I was there. At the halfway barrier. The crowd swelled by thousands after they came on - I remember looking back and not being able to see any of the concessions anymore. Fantastic gig.

if you guys think that becoming a rock and roll diva is growing up then i respect your opinion. But after all these years they americanized their sound, they got slower, their lyrics got worst etc etc the only think that got better is alex's voice
AM is a brilliant album which was going for an entirely different sound. In fact, all their albums are unique in their sound. Humbug is still their best album and an underrated masterpiece in my opinion but all their albums are fucking great. Alex Turner gets a lot of shit from his "older" fans but all I see is a man who gained a little bit more confident and became a hell of a lot more artsy with his performances. He's a performer. He likes to entertain. Stop being such a wanker. His lyrics are pretty fucking solid even now (Humbug still has the best lyrics, though).
