Heck Yeah! Great boom-chucka-chucka drivin' beat unpinning this version... absolutely a classic with David Grisman making on the mando and the fiddle taking it all home!
yeah that's right I coouldn't remember names in his band' it's been so long since I've seen a Grisman show. Is the group still on hiatus due to the passing of someone's wife. Always have enjoyed meeting Grisman after shows, although sometimes I was too loopy or he was talking business with some one about buying their instrument and I was too loopy, I liked the strange look he gave me. Always tried to get his autograph on whatever disc I bought or one of his d unfamiliar albums I came across
Yes most of it does, but there is a little something extra Jerry brings to it. Reggae and bluegrass are very similar, both are forms of folk music and have great jams. Much love to you!
Love you Bobby we’re my best friend since the beginning of time
An incredibly gruesome and sad song brilliantly performed.
Love this song makes me wanna hug Jerry so much. Dreadful wind and rain is an incredible tagline and song...
Fine version of the Irish folk song as performed by Altan and others! Garcia and Grisman are fabulous musicians. Love the fairytale.
I always imagine altan playing somewhere..... forever and ever
I love the Dead, but believe me when I tell you grisman and garcia is where it was at
If there’s one thing this world is missing, it’s more Garcia/Grisman
Love this song... so sad and yet so beautiful
I've had this show for years now but have never seen video to go along with it. Thanks for posting.
Nice audio quality on this - thank for posting. I miss Jerry.

Mule sez -simply fine
Is that Joe Craven on Fiddle?
what chords is he playing after the E's and A's when he works his way up the fret board?
I think its Bminor, C#minor, D, E
Does all bluegrass have a reggae like beat or is that just Jerry's touch
Yes most of it does, but there is a little something extra Jerry brings to it. Reggae and bluegrass are very similar, both are forms of folk music and have great jams. Much love to you!
That is Grisman's bassist
Great song but wheres my dude John Kahn?
So sad, you can see Jerry's poor hand shaking about, in his few years of sobriety.
uh yeah the palsy! actually just vibrato :)
Wish I could get my hand to shake like that! 😊
His fingers are shaking
so was it Craven who lost his wife?
