They have Hypex power sections in place of Icepower now- so the 500 can cope with a 4 + an 8 ohm cab, but only one speaker out now (!). The drive control on the TH does a nice (analog) cab sim thing anyway. I'm still depressed that they sold out to Korg- they were a great little company and very responsive to customers (not so much with Korg).
Cool additions. The TH500 still got pretty breathless at louder volumes though, which I don’t think they’ve addressed that here. And their pricing post Korg acquisition makes their gear less appealing. Still good gear.
I've managed to buy the older TH 500 at Thomann for 579 euros in June, but they're sold out. I have googled it now and found it for 699 in another store. Anyway you better run, as they're putting out the last older units. Good luck!
What about the built in ventilator? Has it been improved again and is now quieter?
Yup, thats my question as well!
I returned my last tone hammer because the fan was so loud it was annoying!
Nope. Still the same.
@@anonymus8760 Thanks
I can confirm, fans are loud on AG500 v2. It's something to consider. It's like the AG700 v1 and it's much louder than my th500 v1.
EVERY amp heads should have a cabsimmed DI out nowadays.

“I wouldn’t mind owning both….because I’m greedy”. We were all thinking the same thing!

Shout out to the editor for those sick translations in the beginning.
I wonder if this means a discount coming for the older versions? Been wanting a tone hammer for a little while now.
I’ve seen them on sale at some shops recently

not even close to the Ampeg Venture tbh
I was wondering about that same thing - what would you say is the difference?
Why does everyone want cab simulation these days? Just play through a cabinet.
It’s not for you, it’s for the front of house. Of course you’re still using a cab
Lots of gigs with IEMs perhaps.
sinlosse beispiele… jedes mal andere bass… wie kann man da amp sound vergleichen? geht es ums amp oder bass?
Overpriced!
