I used my camera and tripod so I can get sound. I crossed the river a total of 3 times, once to set up the camera, another to go back to my backpack, then one more time to get the shot lol. It definitely made it so much colder, but I knew I needed that shot 🤣
It was super cool to see you check out the Ice Cave. I live near Granite Falls which is the town closest to the caves. My friends and I have went to the caves a few times . WA people definitely take the beauty of our state for granted and im glad you shined a light on one of the many beautiful places we have here. Thank you
OK, I'm sold. Your videos are great. To think you even went across the river again just to get a shot when that's so hard on you. I have an easy time with cold water, but I'm jealous of you being able to hike without getting wet socks just from sweat.
I love watching your videos. First it’s very informative then the beautiful scenery. You’re living my dream and you’re a good teacher. Keep up the good work and keep it coming.
Did you use the drone to film inside the cave? Feels like it would've been good to point that out while showing that part -- otherwise it sure looks like your cameraman went in a long, long ways (and people unfamiliar with your channel, like me, who aren't able to put together some data points the way I did, might assume that you went in *deep* and use that assumption to justify taking more risks than they usually would). That said, it's pretty cool to see you there! I miss going hiking up in that area. Been a while since our family's been able to handle longer hikes than just segments of the Centennial Trail.
So does this mean you had to cross the river twice so you could place the camera there and film yourself coming hahaha - so cold!!!
Oh wait I’m guessing you landed your drone across the way first haha

Good point! I did use my drone, almost crashed it in there too since there was no signal.

Thank you brotha 💪🏾
Well done! I enjoyed your video!
Glad you enjoyed it Linda!
I realized that you walked across, set up the camera, walked back, and then crossed again.
Haha yea, I crossed that river 3 times 🥶
Love this!
Informative video really good.
Thank you 😊
Dang, did you have to walk across and set the camera then walk back then cross again?
Yup! One of the pleasures (or pain) of being a one man crew 😂😓
I know you waded that water twice for the shot
Actually three times! 🙊 the first to set up the camera, second to go back, last to get the shot 😭
Braver than me!!!@@TheBackpackingBiologist
Beautiful so proud
Thank you :) I'm glad you liked it!
