kids are just old enough to start playing board games, and Halloweens right around the corner and this games price point is on point. should be great time for whole family this halloween.
This is a perfect family game for Halloween. Relatively inexpensive, easy to learn, streamlined gameplay that means the game doesn't overstay its welcome in any one session, and the perfect theme. I hope you have fun with it.
I got it for Christmas as well. About time I start playing it! Great stuff.
It's a really fun game. I've played it so many times now, and I still keep going back to it.
Interesting. It does seem like a simplified Arkham Horror. Unfortunately, if it does not feature actual firing chestbursters or slime, preferably both, it does not meet my exacting standards for a children's product.
It's an unforgivable oversight, really. Not sure what they were thinking.
Thank you for this, I didn't know about it and now I want it and it will be perfect for my friend and her two young boys. Hope you have a good New Year.
I'm glad I was able to draw your attention to it. It's an amazing game. Beautiful, thoughtful presentation, and incredibly accessible, with an awesome theme. Could be one of my favourite co-op games. I hope you're having a Happy New Year as well.
Really cool review. Thanks for sharing. I'll have to start watching some of these films over lockdown!
Thank you. They're great films for hunkering down with on a winter evening.
This is that one game that I find myself coming back to play solo to see if I can take on all the different monster combinations
Yeah. It sets up and plays so quickly you can easily fit it in around other things, and the monster combos are really interesting.
Like to see American Monsters Review. Maybe there could be a third in the series? Space monsters maybe?
I have reviewed American Monsters already, and I recently talked about the third in the series which comes out this month - Greek Monsters. If you search my channel you should find the videos.
This looks like a fun game. Does not seem to complicated and has great art to go with it.
It's great fun. The focus is just on collecting those items and getting them to the right place at the right time, so it's really easy to know what you should be doing straight away; and then the different monsters and heroes add the variety. The artwork is fantastic and really sets the tone well.
I can't wait to hear your review! Off-topic, which classic monster in this game do you think would win in an arena fight? My money is on the vampire due to its speed and intelligence (can use silver to kill the wolfman) but I think that the wolfman would be a close second.
It's definitely Drac, but I always found the Wolf Man the scariest.
I was wondering if you would post a video of this game after seeing you post a pic on your Facebook, really cool review, I think its safe to say you like this game?!?! 😀 It does seem very much as though the creators got to work on their dream game, so much thought and creative love has gone into it in both large elements and small details. I think my lad is a little to young for the theme currently but I can see myself buying to play when he is a little older.
Looking at your gifts this year you didn't do so badly haha, one very thoughtful wife and daughter!! 👍 My lads favourite so far has been Dungeon Mayhem (on a really good offer at Smyths currently), not quite the same standard of your game, butt im working on him. Cool review as usual....
Ha. Yes, people who follow my Instagram and Facebook sometimes get little hints at what I'm working on and what might appear on the channel over the next few days. I've never played Dungeon Mayhem, but it looks like a bit of fun. Certainly looks like something my daughter would enjoy. Thanks for watching.
I have this game! I think it's fun even though it's simple. However I enjoy it more with two or three players rather than four
The streamlined design is part of the charm for me. It's so easy to set up, you can teach new players very quickly, and it works with younger gamers as well. I haven't played with four or five players yet (lockdown issues). With more players each player gets less turns during the course of the game, but I can see this escalating the level of co-operation as there is an increased risk of being caught by the monsters between turns if you don't rely on the other players to help you.
The music in the background: lite and airy? 😂
No. A very good friend provides my music. It's all original.
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Ah! Thats actually very nice. :) What I meant is it is a little lite and airy as background music for describing a horror game.
@@thedalewardens9106 Oh, I see. I thought it might have been one of those free to use asset sets. I love this piece of music. I feel it's perfectly in line with my style of presentation to make people feel like they're going somewhere in a lift!
@@AlwaysBoardNeverBoring Nailed it.
