    Hi Franco, welcome to Oregon! Unfortunately welcome to our fall weather, ocean's gotten big, and pacific storms are rolling in. If you have family here, and can time your visits, some of the best weather is late September, early October. My latest tackle venture is going to be trying to make bioplastics for soft plastic lures. Gulp lures are made from something like that, which allows incorporation of water soluble attractants, and I want to give that a try with the gelatin/glycerine bioplastics. Ever tried that? Your videos are my inspiration to try new things, so thank you for them.

    • @EngineeredAngler

      Actually I did try a gelatin based soft plastic infused with fish oils...I almost got it to work but got frustrated with it before I worked out a good recipe. Good luck.
      Oh, and yes I'm bringing rain gear. Cheers.

    • @EngineeredAngler

    Another great and informative video. I have the Total Boat UV that you use and have problems getting it to coat. Same with the Alumilite UV. What do you use as a mid coat? (I am painting over airbrush acrylics, spray paint, etc. and using 120w spotlights with a turner) I'll brush it on and turn it for a while until it looks perfect but then it comes out with blotches of little or no coverage.... Thanks for any advice you might have!!

    Quick tip
    Get a Flowtron bk 80d. Bug zapper
    68 bucks Amazon
    Comes with everything you need to get started. 2 -40 watt 365 nm bulbs
    Just gut them and isolate zapper circuit
    I used 2 of them for 160 watts curing times cut in half.

    Great video! I want to find a way to add a good topcoat on my lures but with a satin finish. Would I be able to achieve that by using a satin polyacrylic midcoat and then the normal UV Cure or Totalboat as the topcoat? I've had a hard time finding straight-up satin UV resin topcoats. Thanks!

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  Год назад +1

      No...you would need to find a satin finish epoxy. Or, you could coat the epoxy with satin finish clear from a spray can.

    Hello Franck, thank you very much for your video and review, I decided to order one to make my first try on UV resin, I ordered almost all the stuff on your amazon list for UV resin and I wondered if it would be ok if I put a lure on my usual lure turner and stand with the light over or put something who hold the light over the lure and maybe an aluminium foil under the lure, rather than making a box like you ?
