I think it is okay to be specific about what you want. Like someone who likes reading more than partying or the other way around , or preferences in hair colour. I think that is completely okay.
But they just described the female character played in a male fantasy movie. The girl next door but with the body of an actress or petite model. And even then is not enough. They get even more specific into how this movie version has to look like. Even casting director are not so restrictive.

The most entitled guy I ever met was a customer at an auto repair shop. The entire time I was writing his estimate and explaining the issues with his truck he was flirting aggressively to the point that it was uncomfortable, and I wasn't sure that he even really understood the repairs I recommended. I tried to ignore and just said, "Well, anyway, the reason your truck sounds rough is...." I asked "do you want to do all the repairs today?". He just gives me the "anything for you" line and signs the $1200 estimate. Right before closing he called and asked for me. Then asks me out and keeps saying I'm so beautiful. I was wearing steel toes and work pants with a ball cap, lol. I told him I was married and pointed out that he must have noticed my wedding band when I was typing. He says "yeah, but how happily married are you?" I said no as politely as I could. The next day he calls my manager and asks for a $1200 refund because he only did the repairs to get me to go out with him. My zone manager called him back to let him know that our garage was not a brothel, and the company does not pimp out female mechanics. A month later his WIFE brought her car in. That took awkward to a new level.
He wasn't entitled but it was awkward for whole other reasons. Like he came by I helped him out sent him on his way. While he's leaving knocks on the back of the guard house door and tries to hand me his phone. I'm confused, we don't speak the same language so I assume he has something written like when I helped him the first time. But nothing but the key pad she I try ask what does he need and he just says number. I get a lot of people not liking that I'm not overly smiley in this job, I'm a security guard I don't smile. Anyway, I think he wants my supervisor or higher ups so I'm like sure let me get you the office number and he's like "no, yours". And I'm like I don't understand. And he just keeps repeating "I like you" and I say no thank you. It takes him a while but I think it finally clicks I said no and he says okay and leaves. He wasn't rude but I'm like, we don't even speak the same language how are we even gonna communicate what is going on? 😂

I actually met a guy who told me that his mom would like me to dress conservatively and be traditional while he would want me to dress more modern (sexy) . I asked him if he would like me change clothes everytime I step out of the house or change in the house and go out while hiding myself from his mom.
It was our first and last meeting.

When I was young and dipping my toe into online dating, I used to get hurt by reading or hearing about all these men's criteria. I am short, small boobs, not naturally blonde, inclined to be plump and I wear glasses. I would try to make myself pretty: dieting, makeup, clothes. But, it was too much work for me. As I got older, I adopted the attitude that "you take me as I am!" It helped me cope with singlehood and being too lazy to get gussied up. Forty years later, I am still single but at least after this You Tube segment, I am wiser. Asking "what do you bring to the table" works both ways. I AM PICKY too. That's why I am single and happily so. Living large, no compromising, no divorce.

Years ago, my ex gf got me. She asked me, please help my friend move. she tells me, small apt. I'm thinking, no big deal right? Jesus. It was like she had every item Macy's, The Gap and the local furniture store had to sell in there. Took me ALL of an afternoon...11am to about 8pm. It was a job indeed. I was just lucky that I was 26 and in tremendous physical condition at that time, so it wasn't too bad. That said, it was the one and only time.

The "nice guy in disguise" also happened to me. Many years back this guy who was a lose acquaintance at best from high school hit me up. And would not let up. Even after I said I wasn't interested. He kept insisting we hang out as friends. I was like hell no! You don't respect my boundaries as strangers, how can I trust he'd respect boundaries as friends. 😬 Just no. Always follow your gut feelings (if something feels off). You never should feel like you have to say yes because someone asks. No is a complete sentence. Period.

A friend did that, he was like an older brother to me. He went back to his high school gf after knowing she was toxic as hell. Ignored all of us for 2 years. Only when they broke up did he try to reach out. I never answered him.
Similarly, my brother had a really good friend & they were pretty much inseparable. My brother witnessed him get into a motorcycle accident & stayed with him until the ambulance arrived. A few months after he healed he got a gf & never spoke to my brother again. My brother tried reaching out a few times but radio silence on the friends end. Friendship over.
You can have a relationship AND have friendships. It's not that hard to maintain both.

I don’t understand why more women don’t learn how to do more of these things for themselves! When I was married, if there was anything that we bought that had to be put together, like kids toys or furniture, etc, I was the one who did it. Because I follow directions and have patience whereas my ex would get mad and throw stuff when he figured out he was doing it wrong because he didn’t read the directions!! So I know how to do a lot of things, and some I just learn as I go! Just a couple months ago I took apart my entire washing machine because there was a drainage issue. My kids thought I’d never get it put back together, but I did and I was pretty proud of myself! So when my ex left, he left his tools, I was glad because I used them more than he did anyways 😂

Years ago, I was out with friends on one of their boats, and we went to a bar right on the water. As we were sitting there, one of my friends pointed out this adorable guy who kept staring at me. He was really cute and had the sweetest smile. He worked at the bar, and my friend asked him when he got off work, and he said he was done for the night. We invited him to hang with us, and he did. We talked the entire night, and we really clicked with one another. At the end of the night, he asked me out for the following weekend, and I said yes. We made plans to go to the aquarium and just spend the day together. Mind you, when we first met, he was wearing a baseball hat from his job, and I didn't think anything of it since he told me he was 24 years old. When he came to pick me up, he was wearing a different baseball hat. While we were out, he took off his hat, and to my shock, he was nearly bald. I wasn't into bald guys, and I decided I would not go out with him again. Even though I didn't care for his baldness, we got along so well and had so much fun together. I put my petty feelings aside, and we ended up dating for three years until I found out he was doing hard drugs (heroin). I told him that for us to stay together, he had to quit but sadly, his addiction was too overwhelming, and he was unable to stop. I still kept in contact with him for quite a while, but after he lost everything and became homeless, we lost touch. Years later, I heard that he got his life together and was married and had three kids. If he hadn't gone down the path he did, I know we would have gotten married because he really was such a good man, and I loved him so much.
I am so sorry. Unfortunately, addicts and alc almost always have to hit rock bottom, whatever is 'rock bottom' to him or her.

I've been on that road myself - finding out that your boyfriend is doing hard drugs. After 4 months of trying to clean him up - I cared for him and I would stayed with him - but one night, driving around looking in a crappy area for him again to see if hes freakin' using, I realized that this wasn't love. I'm not going keep 'saving' him. I'm losing me. I found him but then drove away. Haven't seen him since.
That was 30 years ago.
And thank GOODNESS that I didn't get pregnant from the guy. Phew. Talking about dodging bullets!
I found that he married several years ago but spent YEARS in rehab and halfway houses. And yeah, I have wondered off and on through the years of what kind of life we could have had if he had never used drugs then I think about the life I could have had staying with him; broke, with messed up kids and me using with him as well.

I'm from middle eastern Europe and the general opinion of both Canadians and Australians is that they're generally nice people. In my mind I visualise them as siblings, where Australian is the slightly more outgoing, beaming personality that draws everyone in as soon as they enter a room and Canada, although a tiny bit more reserved, brings just as much confidence and politeness, but you also get a very comforting vibe from them?

Dude, your videos are so funny! I have something to tell you… I had a girl do a reversal from what you were talking about. She actually made all of her photos look uglier than she really was. I flew her to the United States from Colombia. When she arrived, I could not believe my eyes because she was a legit supermodel. She actually downplayed her photos the entire time we were getting to know each other. Instead of making herself look better, she made herself look worse. Most guys are pretty simple to keep happy in a relationship. Once you figure it out, you realize most guys have the same combination to unlock their happiness (123) in a dating relationship. Women have a 6 digit alpha numeric combination to unlock their happiness. Have to give a point to gay males in the area of dating.
But also in 1955, maybe the guy was able to make enough money to be the provider but the woman/wife took care of the house, etc and was really proud of how she did it all. My parents were old school (married in 1946) and dad managed to make enough to live on. My mom was always the home keeper. For mom, when we came home on a Sunday for a family dinner, for her, if that beef roast platter was cleaned right off and there were no more potatoes or veggies left, she knew she had once again made a great meal. The "New" way of doing things - the one sided take care of me just because I am me crap is so out of whack. I got divorced in 1988 and have been happily on my own since. Will be until I croak too. I had a friend who has had this kind of attitude for forty years, long before dating aps. She is now still single in her mid-sixties. She has always been on the prowl but she finds a reason to stop seeing a guy after no more than three dates. There is always something wrong with his personality, career choice or interests. I once asked her what she brought to the relationships. She was astonished that I had to ask. I still don't know what the answer would be. Somehow I don't think it was that she is great in the sack. Also she is a Karen to people that are obligated to be polite to her like service industry workers. You notice that I said "was" my friend. Actually, doing a house project for her as a first date sounds appealing. Honestly, it sounds like fun, you get to see how she lives, it's a creative date, and it might be a good situation to get to know each other. It's a prime opportunity to see how she'll treat the guy in normal situations.
No. It sounded like a desperate person trying to get free labor under the guise of a date and taking advantage of a person's skill without the intention of paying them for their work. If she can't make an effort to meet on mutual ground especially for the first date, since you LITERALLY DON'T KNOW HER, than she's fishing for free work. That's it. HOW can a first date be fun when she's telling you to bring your damn tools and get grimed up fixing her broke shit. You can't enjoy yourself, have a 'nice' time and really get to know a person when you're her maintenance man. Don't settle, you deserve to relax so you can actually take time to get to know her, and not be used by her.
To this I would simply say "Don't do anything that causes you to have an unreasonable expectation on someone else." If you come, do some chores for her. She lets you finish a bunch of work and then says, "Thanks but I'm just not feeling any chemistry" are you going to feel used? If the answer is "Yes" then you should absolutely never do this! This is a first date, and there's very little chance she'll actually find you attractive so the most likely outcome is that she uses you for work and then ends it there and does the same to as many guys as will come out. You absolutely don't do this unless that wouldn't feel the least bit unfair to you.

Judging from the comments I’ve read in prior videos (and this one), it isn’t that they exist but that there are so many to have to sift through that it must be exhausting! Reminds me of a time when I worked with this one guy. I thought we were just good friends and my job had an end of the season dance. When interviewing a partner, doing a home project will quickly tell each person strengths and weaknesses in the relationship. This was a psychological study several years ago. Has anyone ever built a piece of furniture with another person? Even a family member the project is completed in an excellent display of “our” relationship.
I’m not encouraging anyone go to a strangers house. BUT-this is something I’ve watched objectively since I read the study.

That lady did not want to do a home project with anyone, what she wanted was a handyman to do hours worth of labor for free and I highly doubt she would have paid for any of the supplies either. First date projects are definitely things people do, but it's usually in a group setting and something simple, like pottery making or glass blowing or environmental clean up and volunteering. It's not "be my chore slave".

It could be going out on a boat or a ropes course or something. There are cooperative games. Anything you have to work together and communicate on. The dating profile girl wanted someone to come over to her house and do it for her. This comment is about doing stuff together on a date.
