Great intro! I enjoyed the content. A deeper look at using our smartphone cameras would help a lot of people as the camera capabilities on our phones are eclipsing decent point and shoot cameras now. Thanks!
Hey, thank you for you did. I was a Pro I owner. Although I have switched to another phone because I need higher pixels. but I still keeping my Pro I and use it. I never forget the photography ui bring me in sony camera, the ui made me understand the knowlage until I bought my a74 and use it. keep go on, someone need you.
Different Mode basically adjust 1 out of 3 items (Shutter speed, aperture or ISO).. since mobile aperture is fixed, which mean only 2 aspects will be dynamic based on user decision.. P mode - user pick ISO value, device will auto adjust SS for you.. S mode - user pick shutter speed, and device will auto adjust ISO for you.. M mode, basically you decide for both value, ISO & SS.. in digital camera there is another mode call Aperture mode.. which you pick your aperture, and device auto adjust ISO & SS.. if you not familiar, go with P mode for stills object with low ISO value.. if you capturing moving subjects, go with S mode.. to avoid blurry image, try double your SS value according to lens.. e.g. 24mm lens, at least keep at 1/50 to avoid blurry pic due to hand shake.. go with S mode when you are capturing something moving fast, go at least 1/100 or faster.. 1/250 & above basically can get a nice picture of moving fan in still image..
I really believe there will be a trend of smartphones with variable aperture in the near future, specially with 1 inch sensors getting popular.. Huawei mate 40 pro already has V.A, rumors are Xiaomi 13 ultra will launch in april with V.A; and I expect nothing less from Sony :) Great video :)
I really hope so! Honestly having something like the Xiaomi 12S Ultra Concept where you have two separate one inch sensors, one with a normal phone style lens then a mount for the other sensor to work with third party lenses, would be awesome. I'd totally be down for that. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@ShibiChan Yep, just wish it was an mft mount, lots of small lenses with different magnifications available... It's my dream, along with a "magsafe like" grip to improve ergonomics :)
Finally, i got my Sony Xperia 5 II for about $200 (Php 10999)..I'm enjoying the camera pro especially when used in astrophotography..i need to buy my own tripod though..are you going to make a astrophotography video? Or you already did?
Congrats on your device! I think the 5ii is a great device. I wish I would've gotten that over the 1ii when it came out. An astro video is a great idea! It'll probably be a minute to get things sorted out for that, but I'd love to do something like that. I'll put that on the top of my list! Thanks for the support!
Really enjoy my IV so far, best thing to do is to just go out there and start trying out. Did so many awesome photos of my holidays no other phone would be able to do! I stick with Sony for that for the rest they making phones.
very good tutorial👌 I love watching your videos. I have a question, what do you think about HDR shots or do you only shoot in DRO Auto? Many greetings from Germany
Thanks so much for watching! I'm usually not a fan of auto HDR, I just don't like the way it turns out. I'll occasionally do manual HDR shots though by shooting two separate exposures and combining them in post. Maybe I could do a video on that
I've found the AI option good for things like text far away, but not for cityscape or nature. It tends to really distort those. So I'll turn it on if I'm trying to see text far away, otherwise I keep it off!
@@matyasdobrovszky6951 No need to apologize! Always HDR off for me, I hate how HDR shots turn out on basically any device. Sometimes I have DRauto on, sometimes off. I mostly shoot RAW (DNG) and edit after anyway, and I don't think that setting affects the raw file output. So short answer, never HDR, sometime DRauto on, just depends how I'm feeling lol
And wich focus area you prefer for what kind of pictures. i maked some photos and lots of situation i got a bad focus while its on AF-C and wide focus area@@ShibiChan

My zoom shots are always blurry. The 24mm works great but if I zoom it gets blurry. I've tried everything, MF, AF, Auto everything, even high shutter speeds to cancel out my movement. How do you do it?
Love the crowd you attracted during the demonstrations

I've finally made the leap from using my a7s iv to using my pixel 2 exclusively. Thank u
Awesome video for mobile photographers.
Thank you! I hope it helped / entertained

can you make a video about the camera modes? P, S and M. It would be interesting when to use the right mode for a specific situations please.

Did 85mm - 125mm lens can change aperture from 2.3 - 2.8? Btw awesome video.
Yes! It changes between f2.3 and f2.8, with steps between depending on the focal length. like 90mm being f2.4, etc. And thank you!
Is it possible to change the F number on the Xperia 1 iv?
Not on the 1iv! The Pro-I is the only Sony device that allows that
Do you recommend to change the digital zoom to AI option or stay with the normal digital zoom ( xperia IV )?
I've found the AI option good for things like text far away, but not for cityscape or nature. It tends to really distort those. So I'll turn it on if I'm trying to see text far away, otherwise I keep it off!

Honestly most of my shots from the telephoto aren't good either. I do my best to hide it with editing lol
