This seems like a perfect small gig setup. Compact, lightweight and reasonably powerful. Thanks for the demo, and greetings from behind the Redwood Curtain in the northernmost region of California.
I have the non carbon fiber versio of the GR Bass One single 12 combo (Same amp in combo form) with a single 12 extension cab. It sounds incredible and is ridiculously loud. Even the non carbon fiber versions is lighter than many equivalent combos and single extension cabs. I did feel the weigh of the carbon fiber cab and it was crazy how light it was,
Bass players in the USA will be able to get GR Bass cabinets and amps at John Fox Bass. Huge truckload of 50 cabinets and amps will be arriving in about 2 weeks!
I have that head and the smaller one too. They work great and my favorite feature on the 800 is the 9v output which I use all of the time. I also have one of their 1x10", the wood one, not the carbon fiber one. It works great as well although the covering on the back of it is peeling off.
Nice! Would love to see a review of GR's powered cabinets, incl how they compare to using an FRFR speaker from the likes of QSC, JBL, etc for bass specifically
@@michelepassariello4867 Yes, I'm using the stereo 210 powered cabinet with my quad cortex and it's phenomenal. For bass, I tried the powered 112 and it is fantastic as well. Weighs practically nothing and has an 800W amp hiding in the box, and produces a huge wall of sound. How can you beat it?!
I just bought the NF210V, same cab in "Natural Fiber" finish, and I love it. It's not only the lightest 210 cab in the world, it's also the best sounding cab I ever played on.
I bought one and out of the box it trembles and shakes like crazy and has a resonance noise. Not clear where the problem is. Have to take it to get checked
In the 90s I was playing my self built 2*10 and the cones by themselves where much more than 7 kilos, wonder how they did this, probably ultra light magnets, nice job.
Very nice. My Barefaced cabs are already really light, but these are even lighter. 37 hotdogs is tiny! That's like just a snack between breakfast and brunch for Americans.
This thing sounds absolutely phenomenal! If it has international voltage switching, I'm super interested. It sounds super tight. Now that the company that I've endorsed for over a decade (DNA Amps) is no longer, I'm going to study up on this brand. The players that you have on this channel have so much character in their playing. I'd volunteer to do some metal and slap for you if I lived where you do but I'm in the USA and moving to Kenya soon. 😔
I like the super lightweight cabinet but I saw a video of a customer's graphite cabinet that was damaged during shipping. I would choose a Barefaced Big Baby or Super Compact T. Very cool T-shirt!
So if it is dropped directly on a corner OR some GOON on a forklift in the trucking terminal damages it , THAT would be the FAULT of the cabinet ? I would rather move this , assuming it gets " your tone " than a cabinet that weighs double or triple . In fact , many older 4 X 10's are 100 lbs. . That's always fun when coming home from a gig at 3 AM and you are going up a flight of stairs , ALONE . However , the cabs you mentioned are great .
@@billsmith2212 No, it's not the cabinet's fault but I would not want to have to repair a new cabinet. That's just me. I agree that there is no substitute for a lightweight bass cabinet that sounds great!
GR has a 5 year warranty . They might replace the cabinet and they may file a claim with the carrier . The key is to save ALL packing materials , take pictures and contact them immediately . I sued UPS in small claims court . They damaged an item that I packed and shipped . They refused to pay the claim . They never showed up and lost by default . The shipper files the claim . Some of these items are brutalized in shipping and they " claim " they were not packed right . I beg to differ .
The amp looks pretty cool. Went to buy one of their cabs last year & ended up concerned about fragility of the corners. Walked out with a Vanderkley instead.
Some of those amp features are great! I would definitely be interested in owning one of them. The carbon fiber cabs are a bit steep on the price so I would probably opt for the wood version. Unfortunately here in the states, I don't even know where to buy this stuff. I think it's available here somewhere but it must be a well kept secret?
Could you help with some inside information. I am considering DG AO 900 amp. Would you know if they've got anything in the pipeline that will supersede it. I know darkglass are a bit like Apple of the bass world. Many thanks.

I own many bass setups Aguilars, Eden and Trickfish but my Grbass One and AT212/AT112 with the Caveman Bp1 preamp pff i can rule the bass world !!
I’ve got the 212 version and it absolutely rocks. Insane how light it is considering the power.
René is a bad dude. Always love his playing

I have the GR Mini One 350 watt, and 210v clean and clear, and very lightweight.

I've heard their guitar FRFR cab and it sounds KILLER. Looking forward to the bass version as well

Glad you love it! We do have one of those in stock here at the moment.
“37 hotdogs.” Ha ha ha America 🇺🇸!!
😂😂😂
I've ordered the 1x10 version which weighs 4.5 kg and can handle 300w at 8 Ohm, insane
i've tried the 1x10 version : 300 wat at...4 ohm ! Amazing !

Great reviews as always. I wish you guys would do the new Markbass MB58R combos.
I have the GR One 800 with a White finish. Nice piece of gear. Works great with a PJB compact C4 if we dont push it too hard. I don’t need to though.
Acustica GRAPHITE
for a VST plugin version
Sounds fantastic!
Im old and looking to get back in the game.... Light and powerful is exactly what im looking for. seems the quality is better than i hoped as well....

Thanks for Sharing Gregor 🇬🇧🎶🎵🎸
Gr one 350...best head cabinets are fantastic too
Here You can hear how carbon GR AT410 sound in comparing to Ampeg 410

Where is the ToneX review Gregor? ;P
HAHA! Nice on the outro. Thx.
Esta marca ni de casualidad llega a Argentina, verdad??
Price must be groß
Why would you write "A, B, C ..." instead of the actual frequncies?
Hot dogs as a unit of measure? 😂😂 Thanks from an American. 🌭 Nice review, though. Cheers!
👏👏👏👏👏. 👋
The only one I can find is 350 watts. Not sure where you're getting 800.
'to' was correct.
You wouldn't be able to sell this in Argentina. "GRONE" is actually "the N word", very inappropriate...
