It's an awesome Batman run! And Court of Owls is definitely in my top 5 of Batman stories. Even though it's not as good as vol. 1, can't wait for vol. 2 to complete the whole run!

Court of owls is my favorite Batman story. There is a lot of great Batman to choose from so I know not everyone agrees, but for me it’s definitely my favorite. Plus it ties into the whole metal story by Snyder later on. Love the overview man keep them coming!
I just purchased this omnibus, I am a bit worried as I purchased it used so it could be the first printing, hopefully with a good spine stretch it will be all good.
I don't think the first printing was even as bad as some people said, not saying it was great, but yeah I'm sure you could stretch it and it'd be fine if so. DC omnibuses tend to have pretty tight binding in general anyway.

It's a good starting point for Batman, the New 52 (which this was part of) was meant to be accessible to new readers so you don't really need much prior knowledge of any stories that came before to be able to enjoy it. There's other great Batman stories I'd definitely recommend for a new reader including Year One, Dark Knight Returns, Killing Joke and Long Halloween. Those are some of the all time classics if you haven't read them already. If you're specifically after an omnibus though, this would be a good choice, but you can probably find it for a bit less than £70 if you look around
Had these in TPBs when first released. Only kept the first two as the latter stories didn't resonate with me. Looks like the run ended on a positive note with Zero Year.
Court of Owls is the best story in the whole Snyder & Capullo run in my opinion, but if you enjoy that story then I'm sure you'd enjoy the rest of it too. I'd say it perhaps mostly depends on what kind of price you can find the book for as to whether it's worth it for the Death of the Family and Zero Year arcs specifically

Zero Year is a good take on Batman's origin, I liked the whole book but that Court of Owls stuff is definitely the highlight story arc
