the alien to Brett instead of Dallas ensuring the alien will move to Parker when Dallas, who is next, ends his turn if Dallas is unable to use a tool to move the alien. 53:33 Jingles forgets that no actually you can use an action to take any number of items from a crew member in the same space meaning he can move Dallas to Brett (1 action), take and his incinerator and grapple (since Dallas has the most actions he will be best suited to getting into and out of the garage which is actually the most dangerous room on the ship if the alien is in the nest) while giving him the coolant take to take to suit storage on his upcoming turn (1 action), move one towards the alien and use the motion tracker (or not since you thought it was 3 instead of 2 so either 2 actions or 1 action) if the conceal is the alien incinerate it, if not, incinerate it (either way 1 action leaving you with no actions if playing properly or 1 action if using your accidental house rule). @@frantaf - Unfortunately I only have the core game of Arkham Horror 2e. After getting EH, it kinda took over the playtime. Have so many other games, AH2e just doesn't get table time anymore. In part due to not having extra (out of print) expansions, but also streamlining reasons. Haven't bothered with AH 3e since it looks rather thin on content without large investments.
I only dreamed of single player board games when I was a kid. And Alien too! Amazing! Time for round two!
Just got this from Amazon for £28.00 after watching your playthrough. Looks like an interesting game.
This could be played across Discord, so anyone could play from where ever in the world, but Jingles would have to figure a way to determine who gets to play
I just watched an hour of video just for Jingle's sweet voice. ❤
This has sparked an interest. I just might have to get this to play with my fam!
More board game content please.
I have a couple of gaming, movie, & creative groups of friends that we started years ago. It's a great event that we look forward to every week.
Going to have to check out this game. Thx for showing this Jingles......I mean MIGHTY LORD OF THE SALT MINE!
favorite boardgames axis vs allies. love it how ever if you play could take up to 4 days to play for total world domination 2 days if just beating axis or allies 8 to four hours a day play 2 to five players or make youre own rules 10 players favorite home rule nuke reduce opponent ip by 6d6 *2 also called 1942 but need whole map for good play its like risk
Kitty on the sofa hears something, looks up, hisses and runs away.
Jungles notices a shadow blanket him from behind;
Reads the card in his hand - "You have my sympathies".
I enjoyed this quite a lot, please do throw in some more board game playthroughs!
I played this with my brother and cousin right around the same time you did. I bought the game as a family present this past Christmas but were only just recently able to unbox and try it out. We almost beat it after playing twice in about an hour and a half.
(By the way, I came here from the Operations Room video about the Battleship Missouri coming under missile attack during Desert Storm.)
4:45 (-ish) Scraps has also started being used in world of tanks for completing bundles for the last season of Clan Wars
Jingles: "Well hello there."
Me: "Who are you and what have you done with the real Jingles?"
I have to say, i never heard of this board game. But it is great you are not competing against each other but need to work together. A rare thing when it comes to board games.
Thank you for the review which convinced me to buy this game. Unfortunately the company doesn't sell it in my country but I managed to get one. I agree with you that there should be a marker to indicate which player comes next, maybe an alien egg or a little facehugger would have been nice. Also painted the figures which now look way much better!
I miss the days of playing Traveler with my mates.
Is it bad every time I hear Jingles say "shit" I get a huge laugh out of it.
Oh i loved this, hope to see more like this etc
I caught Jingles Live? Damn, Ya damn right im gonna watch this
is was quite cool actually, i'd personally watch more such videos
There is absolutely nothing wrong with trying something new, but I prefer the usual Mingles with Jingles.
1st time watching your channel & enjoyed this a lot, thanks! also ordered the game. 😄
Last time I saw somebody play boardgames on RUclips, was Board James. ^_^
loved it jingles! and i saw both cats in background too, hidden tokens i see lol
I enjoyed this, nice change. Would love to see Another Day in the Corp as that is hard to get holds of.
Lots of happy little accidents you go there Jingles, I begin to see how did you win that one time :D and how you lost all others too :DDD
I just ordered Kingdom Death Monster, it's a bit expensive but I saved up and finally got it. It's a game about hunting and resource management where you build a community in a very hostile world and start with 4 people in loin cloths with stones fighting a lion. It's a bit brutal.
Excellent. Please do more board games.
That’s very nice, but more fun with Justicar Balls and his band of Merry Marines please :)
Also, you should play SpaceHulk from Games Workshop with Ol’ Eddie!
Single Genestealer infestation of a Space Hulk kicks the arse of ill-prepared Imperial cannon-fodder lead by wizened old gnome. M2, recorded.
Should've brought Terminator armor, storm bolters and teh Emprah's Fureh!
56:45 You could have revealed the conceal token in Maintenance by moving Dallas down and using the motion tracker, might have saved you another turn.
So game ends, the corporation wins, Ash will steer the Nostromo to Earth and the Corporation gets an Alien on a USCSS platter ^^
Really enjoyed that, even better with the Jinglisms 😂
Oh mighty overlord, it would be fun to see you and Eddie playing this 😂
That was most interesting, it held my interest. Thanks for sharing. It really was an adventure wondering what would happen next.😎
