Our family friend was a classical guitarist. He was camping in Northern California near Mendocino in the 1970s or 80s. He built a fire, had dinner and then settled in around the fire to play his guitar. After some time he looked up and saw in the glow of the fire the face of a Sasquatch listening to the music. Then the Sasquatch turned and disappeared back into the woods
Cool I believe it too... haven't you ever heard the old saying "music soothes the savage beast"? I bet he was really enjoying the guitar music greatly!!! Jennifer from Colorado 1953...a true believer

It's a great day today. I turned 55 today. I had a wonderful early morning kayak in Blue Mesa Reservoir. And Chris dropped one of his amazing episodes on RUclips. Has happy
The wife seems to have been the catalyst for whatever reason. All those weeks spent working before the event with No suspicious activity, then wife comes and these events unfold… wife leaves… and just as before the wife’s arrival & departure… nothing else happens. So for whatever the reason, in this specific encounter… the wife most definitely seems to be the catalyst. CRAZY! Loved the story Chris! Keep ‘em coming 😊❤
ALSO… I think it’s no coincidence that because she is somehow the catalyst to these events, SHE is also the ONLY ONE approached by the BigFoot. Like it meant to distract the men and lead them away from the RV in-order to further inspect and approach this woman for either curiosity or attraction. Either way again, it’s her arrival to the camp that lead into these events happening… then the eye to eye contact was with HER whilst seemingly deliberately getting her alone, and then after her departure, no other encounters or events such as the rocks being thrown at the RV… it literally just stops and goes quiet again after she leaves, exactly as it had been before she arrived. For me it begs the question of if these Male beings can possibly have some sort of attraction to women… was it something she was wearing? A cologne? … Just totally intriguing… 😊
My kids loved camping in the backyard. We live out in the country and their favorite memories are simply camping, campfires, swimming in the river, and hiking. As soon as my daughter gets her hip replacement (she’s only 30 but has a defect in joint), we’ll all be going together again. We still have campfires with hobo pies. We vacation together too. Making precious memories with my grandkids too now.
Aww, how sweet. I love that you have a close family. I'll keep your daughter in my prayers. I pray her recovery goes well, and she is able to get out there with the family quickly. GOD BLESS YOUR FAMILY!
@@lamilitarychannel3476 They’re “pies” made from two slices of bread with either fruit pie filling or pepperoni, cheese and sauce, etc. inside. You put it inside a two piece cast iron cooker on rods that you hold over or close to the campfire. It “bakes” the pie and seals it together. Then you take it out and eat it. Kids love it, but adults like them too.
What an unusual story - no hikers, no hunters, just a group of people doing a job, (in a sensible camper, no less!). Great storytelling, Chris - Stay safe in your backyard and elsehere!
I sincerely don't think that any story that Chris has ever told or will ever tell, would, could EVER be UNUSUAL! Just plain EXCITING AND INTERESTING! 🙊🙈🙉
Thank you to John for the story. Chris, you are such a great storyteller that I feel like I am sitting right there in that tent with you! Thanks as always!
We were up on our anniversary trip in Lost Valley Reservoir (Idaho) it's our favorite destination. We had a trailer that we kept our 4 wheeler in, but it was empty and we were sleeping in our tent, so we let our dog sleep in the trailer. (It's all covered and has an open gate that we closed; he had lots of room in there with his blankets.) Late in the night, we heard him start to whine; which he never does. If he hears something, he's 100% going to bark at it; not whine. We tried to look toward the trailer but it was pitch dark that night and we couldn't see a damn thing. A few minutes later; we could hear a grunting noise and he began to whine again. We really didn't know what to do. Up there, we have all sorts of predators to worry about. The next morning, we scouted around and noticed some large claw marks in the tree up by the entrance of the site. It was a bear! Good thing the curious bear didn't come check our tent out. 😂
I had almost the exact same thing happen to me (my wife has given me grief since) while we were camping in our small pull behind camper. We were in a deserted campground in North Georgia in winter and had essentially an entire section of the grounds to ourselves. I'd heard 3 loud tree knocks while we were setting up that evening after we arrived that sound like they were maybe a half mile away or so which gave me slight pause as I've listened to many sasquatch encounters, but really didn't overthink it. Could've been other humans messing around. Not long after we got set up, My wife left to go to the nearest grocery store around 830. As I was getting everything settled solo about 20 mins after she left, I had what sounded like a small pebble hit the side of the camper. It startled me because of the force with which it hit. I was worried that had it hit a window it would've gone right through. I went outside and looked around with my flashlight but saw nothing of course. It was pitch black out for hours already by this time in winter. Went back in and attempted to finish unpacking and relax when another pebble hit in almost the exact same spot. It was right outside where I was standing in the camper. I started to get a slightly uneasy feeling at that point. It was clearly not something falling from a tree. This was hitting between the windows on the side and with some velocity. I finally finished up and made my way to the small couch to sit and turn on a movie, which I did. Not 5 minutes after being there, a small pebble hit right beside where I was now sitting, yet again barely missing windows that would've definitely been broken. I yet again went outside with my 1600 lumen flashlight and had a look around, but again saw nothing. Not 2 mins after going back in, you guessed it, pebble hits right by where I am. This happened several more times over the next 45 mins at random intervals until my wife returned. We got everything inside and I told her about what I'd experienced and how strange it all was, but of course didn't get another sound after she was back. For that reason, she's playfully hounded me about it since. Unfortunately that's where the story ends. Although it's a little anticlimactic, it's the truth so that's that. I realize there's always a chance it could've been other people messing around, but we were truly in the middle of nowhere so even if that's the case it's still a scary thought. This was in the national forest own by the state and is nowhere near big populations. The drive to the store from there was 25 mins one way. I still believe it very well could've been a sasquatch messing with me, given the totality of what happened that night. Especially the strange feeling of fear I had. My wife always says I should be more afraid of things, because I'm not easily scared and not much bothers me in that regard, but this made me think twice before going out to check and kept me from checking after that second time when the feeling really kicked in. Anyway, this is my story that night. Also: I had another strange encounter at 17, but that's a story for another time.
Awesome story - one of my favorites! I can’t imagine the terror that Farshid’s wife must have felt to have the big hairy guy just suddenly pop up out of nowhere and be staring at her in the RV 😮. Oh, and #LetsGetTheseEffers 😂😂😂

Wicked great story this week Chris. Boy I tell you I'm not the kind of guy that can fall back asleep after being woken up like that. I'd be lying there in bed with my full radar system on high alert.

Coming back after our spring break he asks is if anyone had a story to tell. After giving us a chance he then stood up acking quite nervous related the following. He and a couple of teachers were out hunting and just about fueled the were standing by there jeep drinking a beer and chatting when out of know where a very large hairy creature came running up, jumped on the hood of the jeep and went on its way.before this I had never heard there was such a creature but have been a true believer ever since,.
I think this was probably the best Bigfoot stories yet! Like the way you did it with the Casual approach❤ and I'm going to try some of that drink! Can't wait for the next one😊 cheers😋👍
Wow, just stumbled across your channel. You have a new subscriber. Great story telling Chris ! Just the way, I remember as a kid… We were avid campers. & native Californians. Dad took us up & down the California coast, & inland to Yosemite, all over, including Big Sur & Cambria. Morro Bay, San Louis Obispo area. “Montana de Oro” was our favorite. Dad preferred the rustic campgrounds, because he also wanted to teach a survival tactics. I’m the youngest of six. This was back in the late 60s through the 70s. We used to sit around a big campfire after dinner with dad, or mom telling us spooky ghost stories😂 right before bed… I miss those days… though mom & dad have passed. Sometimes my siblings, we all get together & still go camping in Montana de Oro. We try to go once a year, & try to go late spring, before all the kids get out of school for obvious reasons.😂
WoW! I feel so bad for fasheed's wife! I bet she doesn't go on Local jobs with them anymore! Looks like you had a few winged friends in your tent Chris! LOL! Great Job as Usual!
Yeah, I really feel sorry for her!! I was thinking that maybe Bigfoot lured the men away from the RV so it (Bigfoot) could have her. I have read where this truly happens. Ewww!
Love listening to these stories, yes while tent camping 🏕 makes you think if all the noises you hear throughout the nite, especially when a branch cracks, then all the flashlight come on and my friend is already in the car , running 🏃♀️ it’s scary 😟
@@R.A.D.G59 Those constant jokes Ballen tells about doing things to the like button annoyed me enough to stop watching the guy. Also the constant hand flapping an extreme animation are too much. I prefer a relaxed laid back guy like Chris.
I've been there and plan to go back. Beautiful forest. Try going to the Sierra's in Alpine county, beautiful rivers and lakes, some of the largest black bears and plenty of unusual activity up there as well that aren't from bear's.
Chris...the only thing I don't like about these videos is when you say...."And THAT is our story for tonight." (I'm so hooked that I never want them to end!) You're such a personable guy and a great storyteller. Thank you!

I did not even have to use closed captions! This guy seems so nice and has such a relaxing way about him, while telling the stories. I like that he does NOT act dramatic. The way he tells the stories, is so genuine. This was an amazing story! You are a wonderful storyteller! Thumbs up.
I know I sound like a broken record but it’s so true when I say another GREAT storytelling by Chris!! That poor lady. Can you imagine?! Yikes😨
😮
Freaky...love the added sound affects.
Fear with a beer...love these stories! Your delivery...and your settings are the best!
That’s a great name! Someone else said Tale with an Ale! kH! C⛺️
I think this was probably the best Bigfoot stories yet! Like the way you did it with the Casual approach❤ and I'm going to try some of that drink! Can't wait for the next one😊 cheers😋👍
Thanks Chris!! You are awesome 👏
Welcome! ⛺️🌲🐻
We used to sit around a big campfire after dinner with dad, or mom telling us spooky ghost stories😂 right before bed…
I miss those days… though mom & dad have passed. Sometimes my siblings, we all get together & still go camping in Montana de Oro. We try to go once a year, & try to go late spring, before all the kids get out of school for obvious reasons.😂
Sounds like Good memories! C🌲🐻🌲
👍
WoW! I feel so bad for fasheed's wife! I bet she doesn't go on Local jobs with them anymore! Looks like you had a few winged friends in your tent Chris! LOL! Great Job as Usual!
Yes- a few moths and other critters …KH! C⛺️🌲🌙
Hello from northern California! I don't live far from the Plumas National Forest. You are such a good story teller! Thank you for sharing!
I can only imagine the tension until sunrise!! I’m sure she didn’t get a moment of shut eye after that. Great story! 👍🏻
I agree with you hershel!!
I love my relaxing Sunday evenings with Base Camp Chris.
i also look forward to Sundays!
Thanks for another excellent story, Chris! The poor wife!
Yeah, I really feel sorry for her!! I was thinking that maybe Bigfoot lured the men away from the RV so it (Bigfoot) could have her. I have read where this truly happens. Ewww!
Really Awesome story tonight!!Thx Chris!
Thanks for listening
Love listening to these stories, yes while tent camping 🏕 makes you think if all the noises you hear throughout the nite, especially when a branch cracks, then all the flashlight come on and my friend is already in the car , running 🏃♀️ it’s scary 😟
I would be running too!
Making memories with a little excitement and great friends, now at my age I’m glad I experienced the events in my life and the life I shared 😇
😃👍@@FUBAR199
Wow , what a story & what a job.
Great way to experience the unknown. I believe her
Glad you enjoyed it
Best storyteller out there. It's like sitting and talking to an old friend.
It certainly is, I couldn't agree more! ! 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
The problem with RUclips stories is without proof, they are just that, stories.
I'm with y'all on this one. Chris is awesome.
He is amazing and my second favorite but I have to go with MrBallen is the best in the game.
@@R.A.D.G59 Those constant jokes Ballen tells about doing things to the like button annoyed me enough to stop watching the guy. Also the constant hand flapping an extreme animation are too much. I prefer a relaxed laid back guy like Chris.
It's great that you're telling this is your dark tent it really adds to the atmosphere. Love your story telling.
Thank you so much!🐺
I've been there and plan to go back. Beautiful forest. Try going to the Sierra's in Alpine county, beautiful rivers and lakes, some of the largest black bears and plenty of unusual activity up there as well that aren't from bear's.
I went camping a handful of times in my life and I don't care to ever go again. Not after these stories! Tx Chris! 🏕
I'm with you maureen!!
I have to say the excellent story telling with the addition of the sound effects just sends it to another level! 👍
Oh it really does Chris, thank you so much!! 🤗 🤗 🤗 🤗
👍
Chris...the only thing I don't like about these videos is when you say...."And THAT is our story for tonight." (I'm so hooked that I never want them to end!) You're such a personable guy and a great storyteller. Thank you!
Chris, you are the one RUclipsr, I look forward to hearing new stories from and your style is 2nd to none . Would love to share my story with you one day !
Keep them coming Chris.. Cheers my friend
KH! C⛺️🌲🌙
👍
I just found this channel and I really wanted to say that I appreciate you
Thank you so much!! C👀🌲🦉🍺
You are the best story teller! I was scared........... gotta get those f'ers!!!
Crazy story and cool that’s a park you don’t hear about often, maybe why Sasquatch likes it , not as crowded as others 🤷♀️ love the low light and the whole set you got going 🏕️ 🔥
Thank you JOHN AND CHRIS GREAT STORY😊
KH! C⛺️🌲🌙
Great delivery of a suspenseful story!!
Discovered you less than a year ago. You are awesome Chris. Like a new family member for us.
Ahhh- that’s great to hear! Chris
⛺️🌙🌲
@@basecampchris I got a peculiar ghost story. Doesn't really fit in line with your videos for the most part. I believe in Sasquatch now after hearing your phone conversations and how many people have had such credible sounding experiences.
@@thehubrisoftheunivris2432 I thought that you were going to tell us your ghost story. 👻👻😱👻👻👻
@@didibolter9362 it's too long and it could have just been a weird coincidence kinda situation. Still freaks me out today though.
@@thehubrisoftheunivris2432 Sounds scary, I'd like to hear it!
You are a really good story teller, Chris. More! More!😮
Hi from Australia Chris. Love your story telling. We call a Bigfoot a Yowie here, same thing though. Keep up the great work!
I heard from a commenter from Australia that there weren't any Bigfoot in Australia.
@@didibolter9362 not sure there are Bigfoot anywhere but if there is, we just have a different name. Some of the stories from Chris certainly make a good case for their existence that’s for sure.
Have you seen a Yowie? Australia has some cool wildlife!
@@littletokyonightmarket4602 not yet. When camping we just look out for all the deadly snakes 😁
No such thing. Maybe it was Willie Wonka walking home from his chocolate factory. Both have the same likelihood.
Ohhh wow! Chris! That's a terrifying encounter! No doubt she wanted to leave! No amount of whisky would do lol! Crazy! Thanks for another great creepy story!
I agree lelani, I wouldn't camp EVER again, no way! 🙉
I was with you the whole time Chris . Awesome story telling !
Yes Chris, you are the BEST story teller on Utube bar none. Love the sound effects & how you have the story memorized so the tales you tell "come to life" with a level of realism that makes us all feel as though we are reliving it ourselves :) And the campfire ambiance sets the stage perfectly for every new adventure! Thanks again Chris!
The BEST!!!
@@seanwhitman4365 no he isn’t. Get your hearing checked please.
@@seanwhitman4365he doesn’t sound drunk at all. Maybe go back to listening to Mr Ballen who just memorizes scripts his professional writers create 🥱
Agree!
Right?? It doesn't matter a bean that he's set up in his backyard -- the story is the thing. Thanks, Chris!
Chris thank you for this incredible true story. Happy everyone got home safe and they shared the story. I tell you I was holding my breath a few times and was thinking about the wife alone in the RV.
Yes- scary stuff!! C ⛺️
So was I!!!
NEVER, and I do mean NEVER leave a female behind!!! We oops, I mean I'm a scardy cat!! 😃
👍
😁
😬
You have done it again Chris! What an amazing storyteller. Thank you Chris 👍
👍
I love the way you retell these stories. It makes it all so real. You have great fans who feel comfortable in sharing their experiences with you. That speaks volumes of how much you truly care for people. Keep the stories coming.
I appreciate that!! C🐻
0:21 LOL Love this guy! Great personality. For me, being a little hard of hearing, I really love the fact that Chris talks clearly and at speed this is very easy to understand. I did not even have to use closed captions! This guy seems so nice and has such a relaxing way about him, while telling the stories. I like that he does NOT act dramatic. The way he tells the stories, is so genuine. This was an amazing story! You are a wonderful storyteller! Thumbs up.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you! C👍🌲
✌
This is a good one! 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
This was a really scary one Chris! You are the best!
I know I sound like a broken record but it’s so true when I say another GREAT storytelling by Chris!! I’ve got a lot going on in my life right now and I can’t tell you how nice it is to just stop for a bit and listen to you. You have a wonderful gift!!! ❤❤ Thank you for your great stories!!!! You’ve found your calling!!!
I agree with you BB!!

✨ F A N T A S T I C JOB with a great story from the Plumas National Forest and the cool ambiance of the lighting and your

That’s half the fun… trying to determine where I’ll tell the story!!c ⛺️
Yes it is fun 🤔 where is Chris gonna be next week lol😮😅😂
Great story Chris...best wishes from Scotland 😊
Thank you Chris. I love the way you make the story come alive. I believe in bigfoot.
Thanks for watching!🌲
The most disturbing part about this story is, it separated the men from the lady, and then goes peeping Tomming 😬
😬
Another great but frightening story. Love your stories.
Nice one Chris! Rasheed’s wife hopefully isn’t damaged for life 😊❤
Oh, I hope she isn't!
Thanks again Chris for another great story . I look forward to your stories every week. Ontario Canada

Welcome! C⛺️
We like to camp at Frenchman's since we live in Reno. I've always wondered if there may be some cryptic beings or bigfoot lurking around..
Yes - Near Chilcoot! Thanks for watching! C 🌲🦉🍺🗻
